For the fuck sake...

I want to help people. I have enough to survive, I ask no more. I travel a lot. My upcoming trip next February is Thailand. Been there tons of times, also met incredible people, and really poor ones. Here I am again, wanting to help.

Before you think I'm insane, let me share you my story. When I ran a decent size post production company for tv and movies, I wanted to give part of the income to charity. The board just wanted to suck everything to themselves. Luckily, they had ears when I opened my mouth.

Do ANY donation here in Finland, and you are fucked up with the government. Anyway, I reached out the red cross, asking the most poor family where we could bring the xmas. A mother, 7 kids, living on mattresses, nothing else, never seen that before.

I talked with the mother if it's ok to come over on 24th of December, she replied yes. I asked a list of the wishes. The list begun with the dishwashing liquid, going all the way to toothpaste. Ok... I knew this family needs help, bigtime. I asked a second list, as we might not be able to deliver everything. Ofc we bought everything. Then I asked the 3rd list, if there is something we could choose from. and again, we bought everything.

Well, xmas eve, I arranged a very famous actor to be Santa. I won't go to the details, but I couldn't hold my tears. 6000 euros, that's what we gave. And it felt so good.

Now, as a super small company, I can't do it anymore. So my contribution has been a insanely small 100 euros here and there. Ah, wanted to join Lions, they turned me down because what I do.

So now, in Ko Lanta, there is a REALLY poor village maintaining the national park. Been there, seen that. I'm going over next February to meet them again. I was hoping you guys might help me, and we could arrange a collection if you are interested. I will donate $1000 for them, and I would love to see the check would be bigger.
