There needs to be a separate poll for animated movies . We want this to be variety not safe and kid friendly stuff to win all the time . Yes , watching animated stuff is good . But , if that's all you want to win then why bother putting other adult fare in the popular poll if that's all that is winning . It will become stale and boring if disney/pixar , and dreamworks animated films dominate . I want to see other films besides these have a chance at winning .

Yeah, an adjustment needs to be made there because if it continues this way, they will just react to animated films each week until they've watched them all. The Wildcard poll was a great idea and I also think it would be good to have a Super Underdog Poll every so many weeks as well.

Seems like people are finally beginning to notice what I complained about months ago and got criticized for. The animation fans are dominating here which makes it an uneven fight. As others have said, the best thing would be to have a separate animation poll that appears once or twice a month. As for the other polls, an idea could be to have one movie from each genre. I.e. one comedy, one horror, one action, etc. That way it's a fair game.

I'm thinking that it would be best for the animation movies to be moved to a separate poll, perhaps one or two every month because they just get seem to receive the biggest percentage of the votes almost every time. I'm not against those reactions (I'm hoping for The Iron Giant at some point) but they will likely continue to dominate the polls under the current method which really does not leave much variety. I'm conflicted. On one hand, I like that "National Treasure" is within the Top 4. Though, on the other hand, the other three Movies are Animation. If this keeps up, you'll have watched five Animated Movies in one Month: Having 6 different Animated Movies in one Poll feels like 6 chances to dominate. I'm not saying this is inherently bad, but maybe a bit too much.

A few things about Split: (a) It's possibly my favorite Shyamalan movie. (b) In order to fully appreciate everything that happens in Split, you need to watch other Shyamalan movies first. And by other movies, I mean Unbreakable. c) So watch that movie first. Then forget you watched it. Because Split should be appreciated on its own merits. It really does tell a strong, self-contained story. It's sort of a balancing act. You need to see that other movie first to appreciate everything Split has to offer. But try not to keep that consciously in mind when you watch Split, because to do so would be to shortchange how strong it is in its own right.

Maybe move Good Will Hunting and The Social Network to the underdog poll? Both keep getting a high number of votes here and there seems to be a lot of interest, but they lose out to big franchise movies or animated films. And I'd love to see Mad Max: Fury Road on a poll. Also really pleasantly surprised to see Split here. I know it won't win, but didn't even think it would make it to a poll.
