To be exact the dnd rule book states a arch druids longevity for every ten years that passes u age 1 so her age lengh went from 180 to 1800 thats longer than full blooded elves who tend live up to 750 years but reach old age around 350 after that its 4 d100 roles to define how much longer lives So elves can die of old age anywhwre between 351-750 A full elf arch druid can live 7500 years Druids are rediculess when comes to aging the fact its a class ability to slow aging is pretty cool and weird

It really felt like you would hear a random fantasy name and not realize it's important when for fantasy veterans know that when they talk about a random dead guy who wore holy armor you pay attention. Again nothing about you. Every genre has that. Harry potter holds your hand for that stuff.

2024-10-05 16:46:26 +0000 UTCIt could have been that honestly. I never really watched much fantasy stuff growing up. Most fantasy thing I watched was probably Harry Potter. It definitely took some getting used to and I also think season 2 made the characters grow on me. Doing the rewatch of season 1 made me enjoy them more than I did originally.

By completing her quest, she’ll become an Archdruid, and among other things that drastically slows down her aging. She’s already a half-elf, who live to be around 180. Becoming an archdruid will mean that the rest of Vox Machina will be dead before she even gets visibly older.

2024-10-05 16:02:44 +0000 UTCI think it's clear on your first watch that you don't consume fantasy epics a lot. Which is not a bad thing. People like what they like. But Legend of Vox Machina uses tropes like fetch quests, macguffins, typical concept of gods and demons and magic to both short cut character development and to subvert them. For someone who is not used to that style of fiction like lord of the rings or Percy Jackson or final fantasy it can be weird. Or I'm totally off and you have done those and it just didn't click for other reasons.
