Basically she knows that being in the water would put her at the mercy of Auda's power, so it's best to not step foot in it. Lubo and Tygo have figured this out too, which is why they're pushing back.
Speaking of which, now I've gotten to shown another thing the power can be used for. A distraction! Also yay I didn't ahve to break the 180 rule during a fight scene page.
