Custom Venue

I've had some people saying that they haven't been able to select the Luxe Legacy venue. I've tested in my game and it shows. Basemental's Discord have tested it and it shows. PLEASEEEE Make sure you have the LATEST VERSION of the venue list in your game! Double check your mod folder to make sure you don't have an outdated version somewhere. Also you can only have ONE VENUE LIST! Either this one or Zerbu's. The Mod works with both!!!

Hi everyone! The Fashion Designer mod is finally out! This is Version 1 because there are still aspects of it missing that will be added in another big update!

This is going to be a long-ish post because the mod has quite a lot of things inside and I really hope I don't miss anything.

SEWING

One of the aspects of this mod that I wanted to release now was the Sewing however while working on the mod, I discovered that there are 2 other modders collaborating on a Sewing Mod. I have been in contact with them and when the Sewing mod is ready, I will incorporate it with the Fashion Designer Mod. Please ignore any mentions of sewing while using the mod! These are placeholders for future update

This is an ACTIVE career mod meaning you will be able to follow your Sims to work as a Fashion Designer. This job has just 5 levels.

As an Intern, you won't be making that much money and you will be doing just ADMIN work. As you grow in your job, you will start doing some more creative work and start earning more.

The mod comes with a new lot type called Luxe Legacy! This is where the active job as well as the Fashion Show will take place. Please make sure you have the most recent version of Basemental Venue List to be able to use the new lot type.

When you first place down the new Lot Type, I will advice you to be in the World/Map View then go back into the lot and make sure the Lot type is LUXE LEGACY. Sometimes lot types revert to Generic or Residential. The option to follow your Sim to work WON'T pop up if there isn't a Luxe Legacy Lot.

The new career comes with some pre-created Coworkers. A PR Manager, Interns, Receptionist and a Boss. You will also find some Celebrities loitering about and some Clients as well. When you get to Level 5, you will be the Boss so she won't pop up anymore. A Seamstress will be added in the future update.

As your day starts, you will be required to do some Tasks - just like any active career in game.

As you progress in the Career, your work objectives will also change to reflect your Promotion. Once you have reached Level 2 of your Career, you can ask your Boss to be a Mentor and if they say yes, it will unlock some new interactions between yourself and your Boss.

New Skill - Fashion Designer.

Instead of just having a Sewing Skill, I decided to put it all together and created a Fashion Designer Skill. This new skill will unlock various interactions for you in the future and this includes the Fashion Designer Dashboard. This is a 10 Level Skill

To Start on the skill, you can Study Fashion Trends on the Computer or you can Attend Fashion Designer training via the computer or a Rabbit hole (this is only available to those in the Active Career or Part Time Career). You can also use Skill Books which you can order on the computer under Order or via a Bookshelf.

The Fashion Dashboard consists of the below interactions;

Styling Services - You will be able to offer at home Styling Services to Client Sims (more info below)
Fashion Show Challenges -During Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, you will be able to join Challenges and get some money and fame (if you win)
Search for an Agency - You will be able to Join a well known Fashion Agency
Fashion Brands - You will be able to work with some known Fashion Brands and get money
Agency Database - Once you have joined an Agency, you will be able to access their Database and do some Odd Jobs for Sims.
Socialise with Celebrities - You will be able to visit celebrities and easily befriend them (more info below)
Inspirational Trips - You will be able to travel to 3 different locations (more info below)

Styling Services

With the new Clients available for work, your Sim can contact them outside of work and offer Styling Services which will earn your Sim 150 simoleons each. If you want someone to be a Client, you can Ask them to be a Client ( Friendly - Interests). If they accept, you will see a new Pie Menu labelled Fashion Designer where you can Consult them on Styles and then Style them. If you want someone to stop being a Client, Just ask them to Stop (Friendly). Once you've styled someone, they will get the Loyal Customer Relationship Bit which will come into play when the Sewing Mod comes out!

Clients will also call you at random times for Styling Services.

Eclat Agency (Island Living Required)

You will get a Phone Call asking if you want to Join an Agency once you search for the agency. If you say Yes, you then trigger the Eclat Database which are Odd Jobs just for a Fashion Designer (you do not need to be in the Active Career). Once you feel like you don’t need the Database anymore, your Sim can leave the Agency which can be found on the Computer.

Socialise with Celebrities

Fashion Designer Skill Level 7 enables your Sim to network and mingle with Celebrities. Right now, you go into a rabbit hole to meet the Celebrity (Fame Level 3+ Celebs only) and come back with a friendship relationship bar, however in the future, you will be able to do more

Inspirational Trips

If your Sim has Skill Level 7 and is also an Assistant Designer+, in the Active Career, they will be able to travel to Mexico City (2 days), Paris(1 day) and London (2 days). While on the trip, your Sim will have several encounters that have several results.

The Trips are available only on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 8am

Magazine Subscription

For 10 Simoleons, Under Computer - Order or on the Phone under the Fashion Designer menu. There are 4 different types of Magazines your Sim can subscribe to. The Magazines will auto subscribe every Monday and you can read them! The Magazines are delivered via Post. When you read the magazines, you will get notifications regarding what you read inside the magazine. You might catch a few Celebrity gossip and fashion tips in there.

Phone Calls & Text Messages

As you play the game, you will get phone calls or text messages from Friends, Co-workers and Celebrities to go to various events such as Exclusive Fashion Shows or/and Exclusive Parties.

Fashion Illustrations

Once you reach Level 2 of the Fashion Designer Skill, you will be able to draw Fashion Illustrations on the Sketchpad. Once you have drawn them, you can also sell them on Plopsy for extra money. The better your Painting & Fashion Designer skill, the better the illustrations will be. There are currently 14 illustrations, more will be added over time.

Active Fashion Show

Fashion Shows were first introduced in my Fashion Student Mod and as promised, I have made it more interactive for everyone! With the mod, you can now use Mannequins in ANY Lot meaning you can create and apply outfits outside of Retail and Residential lots. The previous version of the Fashion Show only had one animation but now there are 4 animations in total. One of the Animations (Walk Down) is Male Gender Based.

While the Fashion Show is on-going, you will also be able to Style Models.

TIP: Want to have a successful Fashion Show? Use a small lot plus the markers that came with the Moschino Stuff Pack to pose your Models.

Interactions

There are various interactions in this Mod. Some are locked under Careers while others are locked under the Fashion Designer Skill. You can now Discuss Fashion with Sims, interact with Interns at Work, Ask your Boss for Constructive Feedback and Order Fabrics plus so much more.

ALL Interactions in both Mods either Computer, Phone etc have an action either Buff or Notification etc etc so be sure to explore it.

Fashion Student Mod Changes

The Aspiration has changed to match The Fashion Designer Mod
Model Poses can now be found under a new Pie Menu - Modelling
The Modelling Pie Menu will only show for Sims with Fashion Designer Skill Level 1+
Active Fashion Show Objectives have changed to reflect all new changes
Write Fashion Blog can now be found under Computer - Write
Watch a Fashion Show interaction now allows you to select Sims to go with you!
Active Fashion Shows will take place in the new Lot Type or a Generic Lot
Fashion Student Trait has been removed, all previous interactions are now linked to the Fashion Designer Skill
Fashion Designer Skill Level 2 required to host a Virtual Fashion Show
