October Wave 1: 1/35th Panther parts

Release day is Monday 9th. +- 10pm GMT+1.

Engine Deck parts for Panther Ausf. D Jan / Feb '43 production.

These parts allow you to build very early Panther Ausf. D. I have included:

  • Initial Radiator Covers left and right; Based on 3d scans taken from Breda's Panther Ausf. D. The first batches of Panthers had no grills on those.
  • Initial Air Intake cover with grills. The louvers on these were straight like Panther prototype V1 and V2 had them. It's debateable but I'd use these for January production 1st batch Panthers. Version without grill is included too.
  • Standard Air Intake Cover. With and without grills. 3d scanned accuracy.
  • Schnorchel Flange without grill. The first Panthers had the Schnorchel port shut. Important detail for your Jan/Feb. Panther.
  • Early Air Intake Cover for the engine hatch. The first 250 Panthers were build with the weaker HL 210 engine, as far I can tell those covers went together with it.
  • True-scale lifiting hooks for engine deck. These are universal.
  • True-scale hatch stop. It is universal as well.

All files are pre-supported via a Lychee Secene file. You can easily costumize it to fit your needs without having to start from skratch. Blank files are included as well.

Initial style running grear

In the early days of the Panther the running gear was a mess! There were lots of differnt bolt patterns on both wheels and drive sprocket. On top some bolts used retainers some didn't...

With this release I deal with the first iteration of series production vehicles: 16 bolts, no retainers for the road wheels and 16 bolts for the drive sprocket, no retainers. In the next wave I'll include more variants with different retainer arragements.

A Lychee slicer scene file is included.

Last but not least I've included a re-issue of my scan based early Panther tracks with initial pins.

Compatibility?

I used for my builds Meng's Panther D. It is together with Tamiya and Zvezda the only kits allowing for an early production vehicles. The designs are as close to true scale as possible with current mid-tier printing tech and will fit with minimal work..
You can easly fit the parts to other brands as well. If there is a need for another brand, I'll include them in the next wave.

Next wave?

For October and November's projects a lot of parts are needed. I won't manage to put them out in one big release.

Further I want to build along designing the parts needed.

The next wave is scheduled towards end of October. I keep you posted on the progress via facebook and instagram.

I hope this first wave does already meet your expectations,
Thank you very much!

September Preview: Scan based Panther Tracks in 1/35th

This month I finally got the Panther tracks as a scan based version for you. (Panther II not included, that is a previous release.)

In Total 3 different track pins, 5 different track links and 2 versions of Mittelstollen.

Let's have a look at one of the sub-variants: the intermediate pattern.

Accurate cast markings. All features are present like recessed areas and pockets.

All faces (Surfaces) have organic transitions.

Highly detailed guide horns! Geometry featrues are present even in hidden areas!

3d scan based!

The core geomentry is derived from multiple 3d scanned track links to ensure a accurate representation of the original. The render shows only 2 sets of 3 links. I worked with 8 differnt linkes scanned from multiple vehicles!

This is not just an altered version of my 2020/2021 design; It's a fresh design from the ground up. (LHS new; RHS old)

I hope this realse does fit your needs and matches your expectations.
Thank you very much for your support.

June's 1/35th scale STL Preview

What’s included in June’s stl Package?

500mm Tiger (P) track.

This track type was used only on the concept vehicle presented to “a person I won’t name” in April ’42. So far the vehicle can be build by converting some features from Ilateri’s or Amusing Hobby Tiger P. (Designed using factory drawings)

Panzer I Ausf. F track

This vehicle is currently available in two Versions by HobbyBoss and one by Ark Model. Both brands are in need of replacement tracks. Here they are! (Designed based on collector data)

Panzer III / IV Type 1 Family.

This is the Type 1 with the pre-war specific Panzer III guide horn. I’ve not yet released this Version on patreon previously. It comes with cast markings – at least the part I was able to identify. They are made to fit bot Bronco and Miniart. Using Panzer Tracs 3-1 it can be seen on Panzer III A-D including Ausf. D/B. Ausf. D1 I’ve seen using both: These and the standard pattern.

Type 1 short Guidehorn.

This variant was used on early Panzer IV Ausf.A-C.
This is a re-release, coming with a facelift: I’ve added cast markings and updated the track pins.

Type 1 standard pattern:

this variant was used on the Panzer III Ausf. E-G and their variants including StuG 0-Series and both Ausf. A. For the Panzer IV it’s Ausf. D to E. This variant is compatible with the ones above, often times you can see them mixed together.
This is a re-release coming with a facelift: I’ve added cast markings and updated the track pins.

Type 1 with Schneegreifer.

Another world’s first release in 1/35th! Schneegreifer (Snow Gripper) are two-piece addons screwed together over the grocer bar of a Type 1 track link. They greatly improve traction on iced over surfaces. However, they were not issued widely and are only rarely documented.  I chose to deliver them fused to a Standard Pattern Type 1 track because it would be too delicate to print them as stand-alone items. I’d recommend do spread them out, maybe irregular every 3 to 4 links.

Type 6 Winterketten Family:

Type 6 Winterketten with ice cleats:

This is an unaltered re-release for Jan. ’23 added to keep the family together.

Type 6 Winterketten without ice cleats:

This subvariant was produced without chevrons on the grocer bar. I’ve not yet released this variant previously.

Irregular content explained!

I had extensive repairs to my printers earlier in May and spare part delivery was delayed.
This threw my production plan off for June forcing me to switch to pre-prepared content instead.
I hope this release still does meet your demand. The problems are fixed and next month I continue with the roadmap and have a preview up in time.

May STL preview

This is what is included in May' STL Package:

All tracks do come as blank and pre-supported version. (Supports are CAD designed).

All links were propperly tested using the most relevant kit brands. Tiger family was tested with RFM, Dragon and Tamiya (+RevoSys for the VK36). Tiger P tracks do fit Italeri, Zvezda, Dragon and Amusing Hobby (Das Werk). R-35 were tested to fit Hobby Boss.

You have 3 options to assemble the links:

  • Pins given in half length to perserve all detail when needed. This should be your first choice.
  • Wire you can use 0.3 to 0.4mm diameter wire. The Wire Version is shaped in a way that makes guiding the wire in is super easy. On side of the link retains the track pin features. (Not available for R35).
  • Click system. It does not require any pins or wire, just click the links together. This is a experimental feature and should be used with care. How well it works highly depends on your resin and settings.)

For individual show cases (if avaiable), click the "May 2023" tag below.

