If I've got the week right, I might be very happy in a few hours.
Otherwise, I'll be very happy in a week or two.

I remember a lot of people were against the alternate timelines at the time, since it came along with RTD saying that in his mind, every Doctor had actually bigenerated, so it came off as just more shilling for his own idea. But now that we have a bit of space from it, it's much easier to imagine as its own thing.

Joy from seeing Seven and Ace again more than balances out how the response is muted having already seen them together in New Who. Sophie bringing her A-game is certainly another thing that balances out the equation. Figured you and Jess would both have the big response to Ace talking about her nan. Though a different ball game, I get a few flashbacks with my dad in his last months. Sort of the way she says on some visits, not much was said. Or we just talked about small things like in The Godfather how Vito and Michael get the small laugh over Anthony reading the funny papers. Yes, Sophie sold it, what you said of, “that mixture of being grateful she got to have that time and also regret at the circumstances it had to be under.” Perfect description. It is great to get more of a look at how Seven and Ace parted ways. Then the burst of joy just wrecks you in the best possible way. Second the thing of just because you’ve now seen the children fly, it doesn’t mean that you can’t still have an experience like this with them afterwards. Perfect way to close these out. Well, Jess can’t do anymore damage with this Classic Who popsicle stand, and we’re done. Feels unreal.

Oh, my Lord, I love the outfit, Jess. Addressing the important announcement. I knew that about you having already reacted to the Eighth Doctor film. Was quite some time ago, but I remember it being uploaded. Has it really been that long? Now to this incredible video. Without question the nostalgia would be strong even without much distance of time. You knew that was coming given how emotional you got with the big Seven and Ace season at the end of Thirteen’s run even before you saw any of it. Gets a man very much in the heart seeing your reaction to Sophie as Ace walking around the TARDIS, putting on the hat, and seeing her and Sylvester get this time of reunion. Continue to love Ace saying “Professor” when addressing the Doctor. And the Doctor mentions alternate timelines where certain regenerations never happened. Opening the door to so many possibilities. We could have older Seven and Ace as the Doctor and companion duo that never ended. We could have an older Eleven and the Ponds. We could have older Twelve and Clara, or River, or both with Bill and Nardy. And best of all, this would be an ideal way to FINALLY get the return of Matthew as Adric. Allow him that chance to return. Takes a turn for the dramatic when Fenric is brought up, good words about the chess board by the way. Love how Ace says she doesn’t want to remember, and Seven says they both should. And there’s the equal accountability of neither of them bringing it up hence, and how they just buried it. Feels like we can relate to that one. Knew that Ace mentioning about how her nan recognized her would get you something fierce. I was right. Got me pretty good too. We get more context of how Ace left, sounding along the lines of how Clara initially tried to part ways with Twelve. The way they talk about it is terrific, complete with the laughter of where he dropped her off. Just the pure dad pride that he has in Ace is wonderful. As the hologram of Seven said, a parent’s joy is to see their children fly. And now Seven reminds Ace that she needed to leave so she could fly and go on to do all that she’s done. He reminds her that she is wonderful. She deserves to be wonderful. For she has a universe inside of her as she contains multitudes. Like the companions before and since, she contains multitudes. And it leads to the immensely emotional declaration of love. Adore your reactions there. And they recall their famous final lines, and the joy is high when they break out the spoons. As you said, joy radiates off the screen. Reduced me to a blubbering mess, and now it’s made better by your perfect reaction, Jess. Yes, we will be waiting until Christmas for New Who’s return. The tea will be very cold by then. Meantime, this was more beautiful than could be expected, thank you so very much, Jess.

Another one where the impact is a bit muted since we already saw these two reunite on the actual show, but even more than last time, it's such a joy seeing them together, with so many great callbacks that don't feel forced at all, that I still love every bit of it. And seeing Sophie get to do much more emotional material about the built up impact of seeing so much suffering and death, like the original series was never really equipped to handle, makes me a lot more interested in tracking down more of her work. No surprise given both our personal connections that the big emotional highlight is her talking about her last days with Nan, which she delivers so well with that mixture of being grateful she got to have that time and also regret at the circumstances it had to be under. And of course, after decades of it being a total mystery how she left the TARDIS, it's a treat to get just the barest context that each fan can build their own ideas from. All leading to that burst of joy at the ending, which I'm pretty sure is just Sylvester and Sophie being allowed to go ham on the set. The best part might be to see your children fly, but that doesn't mean you can't still have an experience like this with them afterwards.
Congrats on your entry to a very exclusive club of people who have seen every bit of Doctor Who, and hopefully you don't forget us plebs you met on the way. I hope the rest you get now is as good as you've earned.

oh Sesska! I do hope you're feeling better. I have been thinking about you this week. that was a lovely Tales of the TARDIS and it was a lovely reaction from you. On another note I did laugh out loud when you said you were doing reactions to Blake's 7. I grew up with that show. I hope you like it but we'll find out together won't we! it will at least get us all off your backs won't it, so there's that! I love your channel. it's wonderful. Sorry to be sentimental but it's a really lovely place on the Internet.
