POLL- Vote on our next Movie! Request too!
Added 2020-11-03 03:27:06 +0000 UTCHi all and welcome back! Time for another POLL!
Thank you for all your requests, your support and being patient! We watch 2 movies a week now, which is huge for us, but there are a ton of Movie Requests, so thank you for bearing with us!
Also, I've been reading your discussions so thank you for all your ideas! We learn and grow from all of you! I've tried themed/genre small POLLS in the past, but that has only backfired negatively due to such huge demand for variety and most didn't care for it. Until/if we grow bigger to expand work load, we are maxed at 2 movies a week right now.. but I'm hoping things will change next year! This year has been the hardest for us since we have been losing support here and creating more videos than ever... which is a bit of a struggle. Thanks to those who have stayed! We are honored! I may try a themed format next week, but will have a lot of options since most didn't care for lesser options in the past. Any tips on how other channels keep up with demand would be helpful! The Normies and Blindwave have huge support, so I hope you don't compare us to them xoxo.. although, that would be cool too, LOL!
Requests that didn't make it in are probably on our LIST, but feel free to request again to bump them back to the top! I do keep track of all requests! Or try my best too :) Please don't get discouraged if your request isn't super popular.. we do randomly select one almost every week to give every request a fighting chance :)
Any trolling, do not engage. Let me know and I'll handle it. That person will be banned and then their VOTES will disappear. We want to keep this fair and fun.
Please give us a week or so so watch what WINS, edit and upload. :)
Thank you everyone for supporting us!

Damn I knew Man on Fire wouldn't get too many votes because a lot of people haven't seen it. It's sort of an underdog film. It is fantastic though

2020-11-07 00:06:41 +0000 UTCI am disappointed that Dunkirk, The Social Network and Good Will Hunting will not win. I have been requesting them for so long. Especially Dunkirk which is in my opinion, one of Christopher Nolan's best film.

2020-11-06 16:18:33 +0000 UTCIf Get Out loses, and especially in the last second, I give up. You can always watch Die Hard another time, especially around Christmas. Come on, guys. Let's make sure Get Out gets its justice.

2020-11-06 14:55:20 +0000 UTCI would enjoy seeing 'Jumanji - welcome to the jungle' (2017) in a poll, since you reacted to the original a while back :-)

2020-11-04 05:26:05 +0000 UTCI agree, Sean Connery was a screen legend and they really liked him in Indiana Jones. I think The Man Who Would Be King (co-starring Michael Caine and also Connery's favourite of the movies he made through his long career), The Name of the Rose and The Hunt for Red October are all great movies starring him. Any of them deserves a reaction.

2020-11-03 21:16:23 +0000 UTCWould love you to react to Game Night (2018)
2020-11-03 21:04:09 +0000 UTCGlad my request Get out is winning. Just so you know this movie should be ok for mom! There aren't really any jump scares and it's a good thriller
2020-11-03 21:03:54 +0000 UTCI can totally understand the frustration as many of my requests and suggestions have not even made the polls yet. I think only three Scary/Horror movies this October was mainly due to two reasons in that the Rush Hour movies had won two polls instead of a scary flick and Mom wanted a break from the violent scary movies there, which is why they choose Beauty and the Beast as a random reaction. Now if they had Scary/Horror movie polls, it would have guaranteed they had reacted to at least two more, instead of the Rush Hour films, which were definitely fun, entertaining reactions but could have just waited until after Halloween. So, I do agree that some adjustments be made to the polls, especially when several movies have made multiple appearances but some none at all. I think changing it up would definitely help support than if they kept things the same, but I don't plan on leaving regardless, because eventually there will be opportunities for the classic and "overlooked" movies, especially if the channel continues to grow. Also, their reactions can bring some additional analysis and new perspectives to films.

2020-11-03 20:30:59 +0000 UTCLooks like Get Out is the frontrunner at this point and it's definitely one of the best psychological thrillers in recent years. I'm not sure I would call it horror though. Die Hard is an action classic and would also be ideal around Christmas time, along with Lethal Weapon, Home Alone and Gremlins. Anyway here are my 3 weekly movie requests: The Long Kiss Goodnight (Action, starring Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson) Ransom (Drama, starring Mel Gibson, Gary Sinese) Meet Joe Black (Drama/Romance, starring Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins) Also, here are 5 favorite Sean Connery movie suggestions: Goldfinger (Arguably the best of his James Bond films) The Untouchables The Hunt For Red October Dragonheart (Voice of Dragon) The Rock

