Law School - Progress update #16

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay with the post, I had to unexpectedly go back to France for a few days, and I forgot to plan the update.
As I said last week, my family came to visit me for a few days and I didn't work as much as I could. But despite that, I still found some time here and there and managed to create 5 animations, and a few statics.
Those animations I created will be used as a transition from DAY 4 to DAY 5, so I'm quite happy because they total around over 30 seconds worth of frames, which will be perfect for a transition. Pretty much like the one I used in The Entrepreneur episode 2, when MC drives his car to the bar and walk in with people looking at him.
So yeah, pretty happy with this.
Two of those animations have been rendered already, but the last three are fairly big with all the decors and such, and I estimated around 14 days to render them all.
Yup, you read that right, 14 days.
So while I'm gone, even though I don't like doing that, my computers are both working on those animations so I don't waste precious time.
Even though my new GPU is a good card, I still try and push it to its limits and well, sometimes it reminds me that I'm too greedy with my animations.
But I'm glad it allows me to animate scenes with up to 11 characters in one shot, all moving, such as this one, where the Dean walks in the class and all heads follow her.

I'm kind of disappointed I forgot to work on her hands, so they're just flat out opened, but I'm not going through another 3 and a half days of rendering to fix it lol. By the way, don't mind Rose clipping through the table, I'll fix that before the release of the first episode.
Now, while I'm in France, I'm going to be working on the script of Law School. It's the only thing I can do with a laptop.
My goal is to write all the remaining scenes, meaning all the dialogues up until the end of the first episode.
I'm flying back Sunday, so I believe it's going to be enough time for me to do it.
Once all that is written, I'll be left with the 3D part once again.
I'm staying in Ireland for new year's eve, and won't be taking holydays up until the release of the first episode, to make up for those few days I'm spending in France.
Now, let's talk about numbers:
1938 story statics
36 animations
31 scenes have been fully written
So as you can see, we are making good progress despite a hectic month of December for me. The release of the demo, my family coming to see me, and my unexpected depart for France.
I believe the month of January will be more stable and that'll allow solid progress.
Anyways, that was it for this week's progress update.
I need to go now, I'll work on the script later.
See you guys, and have a great day.

2023-12-22 13:20:30 +0000 UTCYou really have some great animations! My favourite from The Entrepreneur was when the camera pans over the front of the building and we see glimpses of what happens in the different apartements and then stays on Lucas' window. Laura's and Peter's car trip was also great, and a great example of mixing still images with multiple shorter animations. And I have always felt that is the best way to use animations in AVN's. Animating the machine-like in-and-out of a sex scene often removes any sexy vibes I had, sometimes even looking comical. But these types of animations, that lends from filmmaking, can be such great enhancements. Or when you tell something with it, like zooming in on a gun hanging on the wall...building anticipation.
