Heyz everyone,

It's been a minute since I've been able to get into my Patreon account and post for you all. This is an important post so I'm not going to do a TLDR, but I will try (and fail) not to ramble too much. Importantly, I'm not going anywhere and this post is actually positive on the whole.

🔷 ABOUT JANUARY

I will start with an apology about being unable to give any updates or content in January. (I'm going to pause the next billing period, so that you get a month free to try to make up for it; more info below.) I see my notification dot in the DMs and I haven't been able to read them yet, but I already know some of them are kind words of concern, so I'll thank you in advance and I'll reply to each of you in the near future.

The end of December and January steam-rolled its way through my life. I caught something that was rough to begin with, then I woke up a few days later and felt like I had been hit by a truck. I was bed-ridden and asleep for the better part of 2 weeks. If you remember my post from last year, I opened up about going through a very emotional time with a sick family member. Well, that family member is my parent and I've gladly taken on responsibility because my family means everything to me. Unfortunately, they caught what I had before I could quarantine myself away from them, which was detrimental.

During this time, I've really had some time to reflect on how I've been handling Dayz, what she means to me, and how I'd like to move forward; and now, I want to share those thoughts with you.

This is a place where I really discovered my creativity, and I take the content that I produce for you all seriously because my work ethic is to put my best into everything I do. However, I have struggled when it comes to managing "everything Dayz," especially when the unexpected comes up in my life. I'm not a full-time voice actor, I do not have business experience, my field of study is in STEM, and my biggest time use outside of that is sports. So, you can see why I've struggled at various periods with content when huge events have slammed their way into my life. This is NOT me making excuses, this is me explaining and letting you all "in" more. Sharing my vulnerabilities is uncomfortable, but self-realizations and personal growth are made outside our comfort zones. In the past when I have opened up, you all have treated me with kindness.

🔷 PAUSED BILLING - 1 MONTH FREE

If I had the foresight to pause billing for the past month, before things took a turn for the worst, I would have. To hopefully make up for it, I am going to pause the upcoming billing period, making February's charge 0. That means, this month you will receive your regular content plus the Voter-Exclusive-Audio from December.

When you enter my Patreon page, a box pops up letting you know that billing is suspended. But don't worry, nothing changes for you during the paused billing period, other than current patrons will NOT be charged. (new patrons and tier changes will be charged) Here's a link to Patreon's billing pause information page: link.

🔷 TIER UPDATES ARE COMING

In March, when billing resumes, I will be updating my tiers. In a couple weeks I will make a post with detailed information explaining the exact changes. I want to give you all plenty of time to ask any questions or give any input.

I decided that I would be making changes after a lot of introspection, objective self-assessment and the continued goal to give you all the best Patreon page that I can. Although I don't have the exact details yet, these are positive changes coming that will ensure I give you the high-quality Dayz content you all love on a reliable basis.

As you all know, I get really excited about new ideas, big ideas, and projects! It's because of your hype and support, I constantly want to give you as much as I can, but have a tendency to over-estimate what I can actually accomplish. My passion and excitement get derailed by my perfectionism, which causes me to hyper-focus on the minutia. Because of this, I can easily get behind and worse, when a big unexpected event happens it caused a month like January. So, I'll cut the rambling here, but I just wanted you all to know that positive changes and a more reliable content release schedule are coming.
