Upping the everything is a fair description for this one. Leads to putting a hold on the Justina worry. Quite sweet how you’ve invested in her and Roberto as you have. Concerning Roberto’s anger, yes, all of that is valid, and one cannot blame him for his anger. You want to tell him that Daryl feels his pain, much though he’s trying hard not to, particularly seeing as if he does, he’ll likely think about Beth and Isabelle, and he REALLY doesn’t want to do that right now. To Daryl’s credit, he does admit to Carol that he does care, he just can’t let it get to him. He is being one stubborn man with rejecting the help with the sailing. He does get the gentle chiding from Valentina and her gorgeous braid, as you put it. Woman is quite a lovable diva, yes. And it was all set for Cooper to join them. The poor delightful soul, as you dubbed him. Your reaction to his sudden death broke my heart some. The attack does lead to the big action set piece. Yeah, I heard fans complaining about the pacing of the fewish episodes. I was fine with it. Big talking point is the attack. Sort of figured the editing would be a mite difficult for you. I can see how Vikings would have been a tall order on that one. One problem I have with action sequences that take up a good chunk of the episode when it concerns commenting on reactions is that talking points aren’t that plentiful. Daryl and Carol did some good work. Antonio does step up to the plate. As does Federico, whom as you praise, he is a leader who’s not afraid to join his community in the trenches. The sense of community with this place is well on display. We agree on loving Paz embracing her Indiana Jones with the whip. One badass lady. As I say, her and Antonio are emerging as my favorites of this Spain arc. Bringing us back to the distasteful business of giving the girls away. Federico does unfortunately have the fair point of without that in place, they would not have had anywhere near the arsenal they have to have survived the attack from the Beyond Thunderdome Wicker Man looking motherfuckers. Sort of begs the question as to where they got their arsenal. You ruminated on that yourself, and you posit the plausible idea that Torres, (yeah, you not remembering his name would rankle, good,) is supplying them with their shit so as to convince the community that the system is a good one. It is a question. They seemed remarkably well armed. Among other things, where the fuck did they get a goddamn catapult? Loved your reaction, by the way, to said catapult. Federico is starting to show some subtle sinister qualities making me wonder if he’s hiding something. For instance, there was quite the draconian sentence given to the one guy. How you say, you question is it really letting God decide one’s fate when you chain a guy up and set walkers on him. Does go against the concept as they taught it in Sunday School, yes. Slight benefit of the doubt is given as he is shaken from the attack. I’m wondering if there’s more to that. Love how Roberto is a young man who is determined. You spoke true that no one was terribly shocked by him stealing the truck. You compared it to a past show. The show you referred to, well, that could apply to a few shows. Few guesses that I have. One that stands out being from this past summer. That one guy was determined to shoot Roberto, good on Daryl for stopping that. Daryl just bluntly called the dude on the horseshit that the guy was going to shoot the tires. In his place, I’d have said, “Well, then, he needs to work on his aim.” The scene gives further glimpses of the VERY strong tension between Federico and Antonio; we are both curious to dive more into that. Curious who the woman was. By that, I mean: Two men who have this much tension, and the tension runs as deep as it does, I surmise it’s over a woman, though again, we’re curious to learn more. Love how Carol goes with Antonio, and Daryl eventually goes with. Gets to be “a curmudgeon on the road” as you say. And now we have the worry about the new cuteness couple that is Justina and Roberto, though it’s now known that they were reunited. Question is where they were taken. That’s for next week, or maybe later. Meantime, this was just such a fun reaction, Jess, thank you so much.
