Added 2020-05-08 23:45:31 +0000 UTCOMG, we are almost to the finale of this season! How did Gus suspect the car?! I'm so oblivious! LOL! Did something look different?! Is it because Jesse challenged Gus about the poison subtly which made him think Walt turned Jesse against him? What a show!

Its one thing to give Ricin to Tuco, who was a meth addict, and could have had a heart attack and no one would question it. But an entire party full of people (like 20 guys) all dying from alcohol poisoning? No way.

It could have been something like tetrodotoxin, a common poison in the wild (pufferfish, octopuses, and other marine life), which causes rapid paralysis that would probably be explained away or masked by the tequila. They probably thought it was just strong liquor that they underestimated, which would also make sense since Don Eladio talked it up so much. Party till you drop!

Especially with the heightened tensions with Walt and Jesse. People in real life have those moments all the time. Where they get a bad feeling about a certain situation or bad vibes from location.I think that’s what Gus was feeling in that moment.

Gus did not poison the cartel with ricin, which takes days to kill someone with symptoms like the flu. The cartel died in like 15 to 30 minutes from some other poison. Gus never knew about the ricin that Walt made and if he did I would figure that he would have killed both Walt and Jess pretty quickly.

One could suspect his intuition kicked in as he is an incredibly careful man who has done this without problems for years. Something isnt adding up so better safe than sorry? You guys are going to have a blast with the finale :)
