Q&A June ? Sneak peeks and progress report.(Blood Legacies).

Hello, everyone. So, currently I've written about 11,000 words; I still need to finish writing, coding, and translating. Fortunately, I code as I write. The only parts I need to handle after writing are translating, fixing bugs, and correcting pronouns. And that's it.

(Nope, the update won’t be exactly 11,000 words. I want this update to be more complete, so there will be more content and scenes that will be important.)

I've created a new text file for Part 2 of Chapter 1 so that you don't have to restart from the beginning each time. However, if that's still happening, let me know, and I'll add options at the beginning to try to fix it (when I post the update).

There's an issue involving flashbacks that I'll discuss with you in the next update. This is because I might just continue from the MC's childhood instead of skipping years because of the development and new people in the WIP. They might change their opinions after learning what a RO was like or a bit of their past, or even about the MC's past, etc., and then they might regret their decisions thinking, "Oh, if I had known that, I wouldn't have done this or that," you know? I'll put it to a vote for you to decide and explain more about it.

Moving on, any questions for this month? Requests? Feel free to say or ask anything. See you soon!

Three sneak peeks below for you.

“How did you recognize the runes? Where did you see them?” you ask as you descend the steps, Eris following behind.

“Most of the mages of Rhiriam know about them, at least some.”

You stop, and so does he/she. She/He seems to realize what She/he said because his/her cheeks flush, and he/she swallows hard. "Not the spells, just… these runes. They were in books in the mage tower in Rhiriam. It's not like we know how to make magic items with them."

You take a step forward, staring at him/her the whole time and coming face to face with Eris, who seemed incredibly fearful but didn't dare to step back. “You’re from Rhiriam? Is that why you knew about the runes…” Your fists tighten. Rhiriam, another continent, almost another world to you, but not unknown. Where the laws that exist in Petrus and Darian do not exist, where sorcerers and other beings live peacefully. Where spells, magic, and even forbidden beings exist.

“Uh…” Eris raises his/her hands in surrender but still doesn't move away. “I don’t know about the spells, okay? Just some forbidden runes because they are also forbidden there. We don’t use them, nor do we try, ever.”

“And how will I know if what you say is true?” You can't kill him/her for this, for knowing the spells or being from Rhiriam; that would break the laws, but if he/she was the one who gave the spells, then yes, he/she would be sentenced to death.

“I swear on my life and everyone here, I swear even by my magic,” Eris says, his/her eyes now truly showing a hint of fear. “Believe me, I am not responsible for this.” Was it your impression, or was there a little green glow in his/her eyes?

“Get up!” Your father's shout seems to reverberate throughout your body, your ears still buzzing from the previous attack.

You cough, blood trickling from your lips as you press your hands to the ground, your ragged breathing causing pain with every movement of your lungs.

“Do you think enemies will spare you?! Show you mercy?!” A blast of ice hits you, throwing you back and making you grunt in pain as you roll on the cold, grassy ground. "Get up!" He walks towards you with heavy steps.

You grit your teeth, tasting blood, feeling your knees tremble, but pressing your hands to the ground, forcing yourself to get up. Your right hand grabs the wooden sword on the ground with tired fingers as your father approaches with cold fury.

“Shouldn't you enjoy the night a bit?” Vax frowned at you. “I mean, after everything, you deserve some fun more than anyone.”

“He’s absolutely right.” Kori appears behind Vax with a small cake in one hand, already eating as he throws an arm over Vax’s shoulder, nearly dragging him down, making him let out an irritated grunt. “It’s a ball, boss. I bet anyone here would dance, maybe even sneak off into the bushes if you know what I mean.” He laughs, and Asther elbows him in the side, causing him to choke, helping Vax escape the hold and giving Kori a push, who seemed to grow paler while coughing and trying to move away.

You sigh, shaking your head as your eyes scan your surroundings and, consequently, the people.
