[FINALIZED] Disturbing Things from Around the Internet [Vol. 12] Shortlist
Added 2021-03-02 23:41:55 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
Figured I'd pop in and give you all a quick update.
I originally had Catastrophe Crow scheduled as the next upload, however due to the sheer magnitude of the project, combined with some complications in structuring and writing, I've decided to shelve it until I can draw out an effective roadmap to cover it cohesively. The script was about 12 pages long and was barely half-way done. Admittedly, it was taking everything out of me and my creative fuel was absolutely drained. It'll come in time - just not quite yet.
In it's place, however I've been working on the 12th episode of Disturbing Things. The script is about 70% complete, so Analyst tiers should have access to the full thing in about a week, give or take. In the meantime, I figured I'd give you all a rundown of the entries like I had in the past:
STANDING:
Everywhere at the End of Time: Online, there exists a musical album named Everywhere at the End of Time. It's a six hour artistic simulation of dementia, and is absolutely haunting. I'll be giving a walkthrough, combined with a personal story of mine regarding my experience with dementia, and how I perceived it when my great grandmother passed from it.
America Sings: In the 1970s, a woman named Deborah Stone passed away on a Disney ride named America Sings. In this entry, we'll be recounting the story and the aftermath.
Would You, Could You, On a Train?: In 2016, a train crash had occurred in New Jersey. The night before, however, a bizarre emergency alert was broadcast on local television containing the quote "Would you. Could you. On a Train"? To date, the mystery of how this happened or who did it remains unsolved.
ADDED:
Night at the Coffee Stand: Online, a CCTV recording documents the final moments of 18-year-old Samantha Koenig as she was working a coffee stand one night in Alaska. Soon after, she'd be pulled into a situation that's not only completely perplexing, but absolutely haunting.
The Incident on Highway 125: In 2009, a call was made to 911 regarding a stuck accelerator pedal in a Lexus sedan. This grim 50 second recording documents the final moments of a California family. In this entry, we'll be discussing the incident and the underlying issues that Toyota/Lexus overlooked in their 2009-2011 model year vehicles.
REMOVED:
Trash Streamer: This year, a Russian streamer was outed for live streaming the murder of his pregnant girlfriend for money. As it turns out, this was far from his first disturbing stream, and we'll be diving into his abhorrent history, the status of his victims, and where he his now.
Lisa's 911 Call: In 1990, a haunting 911 call was made by a six year old girl named Lisa. She was witnessing domestic abuse taking place in front of her eyes, and maintained her composure while talking with the dispatcher. We'll be diving into her story, listening to the call, and exploring how it affected her afterwards.
Hopefully these sound interesting. Script will be out soon!
Much love-
Ryan
