Geometry Nodes Ep17 – Finishing the Falloff and Node Groups
Added 2022-09-15 10:29:57 +0000 UTCIn this video, we’ll polish the linear falloff setup from Ep 16 and add more features. We introduce a way of telling where the falloff gradient starts and warp the falloff using perlin noise. Then, we package the setup into a node group for easy reuse.

Great series, thanks. I have noticed in various places you are using a Vector Math node set to multiply, but then plug in a float value to be able to control all three values at once. If you set the Vector Math node to Scale instead of Multiply, this is the equivalent with fewer nodes.

2023-04-16 17:02:56 +0000 UTCThank you for this series! One question, when adding vectors from noise at the position of the geometry, why prefer rgb values instead of fac? I can't clearly see the difference between and I can't understand the approach behind even if you told that we need vectors from 3D space. Furthermore remapping noise with 0.25min and 0.75max gives me a strange offset, seems works fine with 0-1. Could you maybe attach some documentation for these things?
