Movie POLL- Vote on what we'll watch next!
Added 2020-07-14 23:49:49 +0000 UTCHi everyone and welcome back! Expect Unstoppable this weekend! I'm adding more to our POLLS again due to popular request. Thanks for all the feedback! Many didn't care for short selections so I'm trying to find a compromise for everyone :D This time, I added our normal amount and selected a variety of requests. If you all rather just have 1 vote per POLL, let me know! There are so many choices that I think it's more fun to select many.. but it may turn out different with a 1 choice limit? Hmm...
I am trying to have this on Mondays, whoops! It's Tuesday, doh! I'll get there, LOL! If your request didn't make it in, please request again below! I rotate all requests every POLL. Some may appear more than others due to high demand. We randomly select a movie as well (Mom and Kim do) when we have extra time to give everything a fighting chance!
Happy Voting and thanks for your support! xoxo

Lol!! I didnt realize that was the old Star Trek! I thought it was Into Darkness. Whoops! I just looked up the titles and said the same thing! XD

2020-07-27 20:18:48 +0000 UTCI'm surprised you haven't reacted to Kick-Ass. That's one hero movie that would be a great reaction video!

2020-07-20 23:29:29 +0000 UTCEh, Speed is ok. Wouldn't have been in my top 10 choices from this poll. I really hope we see Batman 1989, Air Force One, and Raiders of the Lost Ark back on a poll soon.
2020-07-20 06:58:53 +0000 UTCWell, I really hope Batman '89 and Star Trek ll: The Wrath of Khan come back on a poll in the near future, or the ladies just decide to watch them, especially Batman '89.
2020-07-20 06:55:54 +0000 UTCI hope they still wind up watching Batman 1989 :(
Daniel R
2020-07-20 03:16:37 +0000 UTCMovie recommendations: 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Batman 1989, Pearl Harbor, Real Steel, Step Brothers, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Hot Shots
2020-07-19 22:05:40 +0000 UTCSpeed is a classic 90's summer movie I'm glad it won. But I'm still waiting for Knives Out and Parasite to win.

2020-07-19 06:48:26 +0000 UTCI'm just curious... Star Trek 2? Did I miss something where you watched the first movie? I do recommend it, for contrast if nothing else. It's very much a pre-modern 2001-style of sci-fi film.

2020-07-19 05:51:45 +0000 UTCWow. This is the *only* time I've ever seen anyone mention A Perfect World. Really good drama with solid acting that oddly no one seems to know about, despite having some pretty big stars. One of my favorite Costner performances.

2020-07-18 22:56:56 +0000 UTCI also recommend A Few Good Men, The Last Samurai, Point Break with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, A Perfect World, Kong Skull Island, Drive and The Man from U.N.C.L.E with Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer.
Stephanie
2020-07-18 19:52:33 +0000 UTCI wanted to recommend Speed and Point Break with Keanu Reeves and now I see that Speed won this poll. I'm so happy and I can't wait to watch your reaction.
Stephanie
2020-07-18 19:43:44 +0000 UTCRecently watched your reaction to Signs, which was great. You guys really should react to The Sixth Sense, which is probably M Night Shyamalan's best movie
Shyam Nair
2020-07-18 07:09:40 +0000 UTCWell, since they lost the poll, may as well add them back into my recommendations: Batman 1989, Star Trek ll: Wrath of Khan, Air Force One, Con Air, Face/Off, Last Action Hero, Demolition Man
2020-07-18 03:35:48 +0000 UTCbatman returns, batman forever, interview with the vampire, bram stoker's dracula, sleepy hollow, beetlejuice, edward scissorhands, twilight

2020-07-18 02:25:08 +0000 UTCSpeed is a great flick and ideal for a reaction, especially for people who have never seen it as I can still remember watching it the first time as a child and loving every second of it. Batman 1989 is another childhood classic. I really enjoyed almost all of the films on this poll, except I thought Suicide Squad was just ok. Anyway, there are several good options here but I'll keep making recommendations that are not included in the polls each time. Here are 10 recommendations in no particular order: Ransom Meet Joe Black The Sum of All Fears True Lies Breakdown (1997) Con Air Outbreak (1995) Hook Twelve Monkeys Cliffhanger
Justin S.
2020-07-17 19:01:33 +0000 UTCThe Lethal Weapon movies would be good.

2020-07-17 17:43:33 +0000 UTCSpeed is one of my favorite action movies because although it is such a simple premise, it is done so well and one of the few films where there is no dull or uninteresting moments. It was the first rated R movie I saw as a little kid and remembered being confused because I definitely think Raiders of the Lost Ark had more violent or disturbing scenes as well as Jaws which were both PG. Watership Down, which was an animated movie from the 70s also had more disturbing scenes for a child than Speed, at least in my opinion. All were great movies, of course.
Justin S.
2020-07-17 11:59:32 +0000 UTCI also recommend the Kids in the Hall movie "Brain Candy." It will never win a popularity vote (like ever) but it is SO funny and weird and ahead of its time. I think you'd love it. PLEASE take a leap of faith and give it a chance someday. SO funny! :D