(June preview will be available soon, was made aware it's hard to get an idea of what's actuially included...)

End-of-Q1-Update and April Hotfix#2 is rolling out (Change log)

This is a scheduled maintenance update to previous released contents in Q1 '23.
All of my designs are covered by updates for at least one year after release. This is necessary to ensure your feedback is taken into account and further developments/innovations of the overlaying track family are rolled out to previously released designs as well. I want you to have the best quality possible.

Roll-out has started, all active members get notified via direct message upon completion (links included). Previous members, check your bookmarks as instructed. This will take 24h to a week (<- safety margin) from now.

This change log is reflected in the next scheduled catalog update, catalog will be posted together with the May release. (Initial catalog release is linked in the last paragraph).

  • new Renders (pictures) added

January '23 scheduled update:

  • no changes, no updates pending

November '22 backlog clearing:

  • Initial release.
  • new Renders (pictures) added

All exports were done with "high refinement" settings, making sure you get the best possible geometry approximation. (CAD knows true circles, "STL" only knows triangles...).

I'm curating 63 1/35th scale German WW2 track patterns, growing rapidly atm. This is more than any brand has ever released within in this category. It does translate into roughly 750 STLs and over 250 CAD files I'm currently keeping track of - pun intended. Compiling this update took over 20h in design work and 39 test prints in addition to developing new content. This is only possible due to your ongoing support for this channel.

Thank you very much.

Renault R35 - May '23 Standard-Tier exclusive slot 2/2

The 2nd slot of my "Rework & Reissue" release I have tracks for the R-35 chassis by Renault for you.

I have cleaned up all small surface transitions without changing any of the core geometry.

Supports have been cleaned up as well and pins got a small overhaul, now pre-supported in "heads up" orientation.
This track link is very small therefore, I stayed with resin pins as the only hinge mechanism.

This is part of May 2023's STL content, available to all Standard Tier members as well as to still-active Nov.'21 Early-Birds. In order to see what else is included in May, click the "May 2023" tag below. May release date is one week later due to holiday: 8th May. The Standard Tier has access to up to 4 tracks per month: 2 are newly designed + 2 are reworked and re-issued previous releases (2021 and 2022).

VK 36.01 (H) workable tracks - May '23 Standard-Tier exclusive slot 1b/2

The VK36.01 also known as "VK Sport" was one of the pathfinders leadings into the Tiger Tank. Only one chassis was produced, without a turret ever being finished. Half empty, light weight, yet with a powerful Maybach engine the vehicle was used for VIP's entertainment during the Tiger's trail and testing.

This track is a predecessor of the Tiger I's transport track. It features a forward extended profile on the part making contact with the road -> Guys, if you know the English term, comment down below - in German it's the Griffleiste.
Interesting enough, the transport track itself is the predecessor for the combat track.

There are no drawings or measurements known for this track variant, it's rather safe to assume it would have had a mostly identical core geometry as the transport tracks has (at least in 1/35).

Fit was tested with Revosys/RFM.

This is a rework based on my updated and updetailed Tiger 1 class tracks.

I hand these out together with the transport track as one slot. The differences between both are minor and the design process was streamlined. To me the count as 2 variants of the same track type.

Tiger I Transport Tracks - May '23 Standard-Tier exclusive slot 1a/2

This is the transport Track for the Tiger I. Interessting, it is in its core almost identical to the combat track. The combat track being a extended version of this one. The transport track is bout 1cm less in height compared with the combat variant.

I've tested the fit with Dragon and RFM - should fit all modern toolings.

My first iteration of this track was done in May '21 in a simplifyed manner. This one is a new design based on my new combat track core geomentry. Printing technology has moved on in the past two years, this one is now up to date (8k safe).

I hand these out together with the VK 36.01 track as one slot. The differences between both are minor and the design process was streamlined. To me the count as 2 variants of the same track type.

Tiger I late track - Mai '23 Standard-Tier & Early-Bird slot 1of2

The late Tiger are at least in 1/35th almost identical to the early track. In reality there is weight difference of a few kg. Unfortunatly this does not translate into any visual differences aside from the ice cleats or chevrons in 1/35th scale.

Fit was tested with RFM, Dragon and Tamiya. It should fit all modern toolings.

The late type was produced from January '44 on and would be used on all Tiger I chassis including the Sturmtiger variant.

This a new design, part of May 2023's STL content, available to Standard-Tier and Early-Bird members. In order to see what else is included in May, click the "May 2023" tag below, new previews are rolling out almost every weekend. May release date is one week later due to holiday: 8th May. Tiger I early & mirrored track Kgs 63/725/130 April '23 showcase

These are the tracks for the Tiger I - V1, Initial and Early.

You can build the early and mirrored pattern from this release (mirrored link included).

The design is based on the core I designed together with Adam Mann two years ago, now supplemented with 3d scans of both ends. (Well, the central section doesn't have enough features for the scanner to bite, the tank sitting on top of it didn't help either...) Simplifications are down to the absolute minimum and all surface transitions have been redone for good.

From what I've seen on renders of "the competition", this here is 2nd to none.

All in all, this is my last iteration of design for this track type and its variants. The detail level is higher than what 8k printers can resolve and what goes beyond in future won't translate into anything visible in 1/35th scale...

Pins are half length: pre-supported, blank and as pattern. (I'll add full length pins for display as spare tracks with subsequent releases.

Click-System has to be seen as experimental, there are too many influences like resin, exposure settings and post processing, I can't possibly account for.

Both Pin- and Wire-System have chamfered sleeves, guiding the pin or wire through the joint and holding the segments without much wobble. Further: the pin does lock into place, reducing the chance of loosing them.

Don't re-scale them, 1/16 and 1/48 stand alone versions are available later.

These are available to Early-Bird and Standard Tier in April '23 (Release date: Monday, 3rd of April, ~10pm CET)

I hope I was able to meet your expectations.
Kind regards,
Kai

Special Thanks to Adam Mann for providing data and support throughout the years!

April Showcase: Hammerit, the tool for assembling tracks quickly!

Sick of dialing in your exposure settings?
Pins won't fully seat no matter what you try?
Got the dexterity to compensate your short fuse?

I got something for you!

I’m very proud to present Hammerit – the worlds first tool allowing rapid assembly of a full track run without having to deal with exposure calibration or special resins.

No cost was evaded to develop the future of resin pin, single link, tracks for 1/35th scale and below:

Hammerit does fit all standard pattern small hammers, larger ones will fit too. (Just give them a lick with a wire brush…)

How does it work?

1st The specially formed cone does allow you to pick up your resin pin right from the print bed.

