2023-07-15 06:44:34 +0000 UTCIt originally bombed in the box office but 20th Century Fox rereleased the movie for Midnight Releases. So it gained a lot of money. My theater here in Portland plays it every week at 11 and played it since the 80s. Earlier this week Willy Wonka was nowhere near second, but surged to a neck to neck race because of the Wonka prequel trailer. I am sure Wonka will win sometime prior to the new movie. The original one is a timeless classic

Rocky Horror is a generational cult-classic with 79% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and Willy Wonka is a critically acclaimed generational all-around classic. The Greatest Showman is just a modern commercial hit with a 56% rotten rating on RT. Oh, wait, I answered my own question...
