We got a mutant with zero alien interference?! And we almost lost Martha! In this video I'm reacting to the episodes"The Lazarus Experiment" and "42"

I think part of Martha wanted to be a doctor too though. I don't think it was all her mother.

Lazarus: 4:44, "Hello. I'm sorry. Did he say he was gonna change what it means to be human?" Aaand he's back😁 6:14. David looking dapper in that suit. And your face Morgan😲😃. #Real😁 14:30, "I will be so mad, if they make something like this in real life. Because I already know, it's gonna be used on people that I hate the most. The people who I'm waiting to 💀, so I can, like, bring out the champagne and the confetti, and like a custom cake, and party, like it's, the end of WW2." Couldn't have said it better myself, Morgan. I'm waiting till the day, the announcement, of a certain US president dies, to celebrate like I've got nothing to lose😝🍾🥂🎂 23:00, "You see how I feel nothing for this man? You see the lacks of f*cks on this face." Well, mine is more of a creepy smile. I'm almost enjoying watching him suffer. 38:31. I wanna say, Martha's mum, pushed/pressured her to become someone successful. And becoming a doctor is seen as one of the highest statuses one could get in society. 42: 58:45, "42 minutes until we crash in the sun." Yikes😬. I had forgotten what "42" meant. Okay, here we go. 1:23:40, "INTO THE SUN?!" Terrifying, I know! 1:36:08, "THAT SUN IS ALIVE! A LIVING ORGANISM!!" Say whaaaaat👀? Last edit: Well, that reaction took me a while to finish, hehehe😅. It was fun tho. Can't wait to see the next one. See ya✌🏼😉

i somehow missed you started doctor who. i got alot to catch up on

Elisa H.

I think Steven Moffat wrote that one. That ending is just... WHY? It was scary as it is, why did you put IRL pictures in there.

It is indeed the one outside of the two parter. I can no longer walk past statues with stone eyes without being filled with a sense of dread. I was about 14 ish when I watched for the first time. And I haven’t watched through since then (almost 19 now). So this will not be fun lol

ShadowDust

I only know about the hints being there, because I rewatch it from time to time. (Watching reactions)

LikeCat

If its not the two parter than... I get why. And I watched DW when I was older, 16-ish. (Around the time of 13, ironically I had not started with 13, but had the same dilemma as Morgan did and started with 9)

Have you ever been framed or genuine if you have a birthday tomorrow or no, that's celebrated, but there's some blessed yourself. You and yourself forced to die

Chance

Wow, really? I never noticed! I know the payoff for the Easter egg of course but I never once noticed it sprinkled in before. Fascinating

ShadowDust

Yeah the last three episodes of this season are all together, meaning Morgan needs to go either one episode and two, then three, or three lots of two which I wouldn’t reccomend. Regardless what I’m saying is that one of the episodes in the next three I’m so nervous for because it has terrified me for life lol

ShadowDust

The last three episodes ARE the three parter (the finale). I would not want to be in Morgan's shoes having to stop after the first part... Given how it ended.

LikeCat

About the next two parter, I receantly learnt who plays a certain ,,Son" in said episodes. Who he will voice later down the line on a different show... That one fact alone just skyrocketed my love for these ones, I already loved it. (I don't know if you know Morgan that is why I try to be vague about it)

LikeCat

Not the highlights of the season, but 42 was decent at least. Highlights include "NO! DON'T GOOGLE!!!" (lol) and seeing you react to Martha's mom. Keep up the good work! :) Loving this series.

Tintros

I think the three parter was last video actually. There are exactly six episodes for this season left, which means three more reactions for this season. 2 per reaction. At least that's my guess.

NatMcK7

Morgan I can't believe you haven't noticed that this is actually the first time Mark Gatiss (Lazarus) and David Tennant have done a scene in a church together. Second time is Good Omens when Crowley saves Aziraphale from the Nazis Lazarus creeps me out so much I agree with everything you said literally. If anything, the 42 episode is so stressful for me like I know what happens I know they'll be okay but my anxiety is through the roof during this one Loved your reactions! Can't wait to see your Family of Blood reaction (I can say this since you've let us know you reacted to that two parter already) Rest of the season are bangers imo

NatMcK7

For me 42 is abit like satans pit 2.0

The Baker's Ruview

I can see how that would be nightmare fuel

Morgan Reacts

Professor Lazarus used to terrify me as a kid growing up. I used to think he was outside my bedroom crawling around the hallway and going to break into my room lol.

