Movie POLL- VOTE and REQUEST!
Added 2020-09-07 20:23:01 +0000 UTCHi all and welcome back! Time for another POLL!
Thank you for all your requests, your support and being patient! We are reacting to a lot every week now thanks to you! So much more than last year!
We try our best to give all requests a fighting chance. We have a huge LIST of hundreds of REQUESTS. We are sticking to 1 POLL a week since we are maxed out. We are doing well trying to stick to 2 movies a week, but we are not ready to commit to a second weekly POLL since we can't guarantee 2 movies every time. We do chose a random movie usually persuaded by your comments ;) I do love your ideas and we hope to have new ways to go about POLLS in the near future.
Any trolling, do not engage. Let me know and I'll handle it. That person will be banned and then their VOTES will disappear. We want to keep this fair and fun.
Requests that didn't make it in are probably on our LIST, but feel free to request again to bump them back to the top! I do keep track of all requests! Or try my best too :) Please don't get discouraged if your request isn't super popular.. we do randomly select one almost every week to give every request a fighting chance :)
Please give us a week or so so watch what WINS, edit and upload. :)
Thank you everyone for supporting us!
Happy VOTING! :D

2020-09-11 00:44:48 +0000 UTCI'm assuming Hellboy is here as a response to my request under the previous poll. If so, then yes, it's the Ron Perlman/Guillermo Del Toro version from 2004. (Hopefully Dawn read my description and noted the release year, so they don't accidentally watch the recent trainwreck reboot.)

2020-09-10 16:30:25 +0000 UTCThe readthrough is brilliant. Bumped into it a few weeks back and watched it several times. I wish they could have had Kieren Culken, who was brilliant

Katie Bjordahl
2020-09-09 21:24:06 +0000 UTCi would suggest everyone stop doing that, because Dawn often picks a movie that is less popular to win if it is the second runner up.

2020-09-09 16:34:43 +0000 UTCIt's sad that we often end up voting strategically, we abandon the one we wanted because it has a low vote and consequently no chance and vote for one we kind of want to win because it has more votes and a better chance.

2020-09-09 11:47:49 +0000 UTCI really wish they choose Dunkirk! Been on the polls for so long but never ends up winning.

2020-09-09 06:14:30 +0000 UTCOh also, for all you other Scott Pilgrim fans, almost the entire cast did a table read of the whole movie about a month ago or so. Gotta check it out on youtube

2020-09-09 05:37:35 +0000 UTCSo close to Scott Pilgrim, also I think a dive into Denis Villeneuve's filmography would be amazing, I think Arrival is the only one you have covered but, with the upcoming arrival (heh) of Dune, might be nice to go through this visionary directors collective works.

2020-09-08 12:39:08 +0000 UTCIt would be fun for you to react to Halloween (1978) and the direct sequel from 2018 for October/Halloween this year 👻👻
2020-09-08 12:36:39 +0000 UTCI’ll double-down on a couple past suggestions: 12 MONKEYS (1995): Coming off of 5th Element, you might be in the mood for another Bruce Willis movie. This is also sci-fi, but considerably more serious than 5th Element. Time travel is involved, as is Brad Pitt. 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE (2016): A totally different story from the movie titled just “Cloverfield,” so don’t feel like you have to watch that one first. Suspenseful with mild horror elements. (Don’t worry, it’s PG-13.) As I mentioned in the last poll, the premise is that a woman gets into a car crash and wakes up in what seems like a basement somewhere. She’s told by a hulking John Goodman that America has been attacked and that she has to stay there.

2020-09-08 11:35:11 +0000 UTCAnother good pick would be The Hunt from earlier this year.
2020-09-08 11:30:42 +0000 UTCRereading your post, I see you were specifically pitching the idea that people could vote for 2 movies. I like it. I know before the last month or so, people could vote for unlimited movies. However, some trolls were abusing the system by creating multiple dummy accounts and compromising poll results. Dawn has tried to crack down on that (thankfully), and I think part of that process has been limiting the polls so that people can only vote once now. I think this way it's easier to spot "voting anomalies" should a movie mysteriously jump up by a hundred votes in the course of a couple hours (which is what used to happen). However, letting people vote for just two movies would be a nice compromise.

2020-09-08 11:28:27 +0000 UTCRemember the Titans is one of my favorite films. Such a feel good film, and a great sports movie. The Negotiator would make for a great reaction with all its twists and turns. Sam Jackson and Kevin Spacey worked great off one another.
2020-09-08 11:25:29 +0000 UTCHave you considered making it so you can vote on two movies? I think that would change the results a lot, making more people satisfied.

