A Delay
Added 2019-03-29 01:35:14 +0000 UTCOkay loves! More less-than-great news 😅 One of my Rodes started malfunctioning a week or two ago. I realized that it will work alright until I whisper up close to it, then it goes dead. I was going to try to film today's video with one Rode, but now my mic stand has lost this rubber bit to it (it just split in two and dropped to the floor) so it can't hold its place now. So it's unbalanced and just swings sideways.
I talked to some of you in the community Discord (if you haven't joined, you should really check it out!) and I've decided I'll postpone the appreciation video for a tiny bit. I will send my now two broken Rodes in for repair under the warranty. I will buy a new Rode, a new mic stand, and a new stereo bar so that I can make videos with two Rodes (since one of mine still works) while the repair goes through.
Lots of things breaking, and I might not get this video up before the clock runs out on midnight on Sunday, but it will be my next video for sure. Sorry for this, but sometimes things like this just happen I guess. I'm going to be working to resolve it and get back on track.
