I have 90% of the first ending animations done. I had to arrange mocap for it, as I couldn't get good enough results with traditional methods. Everything is timed with 0 frame accuracy, and the whole thing is going to be awesome!
Talking about details and time; Our hero is wearing clothes, so I had to think of a way to get rid of them without causing FPS drop.
Cloth simulations, nope, too heavy... what else? What about if the Mother magically tears them off? Darn, tons of small objects and lots of animation work. Hm... What about burning effect? Yep, it might work, let's give it a try!
I need a shader for it. Ok, time to do some shader coding. Damn, the cloth has over 20 materials. I need to reduce the count... and so on.
The title image is the first test for that effect in Unity, and it's looking promising!
I hope I can release the first ending next week, Friday. I'll do my best, but this is NOT a promise!
I still have to create animations from the birth to happy times, animate the tentacles, import everything to Unity, create voiceovers and music. Lots of work ahead!
