AVATAR | FULL FAMILY Reactions

Hi everyone and SURPRISE! LOL!

We are going to start The Batman Trilogy this weekend! So expect Batman Begins Sunday or Monday here! Mom and Kim... especially Kim... has been requesting to watch this for weeks... and since she's the star, I decided to watch this and delay Batman till the weekend... (which still means an extra movie video this week anyway)! ;) ;)

This movie we did see in theaters when it first came out, but honestly, Kim never goes to the theaters and spent most of the time outside not watching since she freaked out so much, LOL! She didn't want to disturb anyone in the theater... this time around, apparently there was A LOT that she missed! Mom didn't remember a lot of this either which is great! Definitely was a lot of fun to watch again together!

You can find this MOVIE under our LINK- MOVIE Reactions post... :)

Please MOVE/COPY this video into your own Google Drive to view to avoid any Google restrictions/issues. Thanks for understanding and please enjoy!

Thanks so much for donating! :)

Thanks for the awesome reactions. A bit of advice though: some movies (like this one) have "extended cut" versions (and some, like Watchmen (2009), even more than two versions). When uploading watch-along reactions of such movies, please say which version of the movie you were watching. (another version has more/less scenes, so the viewer will get out of sync)

Totally agree. The Alien films are the quintessential Sigourney Weaver films.

Kim says she loves Sigourney Weaver, you guys should watch the Alien trilogy, preferably the first two, if you guys haven't seen it yet! You guys should also check out the Terminator films: T1 and T2

This is an awesome surprise! I am not exaggerating but this is truly my favorite movie of all time! And they are in the planning stages for the next three sequels! Can't wait. Also I can't help but think of the Native Americans and the US while watching this movie. Two times I can think of is with the Cherokee and the Sioux in the Black Hills. In regards to the Cherokee, gold was found in the Cherokee lands in Georgia. Obviously the Georgian people wanted the gold so they tried to force the Cherokee out. The Cherokee sued the Georgians in the Supreme Court where the Cherokee won with the decision that the Cherokee were a sovereign nation and thus were not subject to US Law! Unfortunately US President Andrew Jackson ignored it and passed the Indian Removal Act and forced them out of their homeland, beginning the infamous Trail of Tears. The Black Hills gold rush occurred in what is currently North Dakota. The Sioux Nation were located there and the huge influx of people to the region (to find gold) led to increased tensions between the two peoples. A few battles were fought but the most famous was the Battle of Little Bighorn where the entire US 7th Cavalry under the command of George Custer was wiped out. Unfortunately the Sioux victory was short lived and they later lost the Battle at Wounded Knee, or it's more accurate name The Wounded Knee massacre, and they had to give up the vast majority of their land. Sorry I went to Western Carolina University, only about 10 minutes from the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina, and took a few courses in Native American History (particularly Cherokee) and some courses in the Cherokee language. I am very interested in the subject and that may be why I like Avatar so much because the Na'vi are essentially the romanticized version of Native Americans, and to see them triumph when their real world counterparts did not is very enjoyable. Ok the novel is now finished, thank you for your time. :D

Yay Batman! Maybe even watch Unbreakable (another serious/realistic superhero film) starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson. It's even more pertinent now that they're making a trilogy out of these characters.

Is this the extended version, or the theatrical?

It has been a long time since I saw this movie and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this reaction with the three of you! I love how the movie just sucks you into Pandora and whatever is going on in our real world just doesn't exist for the duration of the movie. A phenomenal piece of entertainment! Thank you ladies for the time and effort that you put into everything that goes into this endeavor. It is truly appreciated!
