Trivia Fact of both Batman Returns and Batman Forever: For Batman Returns Tim Burton actually cast Marlon Wayans as Dick Grayson/Robin and actually shot scenes for the film as Dick Grayson but those scenes were cut from Batman Returns, because they thought it was one character too many. His first outing as Robin on the film screen was supposed to be Batman Forever, which had Tim Burton set to direct and had Michael Keaton as Batman, Marlon Wayans as Dick Grayson/Robin, Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent/Two Face, and Robin Williams as the Riddler, but Tim Burton dropped out of directing the film due to creative differences, Marlon was fired because the studio thought people were not ready to see an African American Robin, and then Michael, Billy, and Robin all dropped out. Would have loved to have seen that Tim Burton version of Batman Forever. :)