The Baker's Ruview

The Lazarus Experiment - I'm inferring from what you said at the beginning, but it sounded like your only familiarity with Lazarus is Good Omens when they pull off a "25 Lazarii miracle"? Lazarus was a person in the bible that Jesus brought back from the dead and his name became shorthand for resurrection. In Good Omens they measure miracles in the amount of divine energy it would take to bring back a person from the dead. - You've never had nibbles :p? Or elevenses? Or a spot of tea? - For me the biggest issue with immortality is that you would have a frozen ruling class. As insulated as it is, at least new generations will join their ranks and bring the generational and cultural drift with them. Can you imagine a world where the Boomers were in charge for all eternity? - The most common critique of this episode is that it's "Doctor Who vs a Playstation 2 monster". I personally love the monster design that was popular during the time of the PS2. Resident Evil, Extermination, Parasite Eve, ObsCure... - Overbearing controlling parents are my bugbear. Can't stand them, and I find it diminishes strong characters like Martha who the writers force to meekly go along with them "because they're family." - "Really shouldn't take that long just to reverse the polarity, I must be a bit out of practice." - there's a running gag throughout all 50 years of Who that the go-to technobabble solution is "Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow". You'll hear it come up time and again. - "Harold Saxon" is the new background mystery hook, like "Bad Wolf" or "Torchwood" . There's been a mention of his name in most of the episodes since the Xmas special. Oh no, you're Googling. Stop! The spoilers! 42 - 42 isn't just the time to impact. It's a very famous sci-fi reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where the "ultimate answer to the ultimate question" is 42, which ties in with Martha having to answer all these questions to unlock the doors :). - You might have picked up on it, but "deadlock seal" has come up before and will do so in the future. It's Who technobabble that means that access or interference is impossible, especially for the sonic screwdriver. - All the door controls have this cool 10-sided keyboard on them. Missing the letters Q, X and Z on them though. - Yeah, these two episodes are seen as serviceable but not memorable. And I have a suspicion spaceships and futuristic science labs aren't your preferred choice.

Your right about these episodes not being the best, I have rewatch Dr who a lot and I straight up forgot that 42 existed and only remembered Laxerus for the janky special effects. BUT FRET NOT! the next two episodes are good and the last 4 of this season are phenomenal.

Oscar Rich

You are correct that Harold Saxon is the new background mystery hook like "Bad Wolf" and "Torchwood" were. For a spoiler-free refresher: - In Love & Monsters a newspaper has the headline "Saxon leads polls with 64%". - In The Runaway Bride it's "orders from Mr Saxon" for the tanks to open fire on the webship. - In Smith and Jones there's a poster in the background that says "Vote Saxon", and at the end in a TV interview Martha's colleague says "It all just proves Mister Saxon right. We're not alone in the universe. There's life out there. Wild and extraordinary life." - Then in Lazarus there's the reveal that he's funding/helping with the experiments and has knowledge of the Doctor.

temp89

I’m guessing next video is a three parter to make for the final three episodes, and I’m so nervous lol. Because one of those episodes has scarred me for life. It’s not even that bad it just terrifies me. It’ll be nice to have you here to watch with me Morgan xD

ShadowDust

I don't actually know what that word you said "lazarii" is referring to, I'm assuming that's maybe a part of Good Omens I havn't gotten to because, one of the stories of the miracles of Jesus is him resurrecting a guy named Lazarus who had been dead for four days, the name gets used in lots of things, like in Batman stories there are these Lazarus Pits that raise the dead

Verdigree

You listing of all the negatives of immortality after Lazarus became young.... The only thing I could thing about was ,,Miracle Day". Oh how right you are.