2nd make sure you firmly secure the hinge of your track links with two fingers.

3rd with the pin firmly attached to the Hammerit extension, eyeball for the pin hole and give it a firm swing.

4th be done with your scale modelling session in no time!

STLs available to Patreon only on 1st of April ; )

Test it now, thank me later ; )

Elefant Tracks - April 2023

This track type is the last iteration for the Ferdinad / Elefant chassis. This track type was issued to all vehicles during their factory refit in late '43, early '44. As a rule of thumb: whenever Zimmerit was present, use this type of track for your Elefant, Bergetiger or the Command-Tiger P "003".
There is one further use: A single Jagdtiger, used for R&D was fitted with these as well, even though - not for long, you'd need a special sprocket in order to built this. Something we can look at at a later date.

As per usual, factory drawings were used to design these. My first iteration I pubished in October '21, here we have a rework & reissue. I cleaned up the geomentry, added detail relevant for 8k printing and beyond. Click- and wire hinges are now available as options as well.

STLs are available for Standard-Tier members as well as still-active October '21 backers.

Ferdinand - late Pattern April '23

This is the late pattern track for the Ferdinand tank hunter.
It's different to the mid-pattern due to the curved link is now present with guide horn as well.

Renember, these track patterns were introduced very early into the service life of a Ferdinand, therefore, early-mid-late are more related to a modeler's mindset than to reality of tank production and supply.

Do not use this track type when Zimmerit is present! Use the Elefant track instead!

This design is based on factory drawings and carefull examination of photographs from the s.Pz.Jg.Rg 656 (former s.Pz.Jg.Abt 653) towards end of '43.

Designer's note: In March I've released the mid-pattern, the link with guide horn came up to me after March's content was already locked. I don't want early-bird members to miss out on this new-to-us variant, therefore it takes the "minor" slot within the section of April's release for both early-bird and standard tier members.

VK 30.01 tracks - March '23 Showcase

Currently there are 3 kits available using this track type: Trumpeter's Sturer Emil and VK 30.01 H as well as the VK 30.01 P by HobbyBoss.

The designs are based on Porsche's factory drawings, unfortunatly Hobby Boss diverted from the 500mm track width making a stand-alone version nessesary.

Some of the links surviced at Kubnika on the Sturer Emil as well as within the hands of private collectors. I chose to go with the factory drawings and match some of manufactureing related features close to what is visible at Kubinka.

Available to Standard and Early-Bird STL tier members during March '23

E-100 track - March 2023 Showcase

These are track links for the E-100 "series" of vehicles.

It's a new design tested to fit with Trumpeter's model kit range. Each track segment is made from one large bridge link and 3 small connection links. Therefore it was not possible for me to make relaiable wire and click-system hinges without subjecting you guys to a dog-chasing-its-tail experience while trying to assemble them. Therefore, half-length pins is what I settled with.

The orginal track did not survive UK's hunger for steel post-war, no technical drawings are known to have survived either. The design is based on the hand-full of photographs showing a segmented run curled up and ready for transport to the UK. I captured as much detail as was visible.

STLs are available to Standard-Tier and Early bird members during March '23.

Side Note: Trumpeter kits - I noticed the spare track hangers are spaced out incorrectly by trumpeter, not even fitting the kit's tracks. Be careful when assembling yours.

March '23 Showcase: VK45.01(P) / Tiger (P) R&D Tracks

This is the major or common type of tracks used during development of the Tiger (P). There was an initial design as well, requireing us to use different idler and drive sprockets (Scheduled for Q2 '23).

This package does build two patterns: At first the Tiger (P) was equipt with single type track links all around, each one having a guide horn.

It turned out to be less than ideal and therefore the guide horn was cut away on every other link. I agree on this being a lesser track pattern, nevertheless if you want to capture one more detail in your build, now you can.

As further development a new track link without guide horn was introduced later. The link with guide horn was used throughout the production of the Ferdinand, eventually being replaced with a later iteration.

The design is based on factory drawings by Porsche, I reworked my inital release from March '21 adding aditional detail that can be observed on the Ferdinand tank destroyer preserved in Moscow / Kubinka or was omitted at first release due to low resolution printers back than and shifted some geometry around to make up for the differences in drawings vs production.
This design is now future proof. Further I reworked the wiggling room between links for best 1/35th scale fit and introduced fully detailed half-length track pins - now with retainer rings - as well as wire hinge and click-system varinat for you to choose from.

I tested the fit on Dragon, Zwezda, Italeri and Amusing Hobby / Das Werk.

The files are available to Standard-Tier STL-Level patrons in October '23 and to those who are still active from back in October 2021 (now early bird).

March '23 Showcase: Ferdinand mid-pattern tracks

This track pattern sees the introduction of a new secoundary link without guide horn. It's in its shape already very similar to the Elefant track pattern but still uses the early-style geometry at its core.

Use these for your post-Kursk Ferdinand builds and for the Bergetiger (P) while it was still at the factory's proofing ground. Do not use it if Zimmerit is present... This track pattern was already present on some vehicles pre-kursk, making "mid" more or less meaningless..

The design is based on factory drawings by Porsche and adjusted for the best possible fit in 1/35th scale. It is a rework of my October '21 release aimed towards future-proofing and updetailing.

Available to Standard-Tier Members in March '23 as well as still-active October '21 backers.

March '23 Showcase: Ferdinand early pattern

This is one of 3 track patterns we can observe on the Ferdinand and some of its Variants as well as the Tiger P during Training with s.Pz.503. Its main feature is a newly produced link without guide horn. The link with guide horn is still the same used for the R&D patterns. While this is the earliest Pattern for the Ferdinand, the mid and late type are indtruduced very fluend and early! More about this in the related showcases.

Use this track pattern for your early Ferdinand build up until Kursk. Early s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 654 or the "Bandauslauf" (last Ferdinand to leave the factory).
It would also be a safe bet for the Rammtiger, that never existed.
Tiger P - it can used for the troup training vehicle.
Don't use it for Bergetiger (P).

The link without guide horn can further be used to make the R&D track pattern 1.

Most of the links preserved on the Ferdinand in Moscow/ Kubnika are of this pattern, with a few later ones mixed in.

The design is based on factory drawings by Porsche and adjusted for the best possible fit in 1/35th scale. It is a rework of my October '21 release aimed towards future-proofing and updetailing.

Available to Standard-Tier Members in March '23 as well as still-active October '21 backers.