2020-07-17 08:27:04 +0000 UTCvoted for Batman, Star Trek ll: Wrath of Khan, and Air Force One, but looks like none of them have a shot. I'd like to re-nominated Batman 1989 for a future poll!
2020-07-17 06:20:05 +0000 UTCGreat poll, although I was hoping Star Trek ll: Wrath of Khan or Batman 1989 would win. Movie Recommendations: Real Steel, The Rock, Anchorman, The Blind Side, Kick-Ass, Dazed & Confused, Hot Shots
2020-07-17 06:08:00 +0000 UTCEven though it looks like Speed will win, I really hope they watch Batman '89 as well.
2020-07-17 05:35:51 +0000 UTCI wouldn't be surprised if it got a surprise reaction at some point. (To be honest, I thought it was going to happen around the time they did Princess Mononoke.) Hey, at least you weren't pulling for "Contact," like me. 23 votes. Yikes.

2020-07-16 21:26:50 +0000 UTCYeah, someone has gone to great lengths to make sure of that.
2020-07-16 16:27:22 +0000 UTCI guess I'll repeat a couple requests. Hopefully they might strike the ladies' fancy enough to warrant surprise reactions. EX MACHINA (2014): Indie, low-budget sci-fi. Small cast, good acting. I go back and forth over whether it’s appropriate for Mom. There’s nothing that’s particularly traumatizing, just awkward to watch in mixed company. Regardless, this would be a nice change of pace. 12 MONKEYS (1995): Given how good this is, and the fact that it stars Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt, I don’t understand why it’s not more popular. Grungy, slightly grim story, but you empathize with characters. Even though this is on a much larger scale than Ex Machina, both represent smart sci-fi.

2020-07-15 16:05:54 +0000 UTCWow, pleasantly surprised that we got the next poll this soon. I do enjoy these larger polls more, especially when it's got some great movies like this one. Personally, I'd love to see Star Trek ll: The Wrath of Khan win, but Batman would be a lot of fun too. I guess I'll throw out my movie recommendations: Real Steel, Pearl Harbor, The Rock, 13 Hours, Hot Shots, Anchorman, Warrior(2011 film), A Few Good Men, Step Brothers, The Amazing Spider-Man(2012), Jerry Maguire, Con Air, Face/Off, Footloose(2011 version)
2020-07-15 15:48:21 +0000 UTCI really enjoy both those movies. Pearl Harbor gets more hate than it deserves.
2020-07-15 15:40:21 +0000 UTCYou should also watch The Guardian 2006 and Pearl Harbor 2001
2020-07-15 15:32:15 +0000 UTCRecommendations: Taxi Driver, The King of comedy, A Clockwork Orange, The Wolf of Wall Street, Training Day, The godfather trilogy, Shutter Island, Gone Girl

2020-07-15 15:24:50 +0000 UTCA Few Good Men, American Sniper, Castaway, Tropic Thunder, Warrior, Hacksaw Ridge, Million Dollar Baby
2020-07-15 15:13:47 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you went back to this larger poll format with multiple movies being able to be voted on(at least for this week). Would really like to see a Raiders of the Lost Ark reaction. Some movie picks I'd personally like to see: Scream, True Lies, Power Rangers-2017, Shazam, Tropic Thunder, The Blind Side, Rock of Ages, S.W.A.T.
2020-07-15 14:37:00 +0000 UTCGreat poll this week, Storm crew! I'd love to see the 2011 Footloose on one of these polls in the future, I've seen it recommended on here a few times. I think it would make for a really fun reaction.
2020-07-15 14:30:42 +0000 UTCReally fun pole this week. I do prefer these larger polls. If it holds on, I am really looking forward to a Batman reaction!
2020-07-15 14:22:19 +0000 UTCReal Steel, Flash Gordon, Hot Shots, The Blind Side, Kick-Ass, Valentine's Day, Anchorman, Dazed & Confused
2020-07-15 14:19:35 +0000 UTCThe Rock, Pearl Harbor, 13 Hours, Face/Off, Scream, A Few Good Men

