Hi, This is muchi.

Although the weather is still quite warm, a touch of autumn has begun to arrive in Japan.

The street trees in the park near our workplace have also started to take on beautiful autumn colors. Even small changes like this in everyday scenery can be really delightful.

It seems that many tourists from outside Japan are visiting famous spots for autumn leaves, but once again this year, the unpredictable timing of the foliage has left many visitors uncertain and frustrated.

In Japan, trees like momiji (Japanese maple) and kaede (another type of Japanese maple) are popular for autumn leaf viewing, but I’d love to see Canadian maples as well. I enjoy the delicate beauty of Japanese maples, but the large maple trees of Canada seem like they would have an impressive presence.

Both kaede and momiji are also used as female names in Japan, which shows just how beautiful they are.

The heroines in our manga are just as beautiful as the autumn leaves!
