But If the MC had been in the capital for some reason when Hayden was needing to find a way to ensure they didn't get married off would they have gone to the MC instead of whoever they did go to? And if Hayden did go to the MC would they hide the identity of who they slept with from the King? I'm also curious if Hayden doesn't hide the identity or maybe they try but fail what would be the outcome? Like would it result in war? Or some sort of punishment for the MC? Or would the King feel forced into marrying them to save face?

A: Hayden could have gone to the MC, but it would also have been a huge mess. Because without a doubt, many nobles would say there should be no marriage, and a few would insist on the idea. And the majority would definitely not like it, saying it was just a mistake or teenage rebellion, and not that important — and even so, Hayden could still be forced to marry. This is because it wasn’t with bastards or prostitutes/randoms that Hayden slept with, but with a Darian noble, which changes things. Would it still be bad? Yes, but not enough to prevent the marriage entirely, or maybe yes. And if only a few knew, like Eleazar and the king, they would probably sweep it under the rug, maybe try to separate the two, and the king could still move forward with Hayden’s marriage.

There is a clear difference between Hayden sleeping with a bastard, randoms, or prostitutes, and with a noble. And yes, there could be some punishment.

Nugget: Ignore it if it's too much of a bother. But could you tell me as if I were a five-year-old, the politics between Darian and Pertus, like why the king takes Darian‘s sword and sits on their throne? 🙏

Sure 😁 well, the Petrunian royal family sitting on the throne is more like a punishment for the past war, when there was a war between Darian and Petrus centuries ago. It’s a way to humiliate and remind the Darians who won the war in the end, even though both sides had heavy losses. As for the sword, that’s more like a punishment from the king for Eleazar closing Darian’s borders earlier, and Eleazar accepted it on Alexiel’s advice and for some other reasons as well.

LarsBarks:I would love a little peek into Hayden's mind for that scene where the latest update ended, like why do something that bold at a Darian event with the MC present if you are crushing on MC? Especially when earlier that day MC can be obvious that they are crushing back. I am always so intrigued as to why Hadyen makes the choices they do haha so a little look into their thought process would be so interesting!
