Devour Vol 2 Ch 5: Entertaining? A Battle Between Sisters!

Conrad couldn't breathe—not because he lacked air, but because the sheer absurdity of his situation had robbed him of the ability to process reality. One moment he was pinned to the wall of his ruined home by some incomprehensible crimson force, the next he was watching his roof disintegrate as a glowing, golden-haired giant descended from the heavens like a wrathful goddess.

She stood tall amidst the debris, pieces of the ceiling scattered around her feet, her body glowing with an ethereal light that pulsed with raw energy. Her golden eyes scanned the scene, locking onto Conrad with an intensity that made him shrink back.

The crimson energy that had pinned him suddenly dissolved in the presence of the golden glow, and Conrad fell to the ground with a painful thud. Groaning, he barely managed to push himself up on his elbows when her voice boomed.

"Sisters," she said, her tone sharp and commanding, her gaze fixed on the two other women who remained casually seated in what was left of the kitchen. "This planet is mine. This human is mine."

The crimson-haired woman, now lounging in her chair as if the destruction of the house was a mere inconvenience, let out a sharp laugh. Her fiery eyes sparkled with amusement as she gestured lazily at their surroundings.

"All of this?" Crimson asked, her voice dripping with mockery. She gestured toward the rubble-strewn floor and the distant horizon, as if claiming the whole world was absurd. "This is yours?"

Her laughter echoed through the remains of the house, growing louder and more menacing as the air around her shimmered with heat. She stood up, her towering presence radiating an almost tangible pressure. "Then why don't you just take it?!"

The flames surrounding her body erupted, sending waves of heat and light tearing through the room. The explosion came next, an unstoppable force that obliterated what little remained of the house. Smoke and debris filled the air, and Conrad instinctively threw his arms over his face to shield himself.

But before he could react further, he felt a firm grip on the back of his collar. His body jerked upward, the ground vanishing beneath him as he was dragged through the air at an alarming speed. The wind howled around him, tugging at his clothes, and he opened his eyes just enough to realize that the black-haired woman was carrying him. She held him by the scruff of his collar as if he weighed nothing, her expression calm despite the chaos they left behind.

"Uh—thanks?" Conrad managed to sputter, his voice shaky, but she didn't respond.

As they climbed higher into the sky, the clouds parted around them. He looked down, realizing with growing dread just how far they'd come. His house, his street, everything he knew had become a distant blur below.

It was then that he saw it: two massive beams of light shooting up into the heavens, one a radiant gold and the other a blazing crimson red. The energy pillars seemed to stretch infinitely into the void, their intensity leaving afterimages in his vision.

"What is happening?" Conrad muttered, his voice trembling.

The blue of the sky faded into the blackness of space, though Conrad somehow found himself still able to breathe. That momentary comfort vanished as he looked upward—and froze.

There, in the void, were two incomprehensible figures. Titans. Gods. Their forms were beyond anything he had ever seen, their sheer size defying logic and reason. He could only make out their faces and a portion of their necks, their bodies stretching far beyond what his eyes could perceive.

The blonde-haired titan, her glowing golden eyes ablaze with fury, stared down her crimson-haired sister, who grinned with the playful malice of someone enjoying a game. They seemed miles apart, yet their immense size made it feel as if they were only inches away from each other.

Conrad couldn't take his eyes off them. They were so massive, so impossibly vast, that it felt as though the entire universe revolved around their confrontation. His mind struggled to comprehend it all.

Before he could spiral further into panic, his feet touched solid ground. Blinking in confusion, he looked down, expecting dirt or stone—but what he saw was... pink. The ground beneath him was solid, yet unnervingly soft, its surface shimmering faintly as though it were alive.

"What the hell is this?" Conrad muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

The black-haired woman landed beside him, her feet making no sound against the strange terrain. She glanced at him, her expression amused but tinged with embarrassment. "Don't move around too much," she said, her voice carrying a hint of awkwardness. "I'm, um... very sensitive."

Conrad blinked at her, his confusion deepening. "Sensitive? What the hell are you talking about? Where are we?"

Her lips curled into a mischievous smile, and she leaned closer, her eyes gleaming with playful malice. "Oh, here?" she said, gesturing vaguely to the ground around them. "You're standing on... my nipple."

Conrad froze, his jaw dropping. "What—WHAT?!" he yelled, stumbling back in disbelief.

The black-haired woman laughed, her shoulders shaking as she covered her mouth. "Oh, relax," she said, her tone light and teasing. "It's not like you'll break anything."

Conrad stared at her, his mind reeling. This wasn't just insane—it was beyond insane. He had been dragged into the middle of some cosmic sibling rivalry, standing on what was apparently a body part of one of these beings.

"What is wrong with you people?" Conrad finally shouted, throwing his arms up in exasperation.

"People?" she echoed, her laughter fading into a smirk. "We're far beyond that, little one. You should feel honored."

Before Conrad could respond, the void around them rumbled. The golden and crimson lights intensified, and the two titans began to move. Their immense faces shifted, and Conrad felt the ground beneath him tremble.

The blonde titan's voice boomed across the void, shaking the very fabric of space. "This planet is mine. You will not take it from me."

The crimson-haired titan responded with a laugh, her fiery eyes gleaming. "Then prove it, little sister. Let's see if you've grown strong enough to claim what you desire."

The black-haired woman beside Conrad sighed, placing a hand on her hip. "Looks like they're about to tear each other apart," she said casually, as though this were an everyday occurrence.

Conrad stared at her, incredulous. "And that doesn't bother you?!"

She shrugged. "Not really. It's entertaining."

As the titans prepared for their clash, Conrad could only stand there, overwhelmed and terrified, wondering how he had gotten caught up in the middle of something so far beyond his comprehension.
