The Walking Dead 2x11 | FULL UNCUT Reactions

Comments

Walkers appear to be that strong because they don't have any pain receptors or self preservation. So, they can go full strength and force on whatever they're attacking or grabbing. Same thing when they bite.

Trevor Darnell

Howdy o/ This might be a long comment. First, I would like to restate that Rick knew about scratches being infectious. So at least to him it's not a new threat. Second, I believe that Randall didn't hurt those people his group met. He called the girls cute, that makes him creepy not an offender on a list. That would be a bad story to bring up if he participated in those acts. I believe that he found his group because he was alone and he knows that he can't survive alone. Also, one argument against Randall is that he shot at Rick. When we met Andrea she shoved a gun in Rick's face. When we met Daryl he tried to stab Rick (for leaving Merle in the roof). There was the group that kidnapped Glenn at the old folks home. We went there to kill and we made friends. First appearances can be meaningless. You guys were worried about Randal turning the group against each other. I don't think Randall needs to help with that. We see Carl trying to be an adult. He sneaks in to see Randal, he steals Daryl's gun, and he wonders off on his own. He also tried to be apart of the discussion of what to do with Randal. Shane and Dale actually have a decent conversation. Shane says if the group decides to let Randall live, then Shane will play along. I think this shows that there is still some civilness within Shane. Lori and Rick discuss the possibility of executing Randal and it is hinted that Lori is against the death penalty, but she admits that this is a new world. It is alluded to that most of the group knows that Shane killed Otis, Daryl figured it out when Shane came back with Rick's gun (Rick gave it to Otis before going to the highschool). Daryl also says that Rick probably knew Shane killed Otis but chose to live a lie because it was easier. Carl goes exploring in the woods and finds a walker in the mud, and like any child would... He throws rocks at it. Carl not shooting that walker leads to unfortunate events. Carl is reminded constantly that it's not about getting in trouble anymore, it's about staying alive. During the vote, I side with Dale. I think if we give Randall the chance (under armed guard), treat him fairly, give him food and decent protection, Randall might become an asset. Sure Randall shot at them, but our group killed three of them. Dale was right, a person's life deserves more than a five minute discussion. What happens to our humanity if we kill someone because we don't know what else to do. When it comes time for Randall to bite the bullet, Rick is hesitant, he has never executed someone. Dale had said think of what this will do to Carl. "Shoot first, think later." Carl then sneaks to the barn and tells Rick to shoot a young man in the head. That is Rick's son telling him to kill another human. Unfortunately, though, it is not Randall who dies tonight. It was the moral compass. Dale couldn't stand being a part of the execution so he went for a walk. Before he left he said "this world is cruel, it's harsh, it's survival of the fittest. It's a world I don't want to live in." But the very last words that Dale said, echoed those of Daryl, "This group IS broken." He says this because he believes that our group has lost its humanity. Rick still can't bring himself to kill someone tonight. Daryl takes the burden and puts Dale out of his misery. We see that Dale wants it as he put his head to the gun. (Side note: This is Daryl's first human kill on screen, but I would say it was more of a mercy) Also Carl see that the walker that ripped into Dale is the same walker that he had seen earlier and had not killed. I just remember a few episodes ago Dale saying, "I may not have what it takes to last long in this world, but that's okay. Because at least I can say when the world went to sh!t, I didn't let it drag me down with it." His humanity is what ultimately gets him killed. Dale will be missed.
