VOTE for our next MOVIE Series!
Added 2018-03-23 20:57:43 +0000 UTCSo we're half way through Harry Potter and thought it would be a good idea to have this up early! The rate we are growing here on Patreon, thanks to all of you, we'll most likely be able to get to all kinds of movies and show soon! Yay!
We picked the most popular requests!
Again, we'll have POLLs multiple times a month (including solo movie POLLs)!
The bigger we get, the more we can do! We love you for that! :D

The Hobbit first makes sense, yes. The Lord of the Rings is a sequel to The Hobbit. The sequel just happened to be filmed before the original, but The Hobbit was the original book and The Lord of the Rings is written as a sequel to it. Unlike the case of Star Wars as discussed previously, The Hobbit is the first chapter in this story.

2018-04-02 18:19:13 +0000 UTCI totally agree with Ozzy, my DVDs of the extended LOTR films are naturally split into two halves anyway where you have to remove the first disc and put in the second one to watch part 2. So it would feel very natural to watch them in two parts. It also gives them time to digest since those movies throw a lot at you! Can’t wait for these reactions either way :)

2018-03-30 17:26:54 +0000 UTCNo problem I'll look forward to voting in that poll. Thank you and I hope LOTR extended editions win too. :)
Ozzy
2018-03-30 14:54:01 +0000 UTCThanks again Ozzy for the ideas! I will put a POLL up once the next MOVIE Series wins to let you all decide how we will go about this (for LotR and Star Wars). We are getting so many requests from passionate fans and I want to make you all happy! If we do the extended (which would be really cool) we would totally do 2 parts since we wouldn't have a choice right now due to time... but that is a really good idea! I really wanted to work in the extended scenes for Harry Potter, but most of my blurays 'went missing' and I already purchased most of the original copies early on... so sorry that didn't work out so well! I'm still learning, but always for the better in the future! Thanks for being a great fan and being so supportive in many ways! You're awesome! :)

2018-03-30 14:23:21 +0000 UTCBoth the hobbit and LOTR were on the first poll done and LOTR got more votes than the hobbit even though people could have voted for both. It was agreed by Storm that she would do LOTR first
Ozzy
2018-03-30 09:38:21 +0000 UTCI agree kati
Ozzy
2018-03-30 09:33:14 +0000 UTCNo problem happy to help. Thank you for always being open to comments and suggestions. :)
Ozzy
2018-03-29 13:52:07 +0000 UTCOn The Lord of the Rings extended edition. The 3 movies can be split into 6 parts. With each part lasting no more than 2hours/2 and a half hour. For instance the first movie fellowship of the ring. The fellowship is formed half way through the movie. Which makes it a great time to pause and come back to at a later date.

2018-03-29 05:08:36 +0000 UTCNOOOO star wars has overtaken The Hunger Games!!! The Force wasn't with me on that one...
jayjay2961
2018-03-28 20:39:24 +0000 UTChonestly i dont whatever goes first even if the hobbit goes after lotr it really doesnt spoil anything.

2018-03-28 18:26:53 +0000 UTCHi again and thanks for more details! I love it! Both you and jayjay2961 are definitely convincing me! I never gave it thought before (no offense to any hardcore fans!)... but the Hobbit first does make sense! I will most likely have everyone vote on that too just to make it fair for everyone. I get a lot of passionate requests about both Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings about what order to view them in... I honestly understand your point of view and I hope when it comes to voting what order we watch these in, they're as understanding as you! I asked my twin brother and he's really laid back and just said ,"Do what your fans want of course"... then said he likes to watch movies in order of their release dates, but story wise he doesn't think it matters what we do. My oldest brother wouldn't want to debate because he just can't be bothered by anything. LOL! He makes me laugh! Again, you sold me on the idea and thank you for not spoiling anything about Star Wars! I'm excited for whatever we watch and it'll be so fun because Mom and Kim will be completely blind to both! Thanks again for taking the time to explain things like this to me! I do appreciate that! I just got home from work, so sorry for the late response! Thanks again for being here! :)

