Real Case Scenario 2
Added 2023-03-24 14:00:05 +0000 UTCHey guys! Need your opinion, won't take long :)
Would you like me to use AI to create a script for a product, just as the one you get from the client, and see me create a 3D commercial based on that? From script till editing in AE? Can be simple product showcase with just light & camera animation, could be a mashup of all the sim i know :D
Probs 2-6 hour video, will take me 2 weeks so sacrificing one usual tutorial?

2023-03-27 14:48:13 +0000 UTCSorry Bret, your emotions cloud your perspective and I hope everything works out for your wife. New inventions come along, the printing press, cars, computers, etc. we must adapt and move forward. Copyright for images is different than writing copy just to clarify. I wish you and your wife the best.

2023-03-24 20:00:42 +0000 UTCI see your stress, but I would love to share my take on it. Should mention that I won't start an argument, but rather express my opinion as I also considered myself in the risk group when AI started to progress. The fact, end client does not care how the service/product is delivered (spending days writing full text or writing prompts). You don't care how your computer was built. Company that sold you your PC or its parts want it to a. minimize expenses b. maximise profits So as a service provider, being it a designer, concept artist or a copywriter, we should adapt the workflow in the way we can still give a. & b. to the end client. Unfortunately, shit happens, or fortunately, technologies advance, every one has an opportunity to think about it differently, but what I try to say, is, to my mind, wins the one who was able to adapt faster. I use these services because I cannot justify hiring an art director & concept artists for a tutorial project, right?

2023-03-24 19:42:44 +0000 UTCLmao. Dude, my wife is a copywriter, you realize the “tool” you’re referring to is just regurgitating shit other people wrote clearly since you mentioned copywrite issues, so if everyone just starts using Ai to write copy….where does that put my wife’s job? You’re insanely ignorant if you think ai won’t replace copywriters and artists. Already seeing tons of copywriters lose their jobs. Same for concept artists. Open your eyes and quit looking for any easy way out.

2023-03-24 16:43:35 +0000 UTCHi Bret, I can understand your apprehension but AI will be a useful tool. It will never replace human artists, the biggest issue is work sampling and artist credits/copyright. Think of it as a personal assistant or intern, not competition.

2023-03-24 14:26:35 +0000 UTCI think this is a good idea. Just worked on a tricky project with a team. So many crucial import, export, workflow things outside of animation that make you look well or not. Maybe good to touch on some of these at some point I think. Colour space, alembic hirerarchys etc. looking forward to this one
