Up in the northernmost part of Japan, there's a prefecture called Hokkaido, boasting the largest expanse of land. While Japan overall has limited land suitable for agriculture and dairy farming, Hokkaido has relatively good terrain for farming and is somewhat similar to the dairy-rich lands of Europe in terms of climate. As a result, a significant portion of Japan's dairy products is produced right here in Hokkaido.
Not to mention the abundance of rich seafood and agricultural products, the food in this region takes pride in being exceptionally delicious, even among the diverse culinary offerings in Japan.