2018-03-28 02:46:44 +0000 UTCLOL! I love hearing this... I honestly never gave it thought since I saw LotR first... but Hobbit first would make sense right? I may put up a poll immediately after for that choice when LotR wins... just because so many are passionate about both ways... I want to make as many happy as possible :) I love both series! ;)
Storm Akima
2018-03-28 02:26:31 +0000 UTCI still think they should definitely watched LOTR first, plus The Hobbit wasn't even on the list, but hey, I would love it either way, because I adore these films so much.
kati
2018-03-27 14:17:50 +0000 UTCWhy? Because I feel that LOTR is a better introduction to the world of Tolkien and it's mythology. So that's why I would say watch LOTR first, and then the Hobbit. I think Storm's mom and sis would actually benefit on watching the movies in the order they came out.
kati
2018-03-27 14:16:07 +0000 UTCNot watching the Hobbit before LOTR would be a crime to be honest....
jayjay2961
2018-03-26 20:01:54 +0000 UTCThank you for your reply :) Glad you appreciate my suggestion! I could explain in much more depth, but I knew you haven't seen all the movies, so I didn't want to spoil it for you by going into details. I see why a poll seems like a good idea, but I'm afraid some people might vote based on what seems more logical at first glance, which would be either chonological order or release order, without realizing the many reasons there are to the order I mentioned, reasons I didn't name in order to avoid spoiling you... Those fans who request either release order or chronological order probably haven't considered this more complex alternative. I honestly believe I can convince anyone to whom I get to explain the reasons in depth (with spoilers). How about I talk to your brothers and convince them to convince you that this is the way? Or you can just pretend I'm Tormund and I'll tell you this is the way. :P For real, though, my order is tailored to make the most of the experience for new viewers, keeping mystery, plot twists etc. and avoiding that one trilogy spoils the other, which inarguably happens in both chronological order and release order. This is definitely worst in chronological order, which completely ruins the mystery of the original trilogy and central arc of the story, but release order on the order hand has the disadvantage of too much jumping around in time, and more importantly, no feeling of it all being one cohesive story with a proper ending. Episode 6 is THE ending, but if you start with 1-2-3, 4-5-6 are spoiled in so many ways. If I can't convince you with this, and letting me talk to your brothers is not an option, I suggest that when/if you eventually create the poll, the introduction will feature a presentation of each order. For each option in the poll, someone who requested that order writes their reasons why that order is the best, including spoilers if you can avoid reading it yourself. :) Sorry for the long messages, but I'm just passionate about this! By the way, did you see my other comment about watching The Hobbit before The Lord of the Rings? :)

2018-03-26 14:55:01 +0000 UTCHi Jachym! Very good idea! I'll add that one next time! I only saw parts of it so that would be fun! :)

2018-03-26 14:54:07 +0000 UTCHi Ozzy! That's a great idea! I haven't made time to do extra videos yet... I'll do that soon so more have an opportunity to vote! Thanks for always being helpful! :D
Storm Akima
2018-03-26 14:53:34 +0000 UTCHi Dorian!! Thanks for your input! I love reading these! I do believe I own the extended versions! I do believe those are better, but just depending on how much longer the movies are... we usually only have time right now to do this at night and I don't want to keep Mom up super late... but if it's not too much longer... I definitely would love to do that! I actually own 2 to 3 copies of each movie already since I'm always sharing my DVDs, which wind up missing and me buying more of the same. Doh! LOL. Thanks again for helping our channel! :)

2018-03-26 14:52:05 +0000 UTCThanks again LySandra! I appreciate you giving me your gmail! I just sent you a link! Thanks for your patience! You did everything great! I try to go on my computer as much as possible to send out links and never want anyone to wait... I work a lot, so can't send links until I'm home. Once you receive a link.. that's the only one you'll need and that will automatically update on it's own when I add videos. Yay! Thanks again for supporting our channel! :)

2018-03-26 14:47:22 +0000 UTCHi Sandtrooper! Wow! Thanks so much for the details! I've only seen a few of the Star Wars movies... and never all the way through besides two. It's great learning more on how to go about the series! Two of my brothers are huge Star Wars fans too! I will definately note your advice because it does, of course, make sense! I'll let everyone decide for us when the time comes to watch Star Wars since we do get a lot of fans requesting different orders- movie release dates and actual timeline orders... I want to make everyone happy and I know Star Wars is a strong and passionate fandom, so I'll have all SW fans help us decide! We always learn so much from fans like you and I really appreciate you taking out the time to explain reasons why this way is better! Thanks again for also supporting our channel! That helps us out a great deal! Love back from Connecticut, USA! :D

