Lately we’ve been in a “let’s just go anywhere we can get to!” mood, hopping around inside and outside Japan while working—and this week we went to Vietnam.
When there’s a 20°C temperature difference, that alone is exciting.
I’d been a little curious ever since seeing Vietnam’s pavilion at Expo 2025, and it turned out to be a really fascinating place in person.

At first I thought the combination of insane traffic volume plus… let’s say “loose” traffic rules meant I’d run out of lives in no time, but you actually do get used to it.
I also took Achu-san to some pretty stimulating spots. The atmosphere was the kind of thing you really can’t capture properly in photos, but just as I’d hoped, it seems to have fired up Achu-san’s imagination quite a bit.

I’m sure those experiences will show up in our future works!
All I’ll say for now is this: the ao dai is dangerously sexy.

It really was wonderful. Even as a Japanese person, I was surprised at how authentic some of the shops felt—like they could have been lifted straight from Japan (they might even be Japanese-owned). And, well… it also reminded me that the stereotype of “Japanese = pervy” seems to be pretty widely shared, haha. I’m not exactly going to deny it, though!