E-100 workable tracks (Standard and Early-bird STL Tier)

New desgin for the E-100! No data about real track survived to my knowlage aside from snap shot style photos. I've matched its features the best I can. Comes with Pin hinge olny, wire and click didn't work; All files are given as blank and pre-supported;

VK30.01(H) / Sturer Emil and VK30.01(P) (Standard and Early-bird STL Tier)

Designed based on factory drawings. One almost full run survived together with the Sturer Emil displayed at Kubnika. Even though VK30.01 H and P have the same nominal pitch, Trumpeter and Hobby Boss are not interchangeable. I've added a version for each brand. Comes with Pin, wire and click hinge; All files are given as blank and pre-supported; Pin come with addtional pattern of 20, head-up and head-down configuration.(22 files)

VK45.01 (P) / Ferdinand Tracks and its Variants! (Standard Tier and still-active Oct. '21 backers only)

This is a revisit of my previous release. It is based on factory drawings, therefore not a lot changed. Added the new hinge mechanisms and cleaned up the design where needed; Reworked the wiggle room in the hinge mechaninsm, there is no need for the "high-clearance" version anymore.  (34 files)

  • You can use a full run of guide horn only links to display your VK45.01(P) for the early configuration.
  • VK45.01 (P) w. cut-off guide horns.
This is a minor new variant, during R&D every 2nd guide horn was cut away. Later a link without GH was produced.
  • VK45.01 (P) Training vehicle / Rammtiger / initial batch Ferdinand
Have close look at the Ferdinad at Kubinka. It has early version of links without guide horns mixed with later ones, this can be observed on many vehicles of the s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 654's initial batch Ferdiand. This is what the Rammtiger would have had mounted (personal opinion.)
  • Ferdinand Standard pattern / early Recovery Tiger config.
The link with guide horn stays the same as above. The one without has changed again. Use these for all Abt. 653 Ferdinand and the earliest configuration of the Bergetiger (P). When in doubt, this track type is your best bet for vehicles prior to Zimmerit.

Comes with Pin, wire and click hinge; All files are given as blank and pre-supported; Pin come with addtional pattern of 20, head-up and head-down configuration.

Organizational information:

How to fill your print bed rapidly and find print settings

I get asked how to go about this more frequently. This is a short instructional video about how you can use your slicer to pattern my tack links and some advice on print settings.

Printer: I use two Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k with upgraded Z-arm/axis. My steppers use a decoupler. Further I use a Sonic Mini 8k.
I've installed a Nintendo DS glass screen protector taped down with Kapton tape in order to survive failed FEP sheets during prototyping.

I change resin brands depending on availability and supply. My favorite is Reprapper 203 in grey.

This are my print settings for my sm4k:

Your setting will differ from mine.

A flexible build plate will help your machine to hold the bed level. There is no reason to ever remove the print bed itself, only the plate.

Dial in your exposure well! Track links don't like over- nor under-exposure! The exposure test I used here can be found HERE
Click on "Assets", I use the "ResinXP2-ValidationMatrix_200701.stl"

Wash the parts well! Residue will clog up holes and will add to the diameter of pins. Wire-hinge variants are the most forgiving. I use both an Anycubic Wash-Cure 1 and Version 2. The first is set for pre-cleaning the 2nd is set up for a final cleaning operation. One machine will be enough for a home - environment; Lazy me skips often times the 2nd pass.

I hope this helps you to get successful prints. If further information is needed, let me know!

Thank you very much for everything.

Tiger P - 003 Panzerjäger-Regiment 656 Mai '44

This the only Porsche Tiger (with a turret) used in combat. It's chassis 150 013, a hydraulic Type 102. Only 10 chassis were to be build using the Voith hydraulic drive train, this one was using 2 Simmering motors.
The turret has the serial number 150 014, retrofitted with a escape hatch and built into a command version.
The vehicle was a path-finder stationed at Kummersdorf proofing ground, it was requested by the Rg. 656 (former s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 653) as a recovery vehicle together with the last two Ferdinand retained for R&D. Send out in Mai '44 and lost in the east by end of July.
Several Pictures are known, showing it dusted up, that's what I wanted to catch in the short time available.
A lot stuff about this vehicle is off from what we would expect to find and think we know. That's why it was very interesting to me.

It was a old shelf queen, Dragon 6210, I used a later version of Atak Zimmerit in order to have a escape hatch - Dragon missed that. The build itself was not up to standard, with little I could do about it. Therefore, it went down as a speedy 4-evening project. In future I'll cut down weathering down to a pinwash only. I need space for in the shelf for kits used in designing parts and can't waste time on attempted-only artistic expressions, going for a detailed and clean build instead...
If you want to build one yourself: Dragon #6352 would be the best one. Amusing Hobby 35A051 comes as full interior kit building a electric version, that would be a Type 101 -> that's not what this vehicle was. For tracks I used Friul I had sitting around already rusted. Rear central grill was taken from Amusing Hobby 35A023 - however the orignial mesh is mounted to a frame slightly spaced above the louvre. Dragon's premium kit has this feature displayed.

My main source for this build was Michael Fröhlich, "Der andere Tiger" - I think there is a English version already published or published soon. The work on this vehicle done by Jentz was for sure outstanding and reflecting the knowledge of the time it was written, yet his information is outdated by now and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Video is coming soon.
Till Sunday, release day for the Feb. STLs.

February 2023 Preview: Panzer I and Panther II workable single tracks

New design: Tracks for the Panzer I Ausf. A, Panzer I Ausf. B, their variants and Maultier truck.

Release date is the 5th of February 2023. Warning! The difference between the new standard STL-Tier and the former, (now early-bird), is implemented into preview from here on!

This section is available to both early-bird and standard STL-Tier.

Newly designed Panzer I tracks based on a 3D scanned original this channel does own.

When I started out designing tracks 2 years ago, the Panzer I was a case study, it's the smallest link within the range of German WW2 tracks and therefore the hardest to print. A lot changed since than, with 8k printers taking over and 3D scanning capability for this channel, it is time to start over and design the one we are going to keep.

In order to get the best possible data I bought an original track link, I was lucky to find one with 2 original pins included. I 3D scanned it with latest iteration of 3d scanner available to consumers and redesigned it from ground up.

In total we look at 3 different variants:

Initial Type Panzer I track:

This variant does come with a triangular shaped, open, guide horn. It can be found on various Panzer I Ausf. A vehicles pre- and early-war phases.

Standard Pattern Panzer I track:

The main variant has a bowl shaped closed guide horn. It was used on all Ausf. B and subsequant variants of both Panzer I Ausf. A and B.