2018-03-26 14:30:33 +0000 UTCWhy The Hobbit AFTER The Lord of the Rings? Surely you'll start with the The Hobbit, Storm Akima..? :D It's a real shame if your mother and sister have the chance to see this story in the chronological order Tolkien wrote it in but then don't just because of the order the movies were made in :)
Sandtrooper (Lasse David Sand Østergaard)
2018-03-26 13:47:19 +0000 UTCYES, Extended Edition is a MUST, at the very least for the third movie. Also, I suggest starting with The Hobbit.
Sandtrooper (Lasse David Sand Østergaard)
2018-03-26 13:44:40 +0000 UTCWhen it comes to Star Wars, I strongly (VERY STRONGLY) recommend this order: 1) Rogue One: A Star Wars Story 2) Episode IV: A New Hope 3) Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back 4) Episode I: The Phantom Menace 5) Episode II: Attack of the Clones 6) Episode III: Revenge of the Sith 7) Episoce VI: Return of the Jedi --- Leaving out episodes VII and VIII because their story arc is incomplete until episode IX comes out in two years, so there won't be a proper ending with them. Besides, they lack the world-building and feeling of progress in the story that the other movies have. --- Episodes I, II, and III serve as a flashback before the end to find out "what really happened back then". If you watch chronologially and start with I-II-III, they ruin the mystery of IV-V-VI BIG TIME (in part because then you already know "what happened back then"), but again, VI has the feeling of a proper ending, so you should end with that. There are a whole lot of other reasons for this order, pertaining to gradual character introductions, plot twists, etc. I'll gladly provide more detailed reasons if you doubt me, but otherwise please take my word that this is the order you need to watch them in. :D Love from Denmark! <3
Sandtrooper (Lasse David Sand Østergaard)
2018-03-26 13:41:46 +0000 UTCI don't care what you watch first as much as I care about the order you watch them in when the time comes! In the case of The Lord of the Rings, PLEASE start with the The Hobbit trilogy, and then you have to watch the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings, as someone else mentioned. Extended Editions have some crucial scenes I will never understand how they could leave out. The Hobbit first because it's a real shame if your mother and sister have the chance to be told this story in the chronological order Tolkien wrote it in but then don't just because of the order the movies were made in. I'd love to see them watching The Hobbit without having been "spoiled" by The Lord of the Rings. :)

2018-03-26 13:29:20 +0000 UTCOkay cool, thanks
Elliott Bishop
2018-03-26 13:27:34 +0000 UTCRegardless of what Storm Akima do, you've got to watch The Hobbit trilogy first and The Lord of the Rings trilogy after, and for the love of all you hold dear, watch the Extended Edition of LotR or at LEAST of the third one! :)
Sandtrooper (Lasse David Sand Østergaard)
2018-03-26 13:21:56 +0000 UTCIKR I can’t wait for that as well

2018-03-25 21:42:41 +0000 UTCBoth are so different and I do believe Mom and Kim will really enjoy both! I have a soft spot for Pirates and Jack Sparrow though! XD
Storm Akima
2018-03-25 16:29:54 +0000 UTCI love everything in this POLL, lol! I have to admit, I haven't seen a lot of the third original movie of Star Wars... and missed a lot of 1,2 and 3... so OMG! So that may be fun for a 3 of us! I'm hoping we'll be able to get to all of these series and more! I am hoping LotR wins this vote though ;)
Storm Akima
2018-03-25 16:29:10 +0000 UTCLord of the Rings as that is epic. Also love star wars as it is one of my favorite series.

2018-03-25 04:42:22 +0000 UTCI asked the same question, and it seems they post their full length reactions on a private Google Drive. So they have to send out an e-mail to each subscriber with that link to keep it private. It doesn't do it automatically, so there is a wait for her to personally verify the donation, and send the link out.

2018-03-25 03:42:01 +0000 UTCHow do you watch the full reactions? I'm new I have no idea what I'm doing, already pledged and confirmed my email

2018-03-25 03:14:44 +0000 UTCIf you do Lord of the Rings, please do the Extended Editions of the trilogy! You can easily find the individual copies of the blu-rays in the bargain bin at Wal-Mart, at least that's where I got my copies of them for only $8 CAD each, so much cheaper than buying the box set of them.

2018-03-24 04:17:58 +0000 UTCI love Hunger Games so much! I remember I was working out and Hunger Games was on TV... I never saw the movie and never read the books... during the movie I had low expectations and ended up slowing my workout to a stop to finish the movie... I was so hooked! After that, I read all the books and was ready for the next movies! I really hope this series wins soon too! ;)
Storm Akima
2018-03-24 02:18:29 +0000 UTCLOVE LotR!! I was debating whether to just watch it in between Harry Potter... but I decided to leave it to the POLLs since I don't want Mom and Kim confusing LotR with Harry Potter history, lol! They'll probably freak out more too! ;)

2018-03-23 21:09:19 +0000 UTCAll of them are so good! Will the losers of this poll stay on the list for future polls? Would be a crime to dismiss them completely.
