General Update #29

Hey there agents!

Today we have a few things to talk about in regards to Silent Echo's next update.

Consequences

Sometimes, earlier decisions we've made come bite us when we least expect it. For the players who chose to not free Sylvia from her restraints and lock her up in the room she was found in, there will be consequences in Chapter 2's epilogue.

Whereas players that saved Sylvia (or didn't meet her at all) will play through a different encounter, players who intentionally left her behind will have to face a very angry Sylvia, hellbent on making you suffer for what you've done.

As the fierce opponent that she is, Sylvia is sure to cause you some trouble on the way out!

Sex Scenes

In this update, along with the addition of Chapter 2's finale, we're looking to add more content in areas where it is needed.

One of them is the addition of additional interactions with the squad members in the security room, including some new sex scenes featuring Victoria, who currently doesn't have any besides those in the Christmas event.

Therefore in regards to Victoria, we're looking to add two sex scenes featuring her, with one of them being a threesome involving Agent 36, Victoria and Sylvia. Scenes involving multiple characters will become increasingly more common as time goes on and the bond between the characters grow.

Ava & Emilia

In an earlier post, we've talked about the issue we had with implementing Ava's evolution due to the addition of the skin system.

In parallel of completing Chapter 2, we've been working on fine-tuning the story of Chapter 3 and already started to prepare some of its artwork. While we were working on this, we've had some thought about what we should do with Ava and Emilia.

If we look at what happens in Chapter 2, it turns out that it's already more packed than you would think. We have Agent 36's 3rd and 4th corruption levels, 3 upgrade paths for Lina, Victoria's evolution and the acquisition of Sylvia.

It's already a lot of things and it made us think if it was really a smart choice to add even more evolutions to deal with in Chapter 2.

With that in mind, it seems smarter to us to move Ava's second evolution and Emilia's first corruption threshold changes to happen early in Chapter 3 instead of stuffing even more important events in Chapter 2.

Timeline

We're looking to put the patch in early access around February 15th if all goes well, and no later than February 22th if we have some pesky bugs to deal with.