The third variant is a variant of the standard pattern, It features additional ice cleats extending from the diagonal bracing. (Render pending due to ongoing testing with main pattern)

Fit testing: I tested them on Dragon, Tristar = Hobby Boss, and Takom as well as Italeri. All four do have a perfect fit. (Picture pending)

Accessories: Gabelstollen

(Render pending due to ongoing printability testing with main pattern)

These are additional ice cleats that mount to diagonal braces on the sides of each track. Gabel does mean fork and releates to the way it attaches to the track link. We Germans can put nouns together to get a more precise new one... Stollen does mean ice cleat. Knowing this you won't ever get confused  with Hammerstollen for the Panzer III/IV and Gabelstollen for Panzer I/II : )

There are variants showing a single or cross blade. I've captured both in my design. These can be printed as standalone version to be added to your diorama or you can use the pre-supported version and fuse them to your track link in your slicer. (Instruction video is provided together with the release).

These Gabelstollen should fit the Panzer II link as well (at least the original does) Nevertheless I've not designed a Panzer II link yet, therefore I can't say for sure if the 1/35 scale variant will fit as well.

Additional Content:
I'm working on a "Panzer I Ausf. A NSKK driving school in 1944" tool layout for my current build and video project. Contents are tba when the video is finished.

Rework and Reissue Section:
This section is available to all standard STL-Tier members. Early-bird backers of the previous release (April '22 Panther II and October '22) will receive these updates as well, a PM with the link is pre-scheduled for those of you who are still active!

Technically this is a variant of the King Tiger's transport track. The part, making contact to the road surface (bridge link) is identical to what we see on the King Tiger. The two secondary links however are more of a snap-shot from the King Tiger's development starting in 1942 - Panther II itself was a concept realized as a chassis only around mid-1943. This type of track survived together with the Panther II chassis and is displayed at Fort Knox.

I did put a good 20 hours into bringing the previous design up to spec. (The work done did include the King Tiger pattern and an new early variant, to be released at a later date). I'd would be too long to list all new features, bottom line they are almost a new desgin and do reflect how the quality and quantity of data grew since the initial release.

To round up this overhaul, I added two more options for joining the links into a track.

New click system! It does allow you to snap the links together without any pins or wire. To be fair, how well this works highly depends on your resin and print settings. It is a mid-thing between non-workable and workable tracks in practical terms. I'd recommend to glue it in place after you're done posing the track. It is not meant as a toy to play around with.

New wire system! Some of you, including myself, do still prefer using a wire instead of track pins. The wire system does improve both guidance of the wire during assembly and printability on older machines. Use wire around 0.35mm diameter, I use copper motor core wire. (AWG 26~28 should be fine.)

Perfect fit! The design is tested for fit with ICM/Revell, Dragon and Amusing Hobby. I've used mainly King Tiger (Jagdtiger) kits to confirm the fit. The Dragon Panther II Kit should be using derived geometry from their old Gunze/Revell molding, and fit as well.

This is my 2nd choice for reissuing tracks this mounth: Panzer III / IV family Type 5. They come with all January 2023 updates: Improved geometry, increased hole diameter for pins, smaller fixes to surface-to-surface transitions.

Pins are now supported heads up in addition to the previous heads-down version. Of course, I implemented the two additional options for joining them together as well: You can use a wire now without losing detail Or print the click-together option.

I hope this release does meet your expectations. Feel free to comment below.
Thank you very much for your support.

January Preview: Pz.Kpfw. III / IV Winterketten and track accessories

Delivery is scheduled for the 5th of January 2023 10pm CET. There is no difference between early-bird and standard STL-Tier this month.

This type of Winterketten was introduced at the same time as the Type 6 Winterketten were, around autumn 1942. Therefore, it seems like no early/late differentiation can be made. I call them Type 3 because they core of this link is a Type 3 B standard link. (Closed guide horn, no indents.)

My design is based on my original Type 3A body and Type 5B guide horn I 3d scanned. The fin was photo-matched, supplemented with data I obtained through a collector.

For assembly the main variant is to use either pin or wire. The click-system is highly dependent on your resin and print settings. Even when well printed, I'd recommend to glue it in place after posing. It's not meant to be workable nor will it survive play-sessions. It's intended to be a speedy shortcut when assembling the vehicle.

*Post release note: Appreantly another version without ice cleats was produced, they might become subject of a future release.

This is another very common type of Winterketten. This time using the Type 6A as a core. While the Type 6 is actually the later core, it's Winterketten variant was made around the same time than the Type 3 based one.

My design is based on my original Type 5B body and guide horn, I 3d scanned for reference. The fin was photo-matched, supplemented with data I obtained through a collector.

Even when well printed, I'd recommend to glue it in place after posing. It's not meant to be workable nor will it survive play-sessions. Winterketten Curiosity?

I anounced this within the roadmap. It turned out to be wartime field-modification/repair of a worn type 3 with new ice cleats welded on. I did include an additional Type 7 Variant instead. Sry guys...

This is another variant of the Type 7, produced with ice cleats. I'd say it's less common compared to the regular Type 7 without ice cleats.

Type 7 was produced from 1944 on, but remains a rather rare Type. The central part of any Type 7 link is a new development, making it not compatible with any other Types of tracks. Nevertheless, it uses the same sprocket as Types 2- 6 do.

This design is based around my scanned Type 5B core. In order to make it work for the Type 7's wider center-front sleeve I went to a museum and measured the differences. (I was very lucky to find a vehicle with a full run of Type 7 tracks). The H-shaped profile was photo-matched. Guide horn is measurement based, not from scan unfortunately.

Panzer III / IV Track accessories

These are compatible with all Type 3 to Type 7 tracks, including Winterketten and Ostketten.

Click here for an instructional video.

Hammerstollen

In German "Stollen" has some differnt meanings: tunnel, a type of pastry or in this case: studs. Hammerstollen are ice cleats or studs with the form of a hammer's head. ..

Up to two Hammerstollen can be mouted to a single track link.

I'd advice against mounting too many Hammerstollen to a single vehicle! In reality we can see them being spread out. Just think about a vehicle with 400 Hammerstollen, each secured by a piece of wire only... Downhill, compacted hard ground, tail wind and an Inn in crew's sight... The vehicle is going ~50km/h, the tracks move twice as fast... ...rapid unscheduled dissasembly of fenders... (...and making future use of a lawn mower along the chosen path a fool's errant...)

I have included an 2 open (no scurity pin) versions (with and without cast markings) to be used as stand-alone accessory to add to your diorama as well as versions with pin.

