Naruto: Copy System#763+764: Now You See It's Not a Pushover, Right? This is for Your Development

After recovering, a wave of exhaustion washed over Yoruichi. She had been through several intense battles, and it had taken a considerable toll on her.

"If you're tired, get some rest. Don't worry, it's completely safe here," Shin said, noticing her fatigue.

Hueco Mundo was hardly what you'd call safe, but any place Shin was, was the safest place in the world.

Yoruichi nodded, trusting his words completely. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

For someone so energetic, she was surprisingly peaceful when she slept.

Shin lay down as well, closing his eyes. But even with them shut, nothing in the surrounding area could escape his senses.

——————————————————————

Months flew by in Hueco Mundo. Shin made a few trips back to the Seireitei, but always returned quickly. Yamamoto remained unaware that he had taken Yoruichi to Hueco Mundo, thanks to Retsu Unohana covering for him.

"So, how does it feel? Your strength has been skyrocketing, right?" Shin asked with a light chuckle.

"It really has," Yoruichi admitted with a nod. She felt like she could easily wipe the floor with her past self from a few months ago.

"Come on, let's head back to the Seireitei. Training here any further won't do you much good."

Shin decided to take Yoruichi back. Pushing her training here any more wouldn't yield significant results, so it was better to return.

"Finally! I was about to lose my mind if I had to stay here any longer."

Though her power had grown immensely, the one thing she couldn't stand was Hueco Mundo itself. The environment was just awful.

"Don't get too excited just yet. When we get back, you've got a little strength test waiting for you. I'm going to have you fight that Adjuchas."

Shin was referring to the Adjuchas he had captured and kept in his Kamui dimension. He figured Yoruichi was strong enough to handle it now.

"Perfect. I've been wanting to test my true strength. But are you sure it's okay to bring an Adjuchas back?"

Yoruichi was a little worried. If he were discovered, Shin might become public enemy number one.

"Don't worry. I've been keeping it in the Kamui dimension. It won't be appearing in the Seireitei. Besides, I have a feeling you'll probably beat it to death before long," Shin said, reassuring her.

He then used Yomotsu Hirasaka, teleporting himself and Yoruichi back to the 2nd Division barracks in the Seireitei.

"After you defeat the Adjuchas, I'll promote you to Vice-Captain."

"Really?" Yoruichi’s eyes lit up. She was thrilled at the prospect of becoming a Vice-Captain.

A faint smile played on Shin’s lips. She probably thought being his Vice-Captain was a good thing. It absolutely wasn't.

He was already thinking about how, once Yoruichi became Vice-Captain, he could dump all his responsibilities on her.

Yoruichi had no idea Shin was already planning to turn her into his personal workhorse.

——————————————————————

After returning, Yoruichi rested and got herself back into peak condition. Shin then brought her into the Kamui dimension.

There, she saw the massive Adjuchas. The moment it spotted Shin and Yoruichi, the enraged Hollow attacked.

Being suddenly trapped in this bizarre place had driven the Adjuchas into a fury. It wanted to tear apart any Soul Reaper that showed up. If it wasn't mistaken, they were the ones who had locked it in here.

"He's all yours, Yoruichi. If you can't handle him, just give me a shout," Shin said, immediately backing away to avoid the Hollow’s attack.

"As if I can't beat this thing," Yoruichi retorted. She didn't think for a second she'd lose to this Adjuchas. Her strength had grown so much; she was filled with confidence.

Shin stepped back to watch. Yoruichi skillfully dodged the Adjuchas’s relentless assault.

She moved like an agile assassin. With the way things were going, the Adjuchas couldn't even hope to land a finger on her. Her Flash Step had reached a whole new level of mastery—it was, after all, her greatest strength.

"So, what do you think?" Yoruichi asked Shin.

"I think you should probably focus on the fight instead of asking me for a critique," Shin replied.

Just as Yoruichi’s attention wavered, the Adjuchas seized the opportunity, striking her and sending her flying. Its claws nearly pierced her heart.

