Hi, This is muchi.

This weekend, the downtown area near my home is packed with cosplayers.

That’s right—World Cosplay Summit is happening!

This year, our city has a new mayor, and I couldn't help but notice that his cosplay was a bit more stylish than his predecessor’s. Gotta give him credit! 🤭

But of course… Japan had to hit us with a brutal heatwave right during the event. (I feel like I say this every year…)

Even though the venues are mostly in underground malls and air-conditioned shopping arcades, I truly admire the dedication of the cosplayers—especially those wearing heavy, elaborate outfits in this kind of weather. Seriously, mad respect!

For everyone who came all the way to Japan for this—I really wish the weather were a little more forgiving!
