Can't wait to watch this next week when you finish the episode. Sorry I won't hear anything you say after this video because I will skip right to the next and it's silly to comment on a story half way through its telling.

2021-10-16 02:05:17 +0000 UTCThere was actually a shot right after Sayid said "We're here" of the boat overhead plus some eerie violins(that shot's been edited out of the show entirely when watching it streamed), then the first scene of the next part happened. No commercial there. The commercial happens after what Charlie and Eko get is "used". I just rewatched my DVD last week. I love how this show's scripts actually had where the commercial breaks happened written into them. Also, just started watching the reaction, and the recap at the beginning is edited shorter on Amazon than the recap on the DVD. Weird! Update: Wow, watching further they removed the scene of Kate talking to all the extras trying to keep them calm after the boat arrived! After they find Desmond inside, the next scene doesn't start out with him drinking on the beach. STOP DOING THAT AMAZON/IMDBtv/etc!!! They ALWAYS find a way to take out footage on streaming services. This is why I'm never getting rid of all my DVD/Blurays. Dangit! They also cut a shot of Michael and the group coming up over a hill. Lost sync. Plus they cut short the shots of Sayid praying by a few seconds.

2021-10-15 11:32:23 +0000 UTCIt didn't "end" there, that was the commercial break when it was live, but we understand, gotta stick to the schedule. The man that found Desmond when he got to the island was the same man that assisted Sayid and Kate's father when he was interrogating his own people.