2020-09-08 10:16:45 +0000 UTCGattaca's good choice! I don't think they've done much Noir, let alone Neo-Noir like Gattaca. Would also recommend Memento for that genre.

2020-09-08 04:35:10 +0000 UTCA beautiful mind probably won't win, but it's honestly one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. Russell Crowe gives perhaps one of the best performances ever brought to the screen - saying that it would be so great if you guys would consider this film as well as the one that wins the poll :) I understand if you can't but it would really really mean a lot!

2020-09-08 01:11:04 +0000 UTCAgain pulling for Batman '89, but that doesn't look like a possibility. My other picks for this poll would be Hot Shots, Justice League, Real Steel, Con Air, Rocky, or the Karate Kid. Movie List: The Burbs Poltergeist Toy Soldiers Star Trek ll: Wrath of Khan Warrior Clue Predator Lethal Weapon Footloose -2011 Sky High The Fugitive Dazed and Confused Secret of My Success Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Rock of Ages The Rundown The Expendables Blankman Seven The Negotiator The Cutting Edge Space Cowboys Rudy Dick Tracy Airplane! Coming To America
2020-09-08 01:04:15 +0000 UTCRear Window, Psycho and North by North West are my favorites. Hitchcock is one of the best directors ever for sure and there have been many directors who have been influenced by his style but have not quite mastered the technique. I would say David Fincher is the director who has come close with some of his movies. Brian De Palma did some suspense movies in the 80s such as Blow Out, Dressed to Kill, and Body Double which were done in the Hitchcockian style. The Coen Brothers very first movie, Blood Simple, is a great suspense noir similar to Hitchcock.
Justin S.
2020-09-08 00:50:17 +0000 UTCNice selection of older and relatively recent movies. I definitely think that the Snyder Cut of the Justice League will be more enjoyable for them but I understand if they don't want to wait that long. Nice to see Con Air make the poll, even though it has no chance of winning. I find a lot of the old school action movies from the 80s and 90s quite entertaining and Speed was one of my favorite reactions. Anyway, here are my weekly 5 movie requests and I'll include 5 comedy requests as well to add variety: The Long Kiss Goodnight (Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson) Ransom (Mel Gibson, Gary Sinese) Breakdown (Kurt Russell) The Sum of All Fears (Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman) The Game (Michael Douglas, Sean Penn) 5 Comedy Requests: There's Something About Mary (Cameron Diaz, Ben Stiller) Tootsie (Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Lange) As Good As It Gets (Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt) Say Anything... (John Cusack) Groundhog Day (Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell)

2020-09-07 23:36:49 +0000 UTCWhatever does win, I'd love if your random pick was 42. Marvel has been a large part of your channel and it'd be a nice way to honor Chadwick Boseman. Plus you all have not watched many biopics and (I don't think any?) sports films.

2020-09-07 23:33:12 +0000 UTCI mean honestly, why am I not surprised -- I was saying this on the last Poll. Though, what's interesting, is that "Iron Giant" had 10+% on the previous Poll, and now has 5% with this. Admittedly, that could change, other Polls have usually accumulated up to 400+ votes -- this one already has 200, which means only half that haven't been entered. This time around, the voting is more stretched out [which is okay], but still, doesn't really mean much when you have a 25+ Poll.

2020-09-07 23:21:46 +0000 UTCi will be disappointed if the next animated film is not Madagascar. Glad to see Mad Max (better be Fury Road) on the poll. Certain movies like "Get Out" and "Knives Out", you should not wait too long to watch , they are movies "of their time" And Storm, i know you appreciate Tarantino for his ability to create tension, but i have never, till this day, seen a director who can do suspense and tension as well as Hitchcock. I hope you will get to these films some day. Rebecca Foreign Correspondent Suspicion Shadow of a Doubt Spellbound Notorious Strangers on a Train Dial M Rear Window Vertigo North by North West Psycho Other than that....Lets get DC done, Shazam, Aquaman

2020-09-07 21:03:28 +0000 UTCMan, it’s not gonna happen. We can try, but there’s way too many eye candy movies on these polls that something substantive like Tarantino will always have a small chance of winning
2020-09-07 20:54:31 +0000 UTCA lot of good choices. But I see Scott Pilgrim, I click. It is one of the more underrated movies on this list. Mad Max, 42, Rocky, E.T., and others will get there in time but smaller movies like Scott Pilgrim need support.
