GTS Agent Ch 21: Force To Comply!
Added 2024-12-26 00:12:22 +0000 UTCAgent 100 and Agent 10 stood in the vast clearing outside the shimmering walls of Vallorin, their towering forms casting colossal shadows over the sprawling city. To the citizens of Vallorin, the agents were living mountains, their sheer presence an unnatural force that dwarfed everything familiar.
Agent 10, ever the one to enjoy theatrics, crouched down with exaggerated slowness, her playful smirk only growing as she leaned closer to the trembling city. One of her pink ponytails slipped over her shoulder as she rested her chin on her palm, tilting her head in mock curiosity.
Her voice, simultaneously sweet and deafening, rippled through the city like a thunderstorm. "Well, my tiny friends, what's it going to be?" she teased, her words slow and deliberate, as if speaking to children. "Join the Confederation and enjoy all the benefits of protection and progress, or..." She let the sentence dangle ominously, her other hand lightly tapping the ground beside the city, causing miniature earthquakes that sent ripples through the streets. "Or, we can see how durable this city really is."
Her massive boots rested on the outskirts of Vallorin, their treads alone higher than the city's gates. A few brave—or foolish—civilians peeked out from windows, watching her looming face in terror. Others huddled in bunkers or beneath makeshift shelters, whispering prayers to forgotten gods.
Behind her, Agent 100 sighed deeply. His arms crossed over his chest as he watched her antics, his expression a mix of frustration and resignation. He knew this routine too well: the moment of decision, the inevitable defiance, and what always came after. For a moment, he considered reminding her to stay on task, but he knew better than to interrupt her "fun."
The city's response, or lack thereof, stretched the silence to an unbearable degree. Agent 100 shifted uncomfortably, already sensing where this was headed. "10, we should—"
"Shhh," she interrupted, holding a finger to her lips and winking back at him. "Give them time. I'm sure they're working on a way to chat with me." She giggled, and the sound resonated like a wave of thunder, rattling the city's glass towers.
Then it happened. A faint light emerged from the city, a flicker of defiance rising into the air. A projectile—primitive by their standards—shot toward her with surprising speed. Agent 10 followed its arc with a raised brow and the same amused smirk, making no effort to move as the missile hurtled toward her. It struck her chest, landing squarely against her right breast, and exploded into a brilliant flash.
Agent 10 blinked, glancing down at the point of impact. The area was untouched, not even a singe or scuff on her skin. A deep, rolling laugh bubbled from her throat, shaking the ground beneath her. She leaned back slightly, placing a hand on her hip as she grinned down at the city.
"Really? That's all you've got?" she teased, brushing at her chest as though wiping away dust. "Cute, but I think you're going to need a bit more firepower to get my attention."
Agent 100, standing further back, raised a hand to his earpiece and began transmitting to the Confederation. "Vallorin has responded with aggression," he reported in a calm, measured tone. "No significant threat detected, but they've chosen defiance over diplomacy. Awaiting further orders."
As the transmission ended, Agent 10 turned to him with an expectant grin, her hands resting on her knees. "Well? What's the verdict?"
Agent 100 let out another sigh, lowering his hand. "The Confederation wants them to surrender, not to destroy them outright," he said, his voice carrying a note of weariness. "No annihilation. Just force their compliance."
Agent 10's grin widened, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, that's not a problem," she said, standing back to her full, imposing height. Her massive shadow swallowed Vallorin once more as she stretched her arms above her head, cracking her knuckles loudly. "I'll just have to be... persuasive."
Her laughter erupted again, booming over the city like a violent storm. Buildings trembled, and cracks spread across the streets from the sheer force of her voice. Civilians screamed and scattered, clutching their ears or diving for cover.
"Let's see how long it takes for you little bugs to change your minds," Agent 10 said, a mischievous sparkle in her eye as she raised one colossal boot, the tread casting a shadow over an entire district. "After all, I've got all the time in the world."
Agent 10 loomed over Vallorin like a force of nature, her massive frame casting an oppressive shadow across the city. Her laughter echoed through the crumbling streets as she stomped forward, her boots reducing entire districts to rubble with each deliberate step. She took her time, savoring the sensation of buildings crumbling beneath her weight, the crunch of steel and stone vibrating up through her soles.
"Oh, this feels amazing," she said, tilting her head back with a playful grin. She ground her foot into a cluster of buildings, twisting it as if snuffing out a cigarette. The remnants of the structures flattened into unrecognizable debris, sending plumes of dust into the air. "I've got to hand it to you little guys—you build sturdy cities, but they just don't hold up under pressure." She giggled at her own joke, her laughter rumbling like an earthquake.
Agent 100 stood further back, arms crossed tightly over her chest as she watched Agent 10's antics with an expression of thinly veiled disgust. Her dark eyes tracked 10's movements, each gleeful step drawing more destruction, more chaos. She clenched her fists at her sides, her jaw tightening as Agent 10 continued her rampage.
"Enough," she muttered under her breath, though she knew Agent 10 wasn't listening. She never did.
Agent 10 crouched low, her hands pressed into the earth as she brought her face down to the ground, her lips parting in a wide, devilish grin. Her breath, powerful and overwhelming, rushed over the fleeing crowds like a gale-force wind. She inhaled sharply, the suction dragging panicked civilians off their feet and pulling them toward her.
"Where do you think you're going?" she teased, her voice both playful and mocking. "You can't run from me, little ones." Her breath swept them up like leaves in a storm, swallowing them whole as she tilted her head back and inhaled deeply. Her throat moved as she swallowed, a delighted hum escaping her lips. "Mmm, you even taste small."
Her enormous chest, barely contained by her uniform, pressed against the ground as she bent forward, flattening entire sections of the city under its weight. The impact sent tremors through the earth, causing more buildings to collapse, their foundations giving way under the strain. Dust and debris filled the air, creating a hazy cloud that obscured the city's remaining structures.
From behind her, Agent 100's frustration boiled over. "10," she called out sharply, her voice firm. "That's enough."
Agent 10 turned her head slightly, her ponytails swaying as she glanced back with a pout. "Oh, come on, 100," she said, straightening up slightly. "Don't be such a bore. They brought this on themselves. I'm just following orders... in my own way." She winked before turning her attention back to the city, raising her hand to sweep it across another section of buildings.
Before Agent 100 could respond, a sharp tone buzzed in her earpiece. She raised a hand to touch it, her expression hardening as she listened to the incoming message. The voice on the other end was calm and authoritative, but the words it delivered made her heart race and her face heat up.
"Agent 100, the Confederation has issued an additional directive regarding your immediate presence and appearance. Stand by for further orders," the voice said.
Agent 100's cheeks flushed a deep red, and she instinctively glanced away from Agent 10, who was still too engrossed in her "fun" to notice the reaction. She clenched her jaw, her embarrassment mixing with her irritation.
"Damn them," she muttered under her breath, her hands curling into fists as the blush deepened across her face. She hated how easily the Confederation could get under her skin, issuing orders with no regard for the chaos they caused. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, but the heat in her cheeks refused to subside.
Agent 10, oblivious to her turmoil, continued her gleeful destruction, her laughter echoing through the broken city. For Agent 100, the moment was a bitter reminder of the power dynamics at play—both on the battlefield and within the Confederation itself. And as she stood there, the city crumbling before her, she couldn't help but feel the weight of their mission pressing down harder than ever.
