demon quest overview chapter 1

Demon quest overview:

General: main character “the monk” is given a curse where he must satisfy any woman who asks him, but most just ask for him to do chores.

The other main character a drow female has hired him as a bodyguard as she “searches for family airlooms” but she is really searching for powerful magical artifacts to help her people fight off a demon invasion. She does not tell him this because there are spies everywhere.

Chapter 1: the rescue

The monk is carrying the drow woman on a large backpack of random junk, looking like he is about to fall over. They hear screams and shouts down a small vally and see a bunch of goblins and lizard men attacking a caravan. The drow asks the monk to help and he launches himself down to fight off the attackers. Easily defeating them but not killing them. The drow looks a bit concerned and the leader of the caravan demands to know why the monk did not kill the attacker. The monk explains he does not kill, but the caravan leader stabs one of the unconscious attackers before the monk can stop him. After an argument the monk ties up all the minions and pulls the broken caravan to the nearest town. The drow is concerened because she has been trying to gauge how strong the monk is and his character.

At the town the monk hands over the attackers and he with the drow head over to a tavern run by a lady dwarf. The monk flirts with her “badly” and the drow whispers into the dwarfs ear. Next we see the monk fixing things on the roof while the dwarf tells him to go do more chores after he fixes the roof. Meanwhile inside the tavern the drow is shown to a back room where another big busty drow woman is sitting. They discuss their quest to find powerful magical items to fuel a spell that will defeat the demon queen who enslaves their civilization. The busty one asks about the monk if he could be a useful tool but the drow says no because of his moral compass even though he seems to be strong enough. They then discuss his curse and the busty drow asks if the other has taken advantage of it, for which the main drow declines. The busty one then asks if she can “have him” but the main drow says she will need him to keep being her body guard for a while yet as she will have to travel to dangerous lands.

The chapter ends with the monk and main drow leaving the village and all the extra stuff he was carrying behind with the main drow explaining that was just supplies she owed the tavern keeper.
