Hello friends! Training of Candace/Kandi is now complete! Thanks so much for your patience! Because of your support, I was able to train in the cloud again, which is much faster than training locally! So thank you! TLDR: The next step is to generate keyframes. Also, I plan to release an updated video model comparison in the next week or two.

The reason for the delay was mainly that Flux trains very badly so I ended up training an individual model for each character. The good news is that both models produce similar enough images that I should be able to transition smoothly by just passing the image from one model to the other midway through the generation process. It worked well in my tests at least!

To illustrate, I attached a comparison image that all used the exact same prompt and seed. The first image is base Flux (before I did any training). The other two are my finetuned models for Candace and Kandi. You can see the first image is smoother and more plastic-looking. The other two are more realistic, and more importantly, they look fairly similar to each other stylistically. This should allow for a smooth transition!

The next step is to generate keyframes. The shots for this animation are the most complex I’ve ever attempted, so generating the images, fixing in photoshop, inpainting, upscaling, (Kling rejecting them, starting over lol) – it’s all going to take quite a while, I anticipate. I’ll work as quickly as I can, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s don’t rush the keyframes! While I’m generating in the cloud with Flux, I should also be able to complete my video model comparison update, so look out for that in the next week or so!
