then suddenly....GREEN

so i am not sure if this is even possible but my red/green color blindness has just....gone away it seems.  in the few days i took off.. playing games and being with family, i suddenly noticed that green seemed a lot more "distinct" to me.  so i took some color tests and each time i came up normal.

maybe i always told myself i was color blind so my mind was tricked into not seeing certain colors or maybe as i get older, the cones that were responsible for my colorblindness got weaker.

either way it makes me feel more confident with future prospect in the color department.  but if i start going a little too "Garish" with my choices let me know please

you are probably right. i will still hope the change is permanent, but i will try to get as much done as i can before it goes away

Uhm... if the cones responsible for your red-green color blindness got weaker... you'd see even less green and even less red. What probably happened was that you have mild synesthesia conflicting with your red/green color perception or you have a case of epilepsy that instead of affecting muscular nerves it affects color perception (the spectrum of epilepsy is not just in strength but also what affects). Either way seeing green/red once again is probably temporary, until you get yourself seen by somebody certified. And given you live somewhere in the US... that will never happen unless you have wagon-loads of money. So enjoy your red/green perception while it lasts and try and recreate the conditions that made it come back once it's gone again. It might be any of the things you did, stuff you ate, or emotions you felt during these last few days.
