there is a lot more freedom with freehand drawing, just like there is a lot of consistency with paint over drawing.
i then remembered a lesson from most my teachers and art tutors that you need to "draw it 100 times" which is more about just keep studying the forms and practicing until it becomes second nature
i remember feeling that was daunting and terrifying to the point i did not want to do it. now i feel that is going to be an excellent and simple way to get a character down.
so lets start with 100 studies of arthur and jenny