2020-11-03 20:22:54 +0000 UTChere are some suggestions for the winter season coming up. sleepy hollow (1999), snow white and the seven dwarfs (1939), cinderella (1950), sleeping beauty (1959), alice in wonderland (1951) alice in wonderland (2010), crimson peak (2015), interview with the vampire (1994), bram stoker's dracula (1992). all four of the batman movies from the 1980s/1990s.
Katie Bjordahl
2020-11-03 20:20:03 +0000 UTCIn case that Get Out wins, which looks likely, I think it’s a movie that Mom is perfectly capable of watching. It’s not that scary or filled with jump scares. Besides, the message of the movie is important, and it’s a movie that should be watched by as many people as possible.
Shehab Dawoud
2020-11-03 19:21:26 +0000 UTCThe problem with you guys' Random picks is that it still favors popular to semi-popular movies and really don't bother with suggestions even if they're movies that at least 6 other people also would like to see. Random picks would be great if they actually once in a while landed on a suggested lesser known or least voted on movie, but you guys literally only have 1 not as well known movie in your entire reaction library, "Barry Lyndon" which was a whole year ago. One lesser known or least voted on movie a year is not once in a while, that's once in a blue moon. Like others have mentioned, along with myself, October would've been a great time to break out a month-restricted 2nd poll for Horror/Spooky movies as the 2nd movie. This has been suggested since early October, but you guys didn't even bother offering a similar alternative or anything really regarding the suggestion. Then on Halloween day, instead of deciding on even one of the popularly requested Horror movies that weren't winning on the poll, let alone one that didn't make it on the poll, you guys instead chose to jump the gun on Coco - and Day Of The Dead is NOT Halloween related at all - rather than have it wait a day or two after after (the previous 3 poll winners having taken a week each before watched and uploaded.) And so this Halloween we got 3 popular slasher movies and that's it. No Ghost/Haunted house story. No classic monsters (like vampires, witches, werewolves etc, some of the most popular costumes for Halloween.) No children's dark fairy tale. No Halloween related spooky diversity whatsoever. On the subject of losing support, I have to admit I'm on the cusp - and not because of you guys reactions, which is what brought me here in the first place, but because of the "Majority rules" attitude of the poll setup and most of the community and the lack of response to any suggestions besides the usual "thanks for the suggestions" remark that doesn't really address all of the suggestions or try to work with any of the suggestions. And a "thanks, but we're just going to keep doing what we're doing that people keep complaining about" (been here a few months and have seen several people complaining, but of course they're not in the majority - again refer to the "majority rules" issue) approach is not going to help getting more support, when apparently it's helping you guys lose support. :(

2020-11-03 05:47:13 +0000 UTC-The Lego Batman Movie (2017) -The Mask (1994) -Rush Hour 3 (2007) <-> (A lot of people apparently don't like this one but I really enjoy it) -Venom (2018) -Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) <-> (A sequel to the Robin Williams one but no one from that movie appears in this one) -Kong: Skull Island (2017) <-> (connected to the Godzilla movie from 2014) -Fantastic Four (2005) <-> (Again, a lot of people don't like this one but I find it enjoyable) -The rest of the DC interconnected movies: Aquaman, Shazam, Birds of Prey (I'd say it's safe to skip Justice League because it is not Zack Snyder's true vison at all and it was highly tampered with by the higher ups in charge and none of these aforementioned movies connect with it anyways so you wouldn't miss anything)

2020-11-03 04:30:39 +0000 UTCI voted Bruce Almighty, Good Will Hunting, and Social Network. I think they provide a good different mix from the normal fare on the channel and are all *amazing* films. IMO, prior to Bruce Almighty you *really* should watch Liar, Liar.

2020-11-03 04:15:23 +0000 UTCGiven the sad news over the weekend, I'm wondering if a Sean Connery poll/retrospective is an idea worth pursuing - Highlander/Hunt for Red October/any number of Bond movies, etc...

2020-11-03 03:45:28 +0000 UTCThis channel is better than the Normies so you have that going for you, Blind Wave is a different animal altogether since they're involved with every fandom it seems. All their personalities together make for some great Star Wars discussions because they know so much. I watch that stuff to learn more about Star Wars from really cool and laid back hardcore Star Wars fans. This channel is great because of how different it is, not many channels do the "mom and daughter" thing so that is a plus. Plus you guys seem like you actually care about the content you watch with the in-depth conversations before and after. It's why I stick around and will continue to do so. Not trying to throw shade at a certain big channel but sometimes they just don't feel genuine and it feels like they're doing it "just to fit in" and keep their numbers up without any real care or interest in the content. Just my two cents but I think you guys are awesome, Storm.
Daniel R
2020-11-03 03:43:45 +0000 UTCI totally understand the hesitation on trying genre specific polls but I actually think it would guarantee more variety because it seems like many of the polls are won by popular action and animation flicks. The Dramas and Mysteries/Thrillers don't have much of a chance unless there are smaller genre polls. Also, it doesn't have to always be genre specific. It could be done for a month or few weeks and then switch back and forth with the regular polls. Also, there is the idea of randomly choosing a patreon each month to pick a movie reaction. Anyway, those are just my thoughts about it.
