2019-01-24 00:10:14 +0000 UTC:( ok but i still need to contact the guy who built my computer because he did something to the two drives that are hardwired in it

2019-01-24 00:02:59 +0000 UTCIt's really simple. You clone the drive. Then you right click on your comouter icon and then on "manage", from there you go to the hard drive and there you will find the options to resize partitions. If you don;t have the comouter icon on your desk just open up the start menu and start typing "computer management" it shouldmsend you to the same place where you can work on your drives, on your drivers and on your scheduling and services

2019-01-23 15:28:27 +0000 UTCyeah i got one such tool for cloning "acronis true image" but if i can't use all that extra space then i just wasted all that time and money https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktf7LwhlF1s this was one of the several tutorials i researched but i think the main difference is i have 2 "main" drives when all of these have just one

2019-01-23 15:19:49 +0000 UTCYep. Ypu clone the old drive into the new, then whithout rebooting expand the new drive's partition to fill the space and then you shut down the pc and restart it with the new drive only, there are now even GPL tools which will do it for you, much easier than when i used to do it.

2019-01-23 14:08:28 +0000 UTCYes, cloning the drive will make it look like it is 120 gb, but then (as i said) you expand the partition to the unused space. π I haven't done this in a ling while but i think windows finally pretty much allows you to (finally) do it on your own without third party tools. Let me google it.

2019-01-23 14:05:18 +0000 UTC*pats you on the head and hands you a cup of hot coco* and here is the thing i found out. the person who built my computer some how split the OS between the 120GB SSD and the 1TB WD normal drive that are plugged in to the motherboard. so i need to contact him to find out how to fix my new drive so it can replace the 120 GB SSD