The close call sent a shiver down Yoruichi's spine. That was really dangerous. She had to admit, she had underestimated this Adjuchas.

"Looks like I need to get serious."

Yoruichi activated her Shunkō, and a tangible spiritual pressure enveloped her entire body.

Her physical abilities skyrocketed, increasing more than tenfold. Her spiritual pressure even generated arcs of lightning that struck the ground around her.

"Die." Yoruichi stomped the ground, launching herself high into the air. She appeared directly above the Adjuchas and aimed a powerful kick at its mask.

"ROARRRRRR! DAMN SOUL REAPER!"

The Adjuchas raised its arm to block the kick. Although it was sent flying dozens of meters and its arm was broken, such an injury was nothing to it.

"..." Yoruichi frowned, a sense of unease creeping in. Using Shunkō drained her stamina considerably.

Her attack didn't seem to be effective against the Adjuchas. If the fight dragged on, she would likely be the one to lose.

The Adjuchas's shattered arm regenerated in an instant. High-Speed Regeneration—even a severed limb could grow back in moments.

"Now you see it's not a pushover, right?"

Shin had been watching the whole time. Of course, he knew Yoruichi was in a tough spot. He just had no intention of helping. He was only there to make sure she didn't die.

As it stood, the chances of Yoruichi defeating this Adjuchas were slim to none. If she could, it would mean her strength was already on par with a Captain.

"Cero."

The Adjuchas opened its mouth and fired a Cero, a massive beam of spiritual energy, straight at Yoruichi.

"<Utsusemi!>"

Using the advanced Flash Step technique, Yoruichi left behind an afterimage and dodged the attack, then quickly closed the distance. She knew she had a better chance up close than trying to fight it from a distance. Her greatest strength was Hakuda, after all. Her Kidō skills were average at best.

Shin had taught her Kidō, and her talent for it wasn't bad, but she never took it as seriously as her Hakuda training.

The Adjuchas was massive, far larger than Yoruichi, but to her, that was an advantage. She was clearly much more agile.

<><><><><><><><>

After clashing with the Adjuchas for a while, Yoruichi retreated to Shin’s side.

“I can’t do it. I’m no match for this thing,” she said, admitting defeat. It was true, she couldn’t beat it. She had thrown everything she had at it and had barely managed to inflict any lasting damage, mainly because its High-Speed Regeneration was just too monstrous.

The rate of its healing outpaced the damage she could deal, and now, her spiritual pressure was almost completely depleted.

"Then we'll fight it another day."

Shin sent the charging Adjuchas flying with a single punch.

Yoruichi watched, speechless. When it came to Hakuda, there probably wasn't a single person in the entire Soul Society who was stronger than Shin. Now, she truly believed just how powerful he was.

"Let's get out of here for now."

Shin took Yoruichi and left the Kamui dimension. As for the Adjuchas, it would remain locked away, waiting for the day Yoruichi was strong enough to kill it.

“By the way, Yoruichi, I think you should focus more on learning Kidō. Otherwise, it's going to be a considerable weakness for you.”

Shin said to her. While Yoruichi knew some Kidō, she was far from proficient.

"I can't spread myself too thin," Yoruichi replied. Just practicing Hakuda and Shunpo already took up so much of her time. If she had to add Kidō to the mix, she felt she wouldn't have enough time for everything.

“Your martial arts have basically hit a plateau for now. Breaking through that limit won’t be easy, so it's the perfect time to start learning Kidō,” Shin told her. If he had the Hōgyoku, breaking limits wouldn't be an issue. The Hōgyoku’s power was to shatter boundaries and bring forth evolution—to realize the deepest desires of the heart.

But he didn't have the Hōgyoku yet. Who knew when that would be created? It all depended on Kisuke Urahara and Aizen—especially Urahara, that brilliant mind.

"Whatever you say," Yoruichi said. Although she had no interest in Kidō, since Shin put it that way, she wasn't going to refuse.

“You might be reluctant now, but you’ll see the benefits of Kidō later,” Shin said to her. Kidō definitely added a certain flair to a fight. Using Hakuda made you a warrior, but with Kidō, you instantly became a mage.