Pressupported files allowing you to fuse them together in your slicer, compatible with my pre-supported track track link versions. (render pending).

Mittelstollen

You might already know them from my Panther tracks. These are additional studs or ice cleats that can be attached to the center of any type of panzer III / IV track (excluding Type 1, more or less).

I do advice not to over do it, just use a few of them per track lenght.

They ususally snap in place and can be removed again. In front a hook graps the central undercut, in the rear a spring loaded latch tightens against the "Griffleiste". ( That's the reason behind all Panzer III/IV tracks do have at least a window cut into the rear wall.) The underside is mostly identical between early and late type. On a side note, I had to make compromises here in order to make them printable, the wallthickness is significantly thicker compared to a scaled down 1to1 scale design. This here is 1/35th.

I design my versions to be either used as stand-alone for diorama work or to be fused onto my track links using your slicer software.

Mittelstollen (early type)

Mittelstollen (late type)

Main difference, analog to the Panther Mittelstollen, is the carrier plate is enlarged, providing a more stable plattform.

I do hope this release does meet your expectations.
Thank you very much for your support.

Price Changes taking effect.

With the 1st of December I have closed the current stl-tier and merchant-tier, not accepting any new memberships. The current (soon to be former) STL-Tier was renamed into “early bird” – as long as you stay in this tier nothing will change for you. You will still receive the same benefits you did before. As soon as you leave, there is no way back in. *

New memberships are offered for an adjusted price only.

I know it is kind of a steep price increase, it does not come without additional benefits! I get often asked about how to catch up with previous releases: The new Tier therefore does include a re-issue of 2 types of tracks per month in addition to the new releases.

Fingers crossed: In case I manage to finish a build video, all parts I used are re-issued as well in what I call a "YouTube-Package" to all stl-level members...

Merchant-Tier members are given access to new files as soon as they are ready, this will be more relevant during 2023 because I switch to a pre-production schedule instead of just-in-time. For price changes the same true for future merchant tier members - there are more than 30 high-res single link workable tracks in the catalog as of now and more are added rapidly during Q1 and Q2 of 2023.

*(I know some long-term=12months+ supporters are resubscribing each month after getting thrown out by the system. If you find the door locked, contact me in this case, we find a more permanent solution.)

The reason for the price adaption is easy:

The past 2 years we** have upgraded massively and as a result the stuff we are able to create by the end of 2022 is far superior compared to 2 years ago.
December 2020: 3 Patrons; shitty 2k RGB printer; freeware; no tools, just toys.
December 2022: ~80 Patrons; 3D Laser Scanner; fully packed field-research bag; professional Autodesk CAD software + to spec workstation; 4k printers and last but least knowing all museums within reach inside and out: whom to ask and where to find what…
We have come a long way due to your support!

Therefore, on one side I want to give you long-term supporters the benefits of your investment and trust by keeping your membership rate where it is since the start for as long as possible. Equally important future Patrons can now enjoy to sit on the table without having to build one first.

On the other side, we have different base costs now than we had in December 2020. In 2022 this channel was not self-sustaining. Life in 2023 in general will be more expensive compared to 2022. Those who can afford to further push this channel towards long-term existence, can now do so. There are 2 income related goals for 2023: 550€ channel income is the current break-even point, allowing to replace equipment and use up kits, still without considering my time-investment. 850€ is the baseline for this channel to allow to diversify into allied and modern tanks and tracks still without my time investment considered but allowing research (books, museum trips, part purchase) outside of my own field of personal investment. And yes, increase in budget will increase the amount and/or complexity of parts I can make.
(Part of schedule clusterf*ck in 2022 was due to me misjudging time requirements and not knowing when to stop. But 2023 is going to be pre-produced this happening again to such an extend is very unlikely. I’m working off of started projects and stuff I never announced covering about 6 months of content + all missing types of German ww2 tracks to go with it for a baseline.)

**that’s you as a investing patron and me = the moron running this channel… (still not taking myself too serious : )

Thank you very much for your ongoing support!
With kind regards,
Kai.

PS: Comms are going back to the “what should be” from here: I will notify you once the November rollout is done and otherwise the next time in January with new preview and file release on and to schedule. Intending to keep overcommunication in check, while getting the relevant stuff out in one go. One more video is in the making.

August preview (Post delivery)

Task for August is to deal with on-vehicle-mounted (ovm) tools for the very early Panzer III variants: Ausf. A, Ausf. B, StuG 0-Series.

Both Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. A & B were interwar developments and not much more than technical path-finders. Produced between 1936 and 1938 they were issued to the military and after rather short wartime deployment refitted and used for training. The combination of pre- plus early-war military issue, together with their repurpose as training vehicles and finally very small production numbers to begin with (~10 Ausf.A + ~15 Ausf. B) does ask for problems:
It is very hard, more often than not, impossible, identify: 1st; The equiptment present and 2nd; How the equiptment changed over time. Therefore please take my advice here as suggestions only. Most if not all parts here are based on the Panzer Tracts supplemented with photographs. It was easily the most difficult topic for me this year. To be honest I have mixed feelings about the results, specialy because there is almost no documentation and literature to work with. Nevertheless these tools a valuable addition to the catalog and collection of digital, printable replacements.

I did updetail each tool compared to what is in the box, giveing you a good baseline to customize your build. In some cases it will be up to you to combine clamps and tools in your slicer software in order to get the spacing you can see on your refference. No worries, all presupported files are compatible to allow for combining them in this way.

Most if not of this equiptment can be used for later vehicles as well. It is my impression that with later model designation more stuff was added while the older parts were used until replacement was needed i.e. 38cm track-fork would become obsolete when the change was made to 40cm wide tracks...

Shovel

For the Panzer III Ausf. A were are for the most part on our own, there is no good drawing of the tool layout in Spielberger's and Jentz' books. Therefore I only highlight a difference in the shovel arrangement I've noticed. All other things can be replaced using the kit's instruction manual...

On the Panzer III A I have observed different mounting options for the shovel. It seems to me there was an early, very simplistic way of mounting the shovel using a  holder, made from flat-stock, together with a single raised clamp. After refit the later, universaly used, variant can be observed: A combination of sleeve, raised clamp and angled bracket. Renember I'm not an expert and early Panzer III are not well documented in literature, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

To make sure you can adapt it your reference, I have inluded all parts as seperate blank and pre-supported items. (You can align them in your slicer software, when you hit "slice" they will be fused together automaticly: i.e. chitubox, leechy, photon-workshop all do the same...)

