VR Headset test
Added 2025-07-22 16:04:03 +0000 UTCYep, That's me, wearing the Bigscreen VR headset today. I want to share my opinion.
The size and the weight is better than any other headset. There is no grid visible. This is what VR should be. A view with no pixel grid visibility. The pixel density is REALLY good. I think the FOV beats the Quest series a bit.
There is no cameras, this is the Version 2. Unbelievable. The lenses can have your vision fixed, so no need to use glasses. The cushion is tailor made 3D-printed, so you will have to scan your face with Iphone or Android. No seams.
Highly recommended. I have zero connection with these guys, paid for this before the release.

I don't suppose the peripheral-vision is improved from, say a Quest2, is it? Even though the screens have improved by leaps and bounds through the decades, the lack of peripheral-vision is still one of the limitations that really breaks the immersion for me with VR. "Put on the goggles and it's like you're really there! But, you know, really there... looking through goggles."

2025-07-22 21:02:54 +0000 UTCHad me sold till i saw the price and list of things not included - shame because Ive been hoping for a more lightweight/wired headset to come out for a while now. Looks like I'll be stuck with my quest2 / virtual desktop setup for a bit longer (or I dig out my old rift) :) One things for sure - I'll definitely be upgrading to 'something' better when FD3 drops :)
