I was under the impression that Alien: Earth had been renewed already. Nice to have the confirmation. Going to be sad not getting to share it with Jess, though I hope she loves what’s to come. I’ve no doubt that what’s to come will be grand. Behind on Predator. Seeing the Predator face off against the T. Ocellus, the idea has merit. It is a roll of the dice with sharing with Jess the love of the beginnings of a beautiful bestie relationship being formed. That would depend on the bestie relationship. The times I’m not entirely simpatico, it is still very lovely how Jess gets into that sort of thing. Curious to see how the one in the new Predator film plays out. It’s interesting how it never really occurred how there was the trend of having non-white female leads in Predator films until you mentioned it. When you did, thought back on the films, and said, “Oh, yeah, you’re right.” Which is a part of it that’s rather great of they have the diverse representation without ever really making anything of it. Like how we said with Tales of the Empire with the one Jedi being non-binary, and even the Fourth Sister never much bats an eye. Here’s hoping the new Predator film goes on the polls.

If it’s not, it would, I presume, be in the running for favorite episode of the season. Nice to see this backdoor pilot for the spinoff that never was. Nice seeing Alex getting to have the normal job whilst still aiding the hunt. She got the good dig in about Claire looking like Biker Barbie, and you ask is that a bad thing. I got more a PG Hot Topic vibe myself. Claire does test the patience some when not taking seriously Patience’s vision. Knowing how you have the trigger when people say, “I won’t” or things of that nature, I could hear you having words about that one when watching the episode. They got Kaia out of the hospital. We both did not like Kaia ripping the IV out as she did. Jody continues to be one of the best. Great to see her do some damn fine work with Donna. Good to know about the spike in your serotonin levels when Donna is around. Your reactions throughout this were great. We both clocked about the same time about creatures escaping from the bad place. Interesting when the boys take a back seat. Dean and I made similar dinner bell comments. Love how you had the excitement for Betty. I wouldn’t have minded if there was a Betty, and you shift to rooting for the old gal, rather than the boys. It really wasn’t Betty, nor Godzilla, meaning I don’t get the boys imitating the one Austin Powers gag. Shame. Saddening to see Kaia killed, and how it serves as the wake-up call for Claire. Do like the talk that Jody had with her. You had the “I told you so.” sort of remark when Claire admits that Jody was right. You apologized for said remark, and I didn’t mind. The boys are back home, though there are the loose creatures. And apparently, evil Kaia. Hell of an Organization XIII cosplay by the way. The explanation on the Betty of it all is sweet. I know it of course, though I think it is the first real discussion on the matter in Supernatural. Adorable and sweet that your best friend sent you the special Betty for your surgery. I imagine that some might find that odd. But then again, soon to be thirty years ago when I went in for a procedure, I had Emperor Palpatine, my action figure of him to be precise, for company, so I stand by having Betty for the surgery. Not sure if I’ve ever caught the Betty ring; have to look for that. Thank you for the great reaction, Jess.

2025-11-13 04:53:14 +0000 UTCI had to share this as soon as possible: Alien Earth has finally been confirmed to be getting a second season. There was never really much doubt, but after how long Disney blue-balled Doctor Who there was a real chance we'd have to wait a whole other year for it. And even better for me was seeing the news immediately after coming out of Predator Badlands, which kicks so much ass and is easily the most natural, resonant melding of the Alien and Predator franchises we've ever gotten, meaning there's a very real chance of Yautja vs. T. Ocellus, which you know you want to see. And I definitely expect this movie to be added to the voting list ASAP, as even while not sharing your adoration of seeing "besties" form, the main pairing here really got to me, and I don't even mind at all that it finally breaks the streak of non-white female leads in Predator movies.
