Today, I decided to work with the Skin shader (Lola) bit more. It's quite funny, in 2D it's not so realistic, but in VR it is, like...super realistic. When learning new stuff, implementing it, I got her juggs and her butt having double amount of polygons for the runtime. FPS drops, nada.
I can't understand why I didn't figure out this years ago. Same goes with the game engine with the linear skinning, meaning bend anything beyond 90 degrees, and the volume has a loss. Dumbass, me, I know now!
The second image, the left hand side, that's the quaternion skinning, too expensive for the game engines. The one on the right, how Unity shows it. So, I finally tackled this bigtime.
Yep, never ever my games have this issue anymore!