“I’ll have a word with Old Man Yamamoto and get you promoted to Vice-Captain.”

After all, this was a promotion to Vice-Captain. He had to at least give the old man a heads-up. Yamamoto probably wouldn't make a fuss over it. A quick word should be enough.

Shin left the 2nd Division barracks and headed for the 1st Division. The matter was simple. The current Vice-Captain of the 2nd Division, a member of the Hō family, wanted to pass the position to Yoruichi anyway. A quick word from Shin, and Yamamoto agreed.

Technically, she needed to prove her strength, but with Shin personally vouching for her, Yamamoto trusted him. Besides, Yamamoto already knew Yoruichi was a genius. The Shihōin clan hadn't been quiet about promoting her talent.

They had their reasons. The Shihōin family was in a bit of a weak position at the moment. If they didn’t show some strength, they might be kicked out of the Four Great Noble Clans.

——————————————————————

"You're back already?" Yoruichi said, looking at Shin with anticipation when he returned so quickly. She was, of course, eager to become the Vice-Captain of the 2nd Division, not just for herself, but for her family.

“Of course. It’s all settled. So, how are you going to thank me?” Shin asked with a grin.

"Tch, I did this all with my own strength. Why should I thank you?" Yoruichi said with a dismissive pout.

Of course, she was just saying that. Deep down, she was incredibly grateful to Shin. Without his guidance, her strength would never have improved so quickly. Shin hadn't held back at all when teaching her; he had given her his full attention.

“Don’t be so stubborn. But don’t think becoming Vice-Captain is all sunshine and roses. This is all for you to handle now.”

Shin handed a mountain of documents to Yoruichi. From this day forward, she was officially promoted to his glorified paper-pusher.

“Wait, what’s this?” Yoruichi froze for a moment, then asked him.

“Isn’t it obvious? From now on, all this paperwork is your responsibility.”

Shin patted Yoruichi's shoulder, giving her a look that said, ‘You’ve got this, I believe in you.’

Yoruichi was completely stunned. Wasn’t this the captain’s job? Why was he dumping it all on her?

"Isn't this your responsibility? Are you trying to slack off?" Yoruichi glared at Shin.

"Then what do you think a Vice-Captain is for?"

Shin smiled and asked her.

"A Vice-Captain is supposed to assist the captain, of course. What's your point?"

"Well, since you said it yourself—a Vice-Captain assists the captain. So isn't my work your work? All this is for you now. Think of it as… personal development."

Shin placed the stacks of documents in front of her and promptly made his escape. The pile of paperwork was truly massive. Unohana had helped him with it before, but she was busy now and had returned to the 4th Division barracks.

Shin hadn’t touched any of it, and now it was all for Yoruichi.

“IF I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, I SWEAR I’LL KILL YOU!” Yoruichi shouted through gritted teeth.

Even though she was no match for Shin, she still wanted to tear him apart. It was too much. She had just been promoted to Vice-Captain, and he was already making her do all this tedious work.

Shin had already left the 2nd Division barracks and was heading for the 4th Division. Yoruichi was probably furious right now, so he figured it was best to make himself scarce and avoid her wrath. He'd lay low for a bit and let the storm pass. It was for his own safety. Knowing Yoruichi, she might actually try to attack him.

——————————————————————

"You actually have time to come here."

Retsu Unohana couldn't help but put down her work when she saw Shin.

Compared to the 2nd Division, the 4th Division was much busier. All the injured had to be treated here. Even if there were no battles with Hollows, Soul Reapers often sparred with each other. There were new patients in the 4th Division almost every day.

"Why wouldn't I have time?" Shin sat down, smiled at Unohana, and poured himself some tea without a second thought.

“Shouldn’t you be handling your work right now?” Unohana couldn't help but say. If the work wasn't done, Yamamoto would be furious.

"I found a new workhorse. Yoruichi is the new Vice-Captain. Of course, I'm going to let my Vice-Captain share some of the burden," Shin said with a smile.