Prybar

For the prybar I did run into at these two configurations. I did supply each component seperate for you to fuse within your slicer to fit your reference the best.

S-Hook

One S-Hook can be seen mounted to each side of the vehicles in some cases. You might want to mirror this desgin on order to get right look of the hook hanging in the clamp.

Starter Crank

This item is mounted to the rear wall on many model designations. I've included all parts seperate again, allowing you to use it throught production.

Jack Holder

Another universal part, it can be used on many different vehicles and model designations. The wingnut has to be glued on, I've included a 2nd one in the pre-supported version to give you a good chance for success.

Jack? Jacks are very complex parts, I've scheduled them as a module for 2023 once I have sufficent data.

Jack block

This a repalcement mainly for Bronco's Ausf A. Earliest style, with handle and strap. I have included versions without strap and blank files as well.

Fire Extinguisher

Early Type of fire extinguisher. There is none of this type in the museums I know. If you can provide better data, please do so. This one is based on PT and honestly I don't feel too good about it being accurate.

"Track tool"

This claw was used to re-install and connect the track in-field. It's a universal part and was used as long as narrow tracks (type 1) were issued. I've included blank and pesupported versions and in seperated components.

Drahtschere

I made a new version of Wire Cutters. Currently I'm sure when it became standard issue to mount these to side of the super struckture and how to do so. Currently I'm guessing it came up with the Panzer III Ausf. C outside of the scope of this months goals, Nevertheless present on the StuG-0 from start(?)

Axe

The last universal part within this month's scope is an axe. Did run across different mounting options again and was not able to identify exact dates or vehicles changes were made. Therefore I've included all compnentes seperate as well.

I hope this release does meet your expectations.
Thank you very much for your support.
Kind regards,
Kai.

September Preview (Post Delivery)

Files have been dilivered via personal message 26th November.

Topic for September is the first batch of Panzer III / IV track links.

Type 1 Tracks

These are the tracks we can find on both Panzer III and IV produced from 1936 on. There is some confusion about the width: Type 1 tracks are 2cm narrower comparted to all other. The track link itself is ~36cm wide, the track (that's link + pins) are 38cm. All later types have 38cm wide links or 40cm wide tracks.
The good news is you can spot this early type very easily: the "Griffleiste" (that's the large cross brace making contact to the road first) has a very specific look and is wider compared to all other types.

Within the family of Type 1 tracks, there are two different sizes of guide horns. The larger guide horn is the slightly later type and was used on the Panzer IV from Ausf. E on. Otherwise both types are identical in 1/35th scale.

I have included both variants in blank and pre-supported versions.

Since the links are slightly narrower compared to all others, we need shorter pins as well. I have included non-generic pins in black, pre-suppored and patterned variants.

I prefer to use half-length pins in order to preserve as much detail as possible. Inner side should point towards the hull, outer side away from the vehicle.

Disclaimer: These designs are based on scanned type 3 and type 5 tracks modified to match photographes and 2nd hand data of type 1 tracks. I do not own one of these links and have only access to one through a friend's hands  Thank you very much for providing the data! Some smaller detail can be slightly off - it won't matter in 1/35, just be aware in case you want to blow the up to 1/5th for your RC build...

Type 2 Tracks

This type was produced from 1940 on, they are the first 38cm wide track link and are pretty much identical with the Type 3 - with one exeption: it is not yet possible to mount "Hammerstollen" (additional ice cleats, mounted to the sides of the track link).

I've based this design on my own Type 3 A link and used photographic data to reconstruct the curved side braces. This type of link is very rare, impossible to get my hands on one unfortunalty. Nevertheless, most if not all of the geometry should be spot on within the scale of 1/35th.

As usual I've included blank and pre-supported versions of this track link.

I hope this release does meet your expectations.
Thank you very much for your support.

December Preview: Type 6 Type 7 and Ostketten track links

For once this one is getting delivered on time to active "stl-level" subscribed Patrons via Patron-Only post. The roll-out is prescheduled to Monday the 5th of December 10pm GMT+1. : )

December 5th update: Renders are now showing the final version.

Topic for December are 1/35th scale single link workable track links for Panzer III / IV, this time the Type 6, Type 7 and "Ostkette".

Type 6 Track Link Family

This Family of tracks are a development based on the Type 5, eliminating all  undercuts around the "Griffleiste". (= the large cross brace where the track makes contact to the road, "Griffleiste" is made from grip and bar/brace). It was produced from roughly autumn 1942 on -> a good example of how many designs were made and used in parallel during production. Render below shows the difference compared to a Type 3 B using 1/35 scale digital track links.

On a side note I'd guess these are different approaches by manufacturers to either compete for the best overall design or compromises reflecting different manufacturing capabilities. Most features and dimensions of a track link were specified by the army ordonnance department, leaving only some room for improvements to the manufactures...

Both main variants were made with and without ice cleats. This was made on purpose, there are factory new links proofing this. The reasons why this was done are not documented in public literature. I have not picked up a further variant carryng 6 ice cleats, instead of 4, because no photographic evidence is available to me. Just like with the other families, the main difference can be found on the guide horn used.

Type 6 A

This time we start into the first variant using the guide horn we already know as the 2nd variant of the type 5, Type 5 B. I have no information on how common this type of link was.

I have included variants with and without ice cleats, both pre-supported and blank files are included in 1/35th scale.

Type 6 B

This variant uses the last iteration of guide horn, already known from the Type 5C.
I have no information on how common this type of link was.

I have included variants with and without ice cleats, both pre-supported and blank files are included in 1/35th scale.

Type 7

This is the first time since the Type 2 (and Type 3) redesigning a main feature of the core dimensions. The Type 7's central sleeve is about 100 mm wide, compared to a Type 2-6 with 65 mm. This does strengthen its tensile strength while additional "H-bracing" does support the running surface. The Griffleiste was redesigned as well, avoiding all undercuts.

On the rear surface we can find the latest type of guide horn. This track link was produced from 1944 on and is at least documented to be used on a few Brummbär-Variant Panzer IVs.

I was lucky getting access to a original track link, therefore the dimensions are pretty accurate.

Pre-supported version included:

Ostketten

This is a further development of the Winterketten combined with the latest iteration of track link. Using a Type 7 core an additional segment was added to widen the link and reducing ground pressure as a result.

There are lhs and rhs versions of this track type as well as documented cases where only one type link was used on both vehicle sides. I have included versions for both sides, so you don't loose the cast markings due to mirroring.

Pre-supported and blank files are included in 1/35th scale.

