David Oyelowo is one of my favorite actors, if you want to see another amazing performance from him check his miniseries, Lawmen: Bass Reaves, that co-produced with Taylor Sheridan. David Oyelowo portrays one of the first black sheriffs in American history. Bass Reaves was also the inspiration behind the Lone Ranger and Hollywood execs race swapped the character for the 1938 film which would inspire The Lone Ranger television show in 1949. Also great cast: David Oyelowo, Dennis Quaid, Donald Sutherland, and Barry Pepper. This series definitely finally gives Bass Reaves the attention the he should gotten way before now. He deserves to be just as well known as Lawmen: Wyatt Earp and Elliott Ness.