2020-07-15 14:02:39 +0000 UTCI really want Batman to win!
2020-07-15 13:58:36 +0000 UTCMovie recommendations: 12 Strong, Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Rock, 13 Hours, Broken Arrow, Olympus Has Fallen, Step Brothers, Airplane, American Sniper, 6 Underground
2020-07-15 13:53:29 +0000 UTCSo many great movies this week to choose from! I really love these bigger polls. I'd love to see Air Force One sneak out a win, but you really can't go wrong with any of the probable winners. My movie picks: Real Steel, Warrior, Out of Sight, The Expendables, 13 Hours, Con Air, Face Off, Paranormal Activity
2020-07-15 13:29:17 +0000 UTCIt's great to see Batman 89 getting so much love! That movie was a big part of my childhood. Some other movies I'd like to see on a future poll: Dick Tracy(1990), Daredevil(2003), The Blind Side, Anchorman, Scream, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, Kick-Ass, A Knight's Tale
2020-07-15 13:23:23 +0000 UTCI was hoping Predator would win, but there are some great movies on this poll. Some movie picks: 13 Hours: the Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Pearl Harbor, Warrior(2011), Hot Shots, American Sniper, True Lies, Olympus Has Fallen, Gran Torino
2020-07-15 13:13:05 +0000 UTCPlease let Batman win! I'm so excited that made it on a poll! Would also love to see them watch Air Force One or Raiders of the Lost Ark.
2020-07-15 13:06:13 +0000 UTCLove this poll! I'm glad you went back to the larger poll with multiple picks. Hoping for a Batman watch-along! Some of my recommendations: Tropic Thunder, Power Rangers 2017, Dazed and Confused, The Founder, Role Models, A Few Good Men, Batman Returns(if you end up reacting to Batman '89), Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
2020-07-15 13:02:36 +0000 UTCGreat poll this week! Would love to see Air Force One or Star Trek ll: Wrath of Khan win! Here are some movie picks: Rock of Ages, Pitch perfect, The Rock, Power Rangers 2017, Out of Sight, Ghostbusters 2
2020-07-15 12:37:36 +0000 UTCWell Wrath of Khan has been requested a ton over the past few polls. Plus if it ever wins the poll, they can watch some real Star Trek.

2020-07-15 11:40:08 +0000 UTCI mean, there’s nothing wrong with the titles. Speed is a fun, popcorn movie. Batman, I haven’t seen it in forever but I know it’s good! But.. didn’t they already watch the other Batman films? I’m not sure. The Nolan ones. Also, if they watch Suicide Squads, I feel like they’d need to watch the other.. Batman.. films. Hmmm
Daryl
2020-07-15 08:53:02 +0000 UTCMan, I voted while I was at work seeing Forrest Gump take the lead, I was happy with that and just got off work seeing Speed, Batman and Suicide Quad almost double out voted Gump. I’m shook
Daryl
2020-07-15 08:48:54 +0000 UTCThey rotate the requests every poll. Plus, they just started doing separate smaller polls including lesser requested and less popular films.
2020-07-15 08:40:48 +0000 UTCI was told that my requests had already been received? Are we suppose to still continue bringing them up on every movie poll they're not a part of so they don't get forgotten or something? This is all getting a little overwhelming for me. There are so many huge requests lists submitted constantly and so many blockbusters and always so many big name movies on so many polls that I'm thinking my modest 5 requests just aren't going to cut the mustard... 😟 Well, here goes. 🤞 1) My Girl 1991 2) Benny & Joon 1993 3) Freaky Friday 2003 remake with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis 4) Bolt 2008 (the biggest name movie on my list lol... 🐶⚡) 5) A League Of Their Own 1992
2020-07-15 08:37:31 +0000 UTCFingers crossed for Batman '89! 🤞 Even if it doesn't win I hope you guys watch it anyway!! 😛

2020-07-15 08:07:18 +0000 UTCYes! REAL Star Trek, finally! I'm pulling for Wrath of Khan!
2020-07-15 07:30:30 +0000 UTCThe original Batman's are long overdue. And super excited to see predator on here now. Also don't forget about RoboCop that's the other major classic you haven't watched yet. I think I prefer this voting system. I like voting for multiple movies. If this was a one vote poll, I'd have to vote for Batman, even though I really think you should continue with the Tarantino movies. Django Unchained is really great.
Ryan B
2020-07-15 07:10:51 +0000 UTCSaving Private Ryan and Indiana Jones!!
Nick S
2020-07-15 06:47:43 +0000 UTCPrivate Ryan is definitely worthy of a special reaction. It's interesting you haven't heard of Speed, as it was a box office hit. (Though it definitely hasn't remained in the public consciousness like a lot of popular movies have.) I don't know your tastes, but I imagine you'd like it, as it's *very* entertaining. It also gave Sandra Bullock her breakout role, and helped Keanu Reeves establish a career beyond "Bill and Ted."
WastedPo
2020-07-15 06:24:43 +0000 UTCA few random notes in case these titles get reactions. (I think knowing context beforehand enhances the viewing experience): SPEED: Yes, it’s rated R, but I can guarantee all three of you will enjoy this. It really is surprisingly mild, and could've easily been a PG-13 with some minor snips. BATMAN: This was made before comic book movies became so commonplace. For me, the main draw of this is the director, Tim Burton. There's a heavy emphasis on aesthetic – Burton’s trademark gothic visual style and Danny Elfman's (now iconic) score. It’s not going for the pseudo-reality of a lot of newer superhero takes. INDIANA JONES/Raiders: To fully appreciate, keep in mind this came out in the early 80's. While globetrotting tentpole movies are a dime-a-dozen now, at the time, this was considered groundbreaking. Also, you might be surprised just how hardcore this movie is. Dawn has said she thinks R-rated movies were milder back then. Perhaps. On the other hand, I think the *opposite* could be said of PG movies; they were often more adult back then.

2020-07-15 06:08:25 +0000 UTCI love The Fugitive. And wow, Frantic: Even though I do remember it being very good, for some odd reason, it's a Ford movie that very few people seem to have ever heard of. *I* even forgot it existed until you mentioned it just now.
