GTS Summoner Ch 4: The Fighting Of Gnats!

(Knight)

The towering knight continued her rampage through the city, each swing of her massive sword tearing through what little remained. Buildings crumbled like sandcastles under the weight of her blows, and the streets were left scarred with deep trenches, the once-bustling metropolis reduced to a wasteland of dust, debris, and flame. Her silver armor gleamed with an almost otherworldly light, reflecting the chaos she wrought.

But then, a new sound pierced the air—a deep, resonant hum that quickly built into a roar. Tanks rolled into the city, their treads grinding over rubble, and aircraft screeched overhead, their engines rattling the broken windows of the remaining buildings. Soldiers poured into the streets, their voices drowned out by the cacophony of war machines.

The knight paused mid-stride, her glowing red eyes narrowing as the military forces opened fire. Missiles launched from the jets streaked toward her, leaving trails of smoke in the sky. Explosions erupted across her body, engulfing her in fire and smoke.

For the first time, the towering figure cried out in pain. Her voice was a thunderous roar that shook the city, reverberating through the streets and sending tremors through the ground. She staggered backward, her massive steel boots carving craters into the earth as she struggled to maintain her balance.

From below, the tanks unleashed their volleys, aiming for her face. Shells struck her helmet and the exposed parts of her skin, leaving scorch marks and dents. Soldiers fired relentlessly, their bullets ricocheting off her armor or embedding themselves in the soft spots where the plates didn't meet.

"Gnats!" she groaned, shaking her head violently in irritation. The movement sent her golden hair whipping through the air, a few soldiers unlucky enough to be too close sent flying like leaves caught in a hurricane.

Snarling, she slammed her massive hand into the ground, crushing several tanks and scattering soldiers like ants. Her fingers dug into the earth, leaving massive gouges as she pushed herself upright. Dust and debris rained down around her as she rose to her full height, her steel boots flattening everything beneath them—vehicles, barricades, even the bodies of those who had tried to flee.

Her glowing red eyes burned brighter as she gripped her sword with both hands. The weapon began to hum, the intricate symbols along its blade glowing with a brilliant golden light. The air around her seemed to tremble as she concentrated, her power gathering into the weapon.

"Be gone," she said, her voice low and calm, yet echoing with unyielding authority.

She swung.

The blade cut through the air with a blinding flash of golden light, so bright that the sky seemed to split apart. The shockwave was instantaneous, rushing out in all directions. Waves of dirt, rock, and shattered glass surged through the streets like a tidal wave, tearing apart what little remained of the city. Buildings that had somehow survived her earlier onslaught were obliterated, collapsing into piles of rubble.

When the light faded, silence fell over the ruins. The knight stood amidst the devastation, her massive figure framed by the lingering glow of her attack. The ground beneath her feet was scorched, the air thick with dust and ash. She surveyed the destruction with an expression that was unreadable—calm, detached, as though this level of devastation was no more than her duty.

Her gaze dropped to her chestplate, where she noticed something unusual: a tiny soldier clinging to the edge of her armor, his face pale with terror.

She raised a brow, tilting her head slightly to get a better look. "Pathetic," she said, her voice dripping with disdain.

"Please," the soldier stammered, his voice barely audible over the distant crackle of flames. "Let me go. Please."

She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. A strange sensation rippled through her body—a tingling that began in her chest and spread outward, growing stronger with every passing second.

The ground beneath her feet began to shake again, but this time it wasn't from her movements. Her entire body began to grow, her form swelling larger and larger. Her steel boots tore apart the already-ruined streets, crushing entire blocks beneath them as they expanded. Her hands grew massive, her fingers thick enough to wrap around entire buildings. The intricate details of her armor remained flawless as it adjusted to her growing size, its shimmering symbols glowing brighter.

By the time she stopped, she was a true colossus, her new height towering over even the tallest skyscrapers. She stood at least 300 feet tall, her shadow blanketing the ruined city below. Her every breath sent gusts of wind rippling through the air, scattering dust and debris.

She glanced down at the tiny soldier still clinging to her chestplate, his grip now even more insignificant against the vast expanse of her armor. With a massive, gauntleted hand, she reached for him, pinching him delicately between her thumb and forefinger.

"Leave my sight," she said, her voice low and rumbling like distant thunder. With a flick of her finger, she sent the soldier hurtling through the air. His screams grew fainter as he disappeared into the distance.

She stood still for a moment, surveying the ruins around her. The city was little more than a wasteland now, its streets filled with rubble and ash. Smoke rose in thick plumes, darkening the sky.

Her glowing red eyes turned toward the horizon, where another cluster of buildings still stood, untouched by her wrath. Her lips curled into a faint, cold smile.

Without a word, she began to move, her massive boots crushing everything in her path. Her sword hung loosely at her side, glowing faintly with the power it had unleashed. The first calamity was far from finished. There was still so much left to destroy.
