Added 2020-02-01 04:25:36 +0000 UTCI filmed the entire appreciation video. I went to edit it. The audio file from the Zoom H6 had somehow glitched and was an unclickable file with only a square for the name. I tried running it through EaseUs data recovery. It doesn't recognize that the file is there. I tried just using the audio from the camera, but unfortunately you can't hear me over the camera's internal sound.
Every step of the way, I've had problems that are entirely out of my control. I don't even know what happened or how to prevent it so I don't lose more videos in the future. My throat is sore and I'm unable to film the entire thing a second time.
I am really unsure what else I can do and I'm out of time. I'm sorry.

That reeeealy sucks. The only thing I can think of for the future is something like the Zoom F6 - you can record to the SD card and into your computer at the same time. That said, I haven't used one to know for sure. Thanks for all you do!

2020-02-01 22:01:36 +0000 UTCThe folder could not be clicked, could not be renamed, could not be right clicked to show file size. The .wav itself couldn't be seen bc the file was inaccessible. Using EaseUs was unable to even list the file to scan.

2020-02-01 18:04:45 +0000 UTCDon't worry! Shit happens (does patreon let me swear?) and often there's not much you can do about it. Better to just move in as and when you can. Thinking about avoiding this in the future though, can I ask what format you save to? Or if your final file had a size or if it was 0 bytes? Every problem generally has its own method of recovery so there's rarely just one piece of software that can save the day (upsettingly). Often the data is all there, but it just failed to finalize and so nothing knows how to read the data. But all this stuff can be difficult, and there's a reason there's data recovery experts out there, so sometimes it's better to just take the hit and accept that it sometimes happens (but only if it doesn't happen very often!)
