I'd love to see Mike Myers do a voice-only role in the show, with a weird accent that makes him unrecognizable until you see him in the credits like Inglourious Basterds.

I note how we differ with colds how you knock back the Dayquil, whereas I Alka-Seltzer colds into submission up to and including when I had covid three years ago and spent the week thinking it was just a bad head cold as I caught a mild strain. Now to the episode. Quite the prank filled episode, as you say. And don’t worry, you can call me no fun either as I share the aversion to pranks. Especially receiving pranks is not something either of us vibe with. We are protective of Enid being in the line of fire. We love our Enid, and we want her SAFE. All the same: A sick thing for Enid to do making Wednesday think she was dead. Wednesday’s visions are now blocked. I too assume there’s the combination of exhaustion and something else external that’s led to the block, vision-wise. Morticia is concerned about it and takes the book. We got defensive when Wednesday yelled at Thing for that, I said, “Don’t get angry at Thing, Wednesday, mamas are scary.” Love all your words for Thing. Heart is going out to Bianca being forced to carry out Dort’s demands, even failing with the attempt of defiance as Dort anticipated that. Can respect the game of Dort having the foresight of anticipating Bianca using the siren song against him, even if one doesn’t like him for it. And it is high praise from you that legend though Steve is, you don’t like Dort. Sucks for Galpin. I hear you on not liking that he’s dead. I anticipated it some as I heard the character got moved from main cast to guest cast, for whatever reason. So, my own reaction to his death was less shock, and more, “It seemed likely.” You explain why you didn’t like the decision, and I see Ryan’s commented much the same, and I ain’t arguing that one; I get it. Leads to Gomez being one damn supportive dad. Quick thing: You make the comment “Gomez is c*nty.”, (Not even sure if I can type the phrase out, hence the precaution with the censorship.) and I note, “I still don’t understand what that phrase means.” Makes Wednesday visit Tyler, hijacking Enid’s driver’s ed class to do so with a delightful showcase of the dies iræ of Verdi’s Requiem. One small nitpick which I can excuse for the humor of the scene: Now I say this as someone who only had a small amount of community college experience, so I concede that I’m no expert, but a school like this, wouldn’t they have a shuttle bus of some kind for Wednesday to use to get to the hospital so she doesn’t have to hijack poor Enid’s driver’s ed class? Took me a second to recognize Heather Matarazzo and when that clicked, there was happiness to see her. Just as there was happiness to see Thandiwe Newton. Seeing her made me say, “Oh, yeah, I had heard she’d be in this!” And we see Tyler chained up and still alive even after he got shot. Clearly, Heather needs to work on her aim some. Diving into his brain, perhaps not something to do, though maybe Wednesday would encourage it. The staff of the place wants to rehabilitate him, which, oh, I’m SURE that THAT won’t backfire horrifically. I think “empathy” might be the better word for Tyler as he was the victim to Laurel’s machinations, yet that doesn’t excuse his nefarious acts, such as threats against Enid which causes sympathy to dry up. Wednesday gets the good burn in return, making him go all Oliver Reed in freaking out. Very sweet of Enid committing to doing something nice for Thing’s birthday. Love how we all ask Thing about getting drunk, how could he do it? No, literally, how could he do it? The sheer mechanics of it are mind-boggling. There is also the consensus view of LOVE for seeing the legend that is Christopher Lloyd in this show; need more of him, and I loved your reaction to seeing him. Then Wednesday has to rescue Enid (ok, fine, and Bruno too,) from the deathtrap. You got to feel for Enid: She woke up this morning with a start when she fell out of bed and left from her dreaming with a feeling of unnameable dread. Now she ends up in this deathtrap. Oh, woe is she, her life is a misery. Of course, a big highlight of your reaction is when you had your lovely reaction to Enid’s VERY romantic declaration of love for Wednesday. Goddamn does that little lady make the blood sing with the fire of romance on that one. And you, Jess, made the heart swell with your beautiful reaction to that. Thing is ride or die braving the falling blades. Leads a man to yell, “Serpentine, Thing, serpentine!!” And this was all done by Agnes, share your uncertainty about her at this point, see how that goes. And Pugsley is dealing with Slurp getting loose leaving Pugsley to yell after Slurp, “Wait! Wait! Where are you going? ...I was gonna make espresso.” Slurp had the light nosh on the driver’s ed instructor. Don’t know what’s the worse fate for the guy, this or when Morpheus crashed the serial killer convention. All in all, another very fun Wednesday reaction, Jess, thank you.
