This is my only memory of the hours I have lost: This menstruating vampire disguised as a novel opens in the city of St. Louis, home of Nelly and every delicious food America gets to claim as our own. The clown says he went to the "bad" part of the city and justifies that by saying that some prepubescent boys thought that his clowning wasn't cool. I won't go into why that offends me. But I would be less angry if a Bigfeet strolled up with my wife tossed over his shoulder and hit me with the wink and a finger gun before walking off into the sunset. I have a stool for Duane to stand on so he can feel like a big man. And a superman punch that is just waiting to meet his Lil Duane. Okay, now what is the thing about a detective in this clown book?