Track Pins (reissued)

I have included non-generic half-length track pins in blank, pre-supported and patterned versions. Inner side is the side towards the hull. Here the pin heads are disc shaped with rounded edges. There is a plate mounted to the hull driving pins back in when they have lost the securing pin, therefore it makes sense to use them right way around...
Outer side is pointing away from the vehicle, here we can find a bend wire securing the pin to the track. For printability reasons the pin itself is smaller in diameter than the real one. I've made up for this with the part usually sticking out being the right diameter again.

Christmas special?
Unfortunatly not. First I have not enough spare time and 2nd operating this channel this year did cost me a 4-digit sum without even accounting for my time. Therefore I can't justify it, maybe next year will be better, we will see.

I do hope this realease does meet your expectations,
thank you very much for your support.

October Preview (Post Delivery)

Files are going to be delivered to all Patrons were active (and non-refunded) during October on Saturday 26th November (during GMT+1 Daytime) via Personal Message.
I would like to ask you kindly to not contact me atm unless necessary and if so please use instagram, I'm not available via FB or YT.
I've got a very small time budget, answering "when comes what?" questions just eat further into it, therefore I will update you as soon as it is absolutely possible to fix a date, just like in this post.

October's topic are Panzer III / IV Type 4 and Type 5 workable single link tracks in 1/35th scale.

Type 4 Track link:

This type is one of the rarer ones out there. While it has overall the same core-dimensions of the more common type 3 and 5 links, it has some unique features on the central rear wall, the "Griffleiste" has pockets instead of being undercut (done to keep wall thickness constant for casting in a more time efficient way during mold making) and we can find an additional bracing left and right of the center section for added strength to the running surface.

While the front seems to be strengthened, on the rear we can still find an rather weak open type guide horn. (This track link was produced from 1942 on, further documentation is rare if present at all.)

The link comes pre-supported and blank in 1/35th scale. Its core dimensions and geometry is derived from a scanned Type 3 A link I do own as original. Use generic or non-generic pins I've included separately.

Type 5 Family

The Type 5 is together with Type 3 the most common Panzer III / IV tracklink. If you are in doubt when building a mid-to-late-war vehicle Type 5b would be a good bet.

All 3 variants are mostly identical, the differences are the guide horns that were strengthened further as the weight of the vehicles increased.

The designs are based on a scanned Type 5B track link I do own as a original, Variant A guide horn is scanned from my original Type 3A. The Variant C guide horn was scanned from a museum vehicle. Compromises had to be made for printability in 1/35th scale (wall thickness) and to some smaller extend budget related (= no sloped surfaces used for mold making/release only).

All Variants do come as pre-supported and blank files in 1/35th scale.

Type 5 A

Here we have the upgraded Type 3 core (in terms of how common this track was) now with ice cleats and changes to how the "Griffleiste" was undercut in the areas where the sleeves are -> mine isn't for example.

Main feature of the Variant A is the open guide horn we have already seen on Type 1 to 4. This is the weakest Variant.

Side note: Not all track links had cast markings. I have not seen one of this type with clearly identifiable writing. I've seen a lot of blank ones. I was not able verify cast writing used by aftermarket brands (some of those manufacturer coded don't even exisit ; ) That's why I left this one blank.

Type 5 B

Here we see a change in the center, the Variant B uses a closed guide horn. This variant should be a good portion stronger compared to the open one. Produced from autumn 1942 on.
(Side note: Have a look at the privately owned Nashorn, displayed at Overloon, on facebook. They had a lot of problems with cracking Variant A guide horns...)

Type 5 C

This Variant should be the last iteration commonly used for the Type 5. The gude horn got some indents, further strengthening it while reducing drag on the roadwheels at the same time.
I can not say if the B or C Variant was more commonly used on late war vehicles, usually this feature is not visible on war-time photos. According to the "Panzerketten" book it was produced from 1944 on.

Track Pins

I have included non-generic half-length track pins in blank, pre-supported and patterned versions. Inner side is the side towards the hull, here the pins are disc shaped with rounded edges. there is usually a plate mounted to the hull driving pins back in when they have lost the securing pin.
Outer side is pointing away from the vehicle, here we can find a bend wire securing the pin to the track. For printability reasons the pin itself is smaller diameter than the real one, I've made up for this with the part usually sticking out being the right diameter again.

I hope this release does meet your expectations.
Thank you very much for your support.

Roadmap for the rest of ’22 and early ’23 + Topic changed for September

Here is what I have in store for the rest of the year.

I’d like to get the Panzer III / IV family of tracks completed without dragging it out. Further I’d like to finish work on the early half of Panther Ausf. D production and start the new year with a topic I enjoy truly in order to keep my motivation high.
Rest of the year is pretty short, december is non-existent when it comes to productive spare time work, neither is the first half on January - that's why I already started to prepare stuff.

Further I'd like to finally manage to switch over to a proper executed release schedule instead of this mess right now. You guys need to read only twice from me a month: the preview and the release - that's what I'm working towards right now.

August post release remains as stated: Fryday 9th September.
Hetzer Backlog is being worked on again. Release TBA.

September:

Topic Change! I’m not getting done with designing the Panther stuff in time, subsequently can’t finish the model kits either. I'm not willing to haste the desgin process and sacrefice the quality that is possible with the data I have (most stuff was mesured and some scanned at Breda.)
Further I need to have the parts and video available before the release as a preview, not post release date.

In case you’re upset with this decision – contact me, we’ll find a solution that works for you.

New Topic: Panzer III / IV single link workable tracks:

  • Type 1 tall guide horn -> corrected and up detailed, derived from my scanned type 3 core instead of data I got from a private collector.
  • Type 1 short guide horn -> same as above.
  • Type 1 experimental curiosity that showed up on social media…
  • Type 2
  • non-generic pins included

1/35th high detail version and optional new "beefcake" adaptation for older printers.
Pre-supported versions included.

October:

  • Initial style of engine air intake cover.
  • (Engine hatch? Conflicting data atm – I will climb an Ausf. A to verify first.)

  • Workable Panther Early Track – very minor changes and up detailing, mostly based around me having partial 3d scans from 5 tracks of 3 different vehicles by now.
  • MERCHANTS ONLY: Early Access to the full updetailed Panther Track family.

Personal Note: I'm going way over budget with this release, this is due to my personal enjoyment of the topic itself. Please keep in mind I have to ballance cost for data gethering & equiptment usage with the budget this channel allowes for. My time involvement is currently not taken into account anyways - it's still a spare time project and will remain so for a long while. Thank you.
