We understand his reasoning (to save the only family he's got left), we understand that he's just a kid, we understand that he can't trust Rapunzel because she broke her promise to him, so we can't be fully mad at him. He's still a smol bean, but now he's a desperate smol bean. If anything, it makes him complex and relatable, and honestly, it makes us love and appreciate him as a character even more. Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed the reaction as always, and I can't wait for you to react to the finale! π (Also, I'm absolutely loving your shirt π)

I think we all feel for Varian, of course you cannot condone his actions but we all see where he is coming from and how desperate and betrayed he feels. One thing I cannot help but notice during this part: He is acting completely unlike his usual self (science-stuff aside). We do know him as this brilliant but awkward, goofy, kinda clumsy boy. There is nothing goofy or clumsy about him here. At all. He is acting way more calculated and guarded the entire time and even managed to manipulate Rapunzel into helping him steal the flower, pretending to care about the safety of the kingdom to get what he wants. Next up is the finale. We will definitely see more of him. Also unrelated, it is never to early or too late for rainbow hair!

2025-05-20 18:10:03 +0000 UTCHonestly I see both sides Varian needs an adult but all the adults around him can't do anything to help or aren't helping him even though baby boy needs an adult more than anything right now and Rapunzel should've gone back to check on Varian right after she saved her kingdom, but she needed to save her kingdom first despite her promise to him. It's such a slippery slope this show, but that is just one of the many reasons why I love it. And one day I hope to explain more on why I love the slippery slope seen in this show.
